I found this gel at a local health food store for 45% off and snatched it up! I've begun to replace many of my current skincare products with (mostly) natural and/or organic versions that are free of toxic ingredients, so in my hunt for a moisturizer I decided to try this. Although it's labelled for use around the eyes, I use it all over. I have combination skin and experience some dryness during the winter -- I find that this works well on slightly dry skin, but dry areas need a bit more moisture at night. I love the texture: both lightweight and easy to smooth on the skin (as another plus, you don't need much). I've never had to worry about this gel causing a breakout for my slightly acne-prone skin because it isn't thick or heavy. If I can find it on sale again (the listed price of 17.95 USD/1 oz is a bit high for my budget), I'll definitely repurchase.

*Kicks self for buying.* I was looking for a non-greasy morning eye moisturizer and a little help with my puffy morning eyes. Instead, I got overpriced aloe vera gel that made my undereye area feel stingy, balled up under my concealer, and barely de-puffed my eyes. I get better results from a cool washcloth. (And that's free!) I ended up using this mostly at night, and occasionally as a facial moisturizer because I hate wasting money. The gel formula is on the runny side and takes a while to sink in. The pump added insult to injury, dispensing too much product. Once the bottle was about two-thirds gone, the gel wouldn't come up through the pump, forcing me to unscrew the top and dip my finger inside. That's when I decided it was time to make Alba Botanica Green Tea Eye Gel take a long walk off a short pier.

i dont have extreme dark circles, fine lines or wrinkles but i have sensitive and allergy prone skin. before trying it on my eyes, i tested in on the inner side of my arm - no irritation caused.
when i first applied it i was so scared of some kind of a burning feeling that it caused...but in a minute it disappeared and felt good and refreshing. I am using it like 3 times a week and take just a tiny amount (a pea or dab size for both eyes, not more). the container is huge, it will last me for a year or over. I haven't felt that burning effect since then anymore...i also noticed that i dont have to pad my eyes too much with this product to avoid burning, it absorbs quickly and leaves the eye area moisturized.it has sticky consistency, but light, although i don't feel any refreshment to my eyes. I think this product contain active ingredients which maybe are too active for my eyes and may sometimes cause some unpleasant inflammatory feeling. But i haven't experienced any such kind of problems with other eye gels. I absolutely love my Madara eye cream.

Eh. It's not causing any harm but I'm not noticing any benefits after several weeks either. Very runny and you have to be really careful with the pump or you end up with way too much, and it takes a while to absorb. Will not repurchase.

It was okay at first. Didn't seem to do much but I just wanted something to nourish my eye area and this had green tea. About the 5th day of use it, it began to sting. My eyes were tearing up and everything. It was horrible.

This is no miracle product by any means but I believe it does exactly what it says on the website description: "Firms, tones and smooths wrinkle prone skin". The product feels great going on and it does improve the "over all" appearance of my under eye area. However the solution is rather watery and therefore does not provide the kind of hydration I'm looking for. I think this stuff is really decent especially for the price, but if your looking for something that's ultra hydrating this is NOT your product. I'll probably continue using this but I'll need to pair it with something more hydrating for night time. If I find something else to use with it I'll be sure to update this post.

It's unrealistic for people to expect this product to do 10 things in 1. It's primarily a good, reliable eye gel for depuffing the eyes and waking you up in the morning. I keep it in the fridge, dab some on first thing while I make my coffee. It feels incredible and definitely firms things up. Later, I wash it off and apply a hyaluronic eye cream. I look pretty damn good for 38, but I'm not expecting a miracle. :-)

I tried this gel because I am am slowly switching to natural beauty products, and usually I love Alba, but this was a disappointment. It seems cheap - $15 for a full ounce - but once you put it on, you realize that it's mostly just aloe vera. The gel barely moisturized my eyes, and unlike other eye creams I've used, it didn't do a thing to help my puffiness. I returned this item for Avalon Organics' revitalizing eye cream, and I'm much happier.

This product gets props for being natural. My eye area did not improve as a result of using it and I was so thankful to move on to a less natural, more scientific product.

Let me start by saying that I don't have "eye issues" no dark circle, no puffiness or no deep lines. I do have VERY oily, sensitive and acne prone skin and I am over 40 so I like to use a nice light moisturizer for the eye area. Finding a basic moisturizer is becoming more and more difficult, every eye product I've found and loved was discontinued (clinique moisture surge, oil of olay ??). I don't understand why most manufacturers seem to believe that EVERYONE has a gazillion beauty issues that they want resolved with one product. NOT! Anyway, This is definately a basic eye gel. Nothing special but I like that it is a soothing gel that wakes you up in the morning. You get a huge bottle compared to other eye treatments and it comes in a sanitary pump bottle. It does not migrate into my eyes and does not burn. You do have to give it few seconds to absorb before applying your eye makeup. If you have dehydrated eyes, or other eye "issues" this will disappoint but for younger ladies wanting a preventive product of those of us with no real eye issues this fits the bill. Will buy again but will keep looking for that perfect moisturizer.

im not quite sure about this eye gel. it does feel refreshing and seems to wake up the eye area, but other than that i cant really tell if it is moisturizing or does anything much other than refresh. since it is very light, i use it during the day to wake up my eye area, at night i prefer heavier moisturizers. the little bottle lasts a really long time so i wont need to repurchase for quit a while, if i do

I used to get dry spots on my eyelids. Luckily, my Mom had this in the house. After one use the redness was reduced. After a few more, the dry spots were gone. This product is pleasant and it doesn't hurt if you get it in your eyes.

I was disappointed in this product. Alba usually makes high quality skincare so I decided to get something non-greasy for my eyes. It turns out that this gel is very burny and leaves the eye area sticky. I noticed no improvement and it burned too much to use for very long. I wound up using this on a sunburn because it was the closest thing I had to aloe gel in my medicine -- very, very expensive aloe gel.

So I've tried both the Beauty Without Cruelty Green Tea Eye Gel and this Alba version. Both are suspiciously similar. They're in exactly the same kind of packaging and claim practically the same things. I threw away the package box for the Alba version so I can't compare ingredients. Both got me with their natural ingredients and claims of being partly organic. This received the same rating as the BWC eye gel since both felt and worked exactly the same. Even the packaging texture is identical.

This eye gel, in my opinion, is a solid product. It leaves the skin around my eye area very soft, smooth, and supple. Very cooling and soothing upon application so its great for waking up tired/puffy eyes. Fast-absorbing and extremely light in texture. It can be on the runny side and will definitely sting if it gets in your eyes. I don't have any prominent fine lines or wrinkles, so I can't comment on that aspect. Probably not much of a miracle worker, but it serves well as a basic moisturizing eye gel with soothing properties.

A good, basic, moisturizing eye gel. I use this at night and in the morning when I wake up the outside corners of my eyes aren’t dry and uncomfortable anymore. I also sometimes use it in the morning; it seems to absorb pretty quickly and works well under eye makeup. Nice pump packaging, light texture. As I use a bunch of different eye creams/gels from free samples, etc, I doubt I’ll run out of this for a very long time, but when I do, I might repurchase if I find it on sale.

bought this @ whole foods for $13.99 (1 fl oz). i really like that this eye gel is light and absorbs into the skin easily. the only thing i'm not too big on is that the consistency is a bit more "watery" than i generally like and it has stung my eyes when it's gotten a little too close to my eyes (as in right up on the lash line). nothing spectacular, but it is pretty decent.

WHAT A GREAT LITTLE EYEGEL! I keep mine in the fridge for when I wake up. Makeup goes over top of this really well as I use it every morning. Nothing too heavy, definalty no wrinkle fighters or heavy chemicals....JUST PURE GENIUS! The aloe is VERY soothing and makes the skin smoother and happier. I have never found an eye cream or gel that I like more! It can be a tad pricey... but worth it!!! Definalty hunt one down at a whole foods market! retails for $16.99 CDN.
