God, this smells so good! A light lotion that absorbs quickly into the skin. I also use this as a hand lotion. Works perfectly!

This is a good daily moisturiser and makes the skin feel soft and supple. But the effect wears of towards the end of the day. I have normal-dry skin and it provides just enough coverage. Given that this product is targeted for dry skin, I don't think this alone will suffice for dry skin people. Specially for the dry months, it has to be teamed up with other creams/oils.
Having said that, it has a nice mild smell and I don't have any complaints about the packaging too. Will definitely consider buying it again.

Love the scent and the texture. Not greasy at all but very hydrating. It absorbes easily, without having to rub it in too much, which is always a plus as bathing and getting ready takes ages for me, and I'm always late for work/meetings with friends.
The consistency is also well balanced, not too buttery but not runny either.
My previous moisturizer was Garnier Hydra Lock, which I hated! It was waaay to greasy.

I think I found my perfect body lotion, fairly cheap and always easy to find. Will definitely repurchase!

Nobody seems to be reviewing this, which is a shame because this little darling is really worth checking out.
I have to admit I snobbishly ignored it myself too, even though I've tried so many body moisturizers in every from available. From heavy, greasy butters to light runny lotions, I've tried a ton of things, not because I face dryness problems, but mainly because nice smelling, soft skin is an instant pick-me-up to me. However even though I kept seeing this on the shelves for years, I never put it in my cart, until very recently I was killing time scrolling through a beauty blog, and the lady blogger claimed she can't live without it and will go out of her way to get it. And I thought wow, maybe I should give it a chance. Turns out, I should have done that earlier.
This lotion or milk or light cream or whatever you call it feels surprisingly rich when I spread it; it melts into skin like a dream, and it's actually very pleasant to massage around as it feels soft and fluffy. It really does absorb quickly, but it does not disappear; it leaves a film behind, not greasy, annoying residue though. I'd say I can feel it working on my skin for about half an hour. Then it disappears, leaving skin velvety soft and perfectly moisturized. I'm normally not a fan of moisturizers that leave a film, on the contrary I prefer them to vanish asap. However this lives up to the "cocoon" concept nicely. You can pleasantly feel it there, without it messing with your clothes or sticking to them though.
Furthermore this one really does make skin look smooth and glowy, which is a large plus. Actually this is one of the very few body moisturizers that do make a visible difference to me. I can't really tell if this will improve the appearence of your skin drastically in the long run, however it does give you an instant very healthy and sexy sheen.
Now the scent is fruity, soft and feminine. It smells like fresh peaches or appricots, which I would normally detest, because I tend to find peach scented cosmetics very sharp and plasticky smelling. Not this one though. Kudos to the manufacturers for actually creating a peach scent that's also feminine and soft. Plus, the scent really blends well with my skin chemistry, producing a warm, discreet smell I actually want people to detect on me (which is not to be taken for granted; I've had the exact opposite happen before with Dove cream; while it smells heavenly in the tub it turns rancid on me, to the point that it's unusable. So no, great scent in the bottle doesn't translate to sweet smelling skin).
As you'd expect, this is very reasonably priced. One little gripe I have is the packaging; the lid was already broken when I got it, which I should have noticed so it's my fault, but I guess it means the plastic it's made of is a bit cheap anyway. That's a small thing though since the product is so nice.
All in all, I would definitely recommend this one. Plus, both the scent and consistency of this are perfect for Spring: fresh, not too rich, effective enough for you to show skin proudly. I'm glad I have it.

Garnier Body Cocoon Lotion is targeted towards dry skin, but I don't think it's moisturising enough for dry skin. My skin is normal, a bit on the dry side, so this doesn't work that well for me. Even in the summer I like to feel moisture from lotions (that's just my personal preference though!) The consistency is thin and runny and quite liquid-y really! Not my favourite texture for a lotion to be. Overall, not a very nice product and there are much better lotions that do wonders for keeping it smooth and soft; like The Body Shop Butters (Brazil Nut and Olive are my faves) or hydrating oils; olive and sunflower are my first picks.

Rich and hydrating. Love the smell too. It's an okay lotion. Not that great but it moisturizes and it's not greasy.

Love the Smell!!!! I apply this in the evening and when i slip into bed and i can feel how great my skin feels. The smell and the feeling of smoothness made me happy. However, i notice that if i skip a day of using it my skin goes back to normal. So, this not a longterm solution to fry skin. I hate the pump that comes with it.

Love the light fruity smell of this fast-absorbing body lotion. Not the most nourishing formula for dry skin, but not bad for a quick burst of moisture. Overall a good product for days when you only need light moisturising.

This review is for the lotion in the orange bottle. I liked this at first. Very moisturising and soaks in quicky. It smells good too. I wish I could say I loved it, but I suspect I had an allergic reaction to it and got contact dermatitis on my hands, knee and foot. Man, that was itchy and ugly looking.

ETA: This did cause some contact dermatitis as I haven't had any rash since I threw it out.
