I always use super gentle cleansers and really love Eucerin's Gentle Hydrating Cleanser and Purpose Cleanser. I am just getting over a really atrocious bout of cheek acne and redness is perpetual on my face nowadays. Definitely in that product limbo stage when I keep spending money and buying products because I'm so unhappy with my skin.

That said, this really did nothing for me. It's a bit too thick for my liking in that it doesnt really lather well and your skin doesn't soak it in. The consistency is weird and unhelpful. This product is average. It doesn't do anything for my skin, but it doesn't dry it out either. Didn't break me out, but wasn't fabulous. Won't be repurchasing. Try the other cleansers I mentioned here.

After I’d had success with the Eucerin redness relief night cream, I wanted to try more of the line. I like this and use it as my face wash in the shower during the cooler months. It’s very thick, so I’m not sure that I’d use it to remove makeup at the sink because it would be a pain to rinse off your face without making a mess. I don't notice a big benefit after using this, but I don't notice any additional dryness or breakouts either, which certainly happens with some products and my skin.

My complaints aren't entirely the product's fault. I've never met anyone with skin like mine. If I stand in line behind someone who uses overly scented laundry products, I get a rash. I checked out "The Skin Type Solution" from my library, and got overly excited to learn that other people have skin like mine. I loved the idea of being able to buy products (not just organic, hexane-free coconut oil and shea butter). So, my dissatisfaction is really my fault.

Now, for the product. First off, it contains Sodium Laureth Sulfate. If you are sensitive to this, don't do it. Don't get excited about this product, and buy it against your better judgement like I did. Don't be foolish like me. This cleanser strips my skin bare, and leaves me feeling parched. It burns. And one of the Redness Relief products gives me red bumps and aggravates my rosacea.

If you are at the extreme end of the sensitive spectrum, I'd try to request samples from Eucerin before buying this product.

I'm a little on the fence about this product. I had been using Burt's Bees Radiant Royal Jelly Cleanser for about a year and for some odd reason I got the urge to try something different. I'm not sure why exactly... It was working really well for me. But I do know that the "redness relief" aspect of it appealed to me, as my skin was having redness issues and was a bit dry and irritated from cold winter weather. Eucerin products have always saved my (body) skin when I'd have bouts of severe dryness, or patches of eczema. And Aquaphor (the version for babies) is literally the only moisturizer I can use on my lips without having an allergic reaction. So I figured this cleanser would be pretty amazing. It really did help with redness, which was great! And it removed makeup very well and wasn't drying. My problem with it is that, like others have mentioned, it causes my skin to burn when I use it. It's not like it feels like my face is on fire, but it's enough to be concerning. Sometimes when I put my moisturizer and/or makeup onafter washing it will burn then as well. I haven't suffered any visible irritation from it so that's good, but I have to wonder how good a product is for my skin that makes it burn like that. I would maybe purchase this again, but there are products out there that are much more gentle on my skin and do just as good a job of cleansing.

I have mild rosacea and combo skin with acne along the jaw line and sometimes between my eyebrows. I started using this a week ago when I had an allergic reaction to sunscreen. The allergic reaction went away in a day (usually it takes a week) and most of the redness has gone away where I have my rosacea. It's even started the healing process on some of the acne I had on my chin and jaw. This doesn't irritate my eyes and does take all my make up off. The one thing I did notice with this cleanser is that it reminds me of RX cleansers wear you have to gently wash each area for 20 seconds (or maybe it was 10 seconds). When I do that, rinsing off is easy. I think this may be HG for me, no burning or irritation so far. I will keep using and update in a few months because I really can't believe how much I like this cleanser.

I just used this product for the first time tonight. I am not a dedicated customer to any brand because I get Product ADD.....I like to try new stuff, which probably isn't good for my sensitive, mostly oily, acne prone skin with mild rosecea. I have mild to moderate rosacea on my nose including broken capillaries and general skin redness.

Imagine having a cold and blowing your nose for several days on end. The skin at your nostrils where they meet the face gets really red, right? That is how mine looks most of the time.....

So, I have used it for the first time today. I can say that my skin at least feels less itchy and cooler, with the exception of my eye lids, which nearly always burn due to eczema. My skin looks a little calmer at the moment, which is saying something because it usually freaks out when we get a cold front here in Houston. I have high hopes for this product and hope it is "the one."

I am not used to gel cleansers, so this very thick gel took a little getting used to. Just a small amount covers my face and neck. I find that it's not good at removing makeup (even though the package claims it is), but I generally use it in the a.m., when I have already removed my makeup the night before. It is effective at toning down my redness, which may be the early signs of rosacea. After a few days, I realized my skin tone looked paler and more even -- because some of the "color" in my face was actually just red, irritated cheeks. I'll continue to use this to keep my redness in check.

Best cleanser I ever tried! Love that it's unscented, love the texture. It doesnt dries my skin out at all but it still makes me feel really clean without the skin feeling tight. Doesnt seem irritating at all. Also, you only need a tiny little bit to cover your face and throat so this large tube will last forever! Will buy again and again.

This cleanser had the strangest texture, reminded me of Jello for some reason. It took forever to rinse it off, my face felt slimey! Once I thought I had removed it all, I towel dried my face to find there was a nasty film that had to be washed off by another cleanser. Yuck!

This stuff is the bomb. I have such sensitive skin and I have tried everything from A to Z. I have mild rosacea and this stuff keeps my redness at bay. People don't understand that this stuff only prevents redness, not eliminating redness. You will get the results you want. This stuff is the only stuff that works for the long run. My face has never looked so even, clear, balanced oil out, and redness has disappeared. I also use the Redness Relief Night creme and Daily perfecting spf15 lotion. This line is a God send for my skin. I will never use another face wash again. These are products I will trust. I just pray they never change the formula because they have it right on tract. I also love that it has Castor oil in it, that is really beneficial for the skin, and helps clean my face really good. <3

When I discovered this product I thought I’d found the perfect cleanser. I have a sensitive skin and the area around my nose and cheeks can become very red and patchy if I’m using the wrong product. It does quite a good job removing make-up but that's not what I was looking for since I'm not so often wearing foundation. The name on the tube is promising a soothing and redness relief effect, but I don't notice any of that when I use it. After washing my face with this product I need some heavy moisturizer to, guess what, soothe the redness. By the way, how can they claim that the cleanser is non-irritating while it mainly contains cheap chemicals?

My skin has always been a bit red and splotchy, nothing too serious. But I just wanted to see if I could reduce that redness for summer. So about a month before summer started, I decided to try out this cleanser. And sadly, it didn't work for me. Instead of relieving my redness, it made my face even more red. It didn't break me out though, just made my face red.

Sadly, I won't be buying this product again. I stopped using it after two weeks, and my redness started to go away.

It felt amazing on the skin, but it didn't make my skin look amazing.

Thanks for reading! Hope I helped!

Sadly this did nothing for me. I have mild rosacea and used this in conjunction with the Redness Relief lotion. I think it does a fine job of cleansing my face but I cannot say I see any improvement of my redness. Had high hopes. Will finish the tube but will not repurchase.

I like this cleanser a lot, especially in the winter. It soothes my irritable skin and leaves it clean but never tight. I think it actually keeps me from breaking out. A tube lasts forever, I think I had one for about a year with twice daily use. Good stuff.

I have rosacea, dry skin and acne so I am always on the lookout for products that will reduce my redness and acne while not drying me out. I think this product is pretty great. I would say that it doesn't really take the redness away, but it doesn't irritate or cause it like most other cleansers.

I take a generous dollop of this and massage it on my face every night for a couple of minutes. It seems to do a good job of taking off all the layers of my foundation, powder and primer (I use Revlon Colorstay which is pretty hard to take off) but you really have to massage it in for a while. Usually, I hate rubbing my face with cleanser because it cases my face to turn bright red, but this stuff doesn't do that! It has a really funny texture, and it is very runny when you first get it out of the bottle so I have to be careful getting it out. On my face it feels kind of slimy/slippery and not foamy at all.

I haven't found a nighttime moisturizer that works well with my skin, so I don't apply one after I wash my face. It's a little tight, but not unbearable and it goes away after 15 mins or so.

PROS:
-Doesn't cause redness
-Doesn't dry skin out
-Removes makeup
-Helps decrease acne
-Smooths rough/bumpy rosacea skin

CONS:
-Doesn't "heal" or take redness away
-Runny formula, hard to control how much comes out of the tube

Overall: I would buy this again and I highly recommend this to product!

This has become one of my favorite cleansers. I will say that this doesn't remove makeup well at all. But I use wipes or albolene to take my makeup off anyways. I started using this at the end of the summer when I had to wash my face several times a day because of sports. It didn't strip my skin. I almost always use it with the scrublet from loreal 360. It helps me get a super deep clean without making my skin flaky. I don't have super dry skin but I do have sensitive skin. I never experience burning or irritation from this cleanser. I do have acne and have not broken out from this product- if anything it is significantly better than acne cleansers for my skin. Its a pretty thick cleanser so I'm not sure if this will be great for the dead center for summer. I will definitely purchase again after I run out.

I have been using this product in conjunction with the redness relief night cream from the same line and it has worked wonders for my very red skin. Ever since I used Dessert Essence Teal Tree Oil face wash TWO years ago it has been an endless cycle of terrible cystic acne and redness. Unfortunately that one bad product left my skin damaged and really sensitive--this Eucerin redness relief line is the only thing that has truly helped in the redness department. I am going on the second month of using this product and it continues to relieve my tired skin. For the record, if anyone reads this, I have sensitive, acne-prone, oily skin, although my cheeks are a bit drier than the rest. I do not have rosacea--the redness I get comes from (I think) the benzoyl peroxide I use to treat my acne.

This cleanser feels nice and makes my skin soft but overall I won't be buying this again. The smell is medicinal, it doesn't remove makeup at all, it should be packaged in a pump, and it does not alleviate redness.

My skin is oily, sensitive, and acne/rosacea prone.
Foaming cleansers are too drying most of the time and cream cleansers don't cleanse good enough.
This cleanser comes in a non-foaming gel formula, which is not too drying. The gel is difficult to rinse off, so I like to use this in the shower the most. Sometimes it is a bit tingling, so I think that when your face is very very sensitive this is not for you. The ingredientlist is not the safest (there is SLES and paraben in it), but overall an okay cleanser.

Update 8-22-2010
My skin is too sensitive for this cleanser, my rosacea got worse and my skin started to burn and itch. Unbelievable that they made this product for sensitive rosacea skin, it made my condition worse!
