On my slightly pigmented lips, Galactica shows up as a clear, sometimes pearly shimmer. I usually just put it over lipstick for some sheen. This color is a part of my lip lacquer palette. It's nice, but I don't think it is something worth buying the entire pot of for.

Galactica is a shimmery pearl white colour with flecks of glitter throughout. I actually bought this to complement the Chelsea Girls lip lacquer by Nars, as it has no shimmer whatsoever and looked a bit bland on my lips. But with Galactica on top - very nice.

I find that I wear Galactica more on top of lipsticks and glosses (rather than on it's own), as it adds something special to them & a totally different dimension. On it's own, it doesn't look too great on me. But if you like Nars lip lacquers, you should definitely have this one in your collection. Or otherwise if you're looking for one colour to get - I recommend this one, because it goes beautifully on top of lipsticks and glosses.

I ordered this from Space NK. I had wanted it for ages. When I tried it out for the first time I was a little disappointed as the sparkles didn't really show. I am coming round to this now. It gives a pretty pearlescent finish rather than an obvious sparkle which is not a bad thing. It is very expensive for what it is though. I was quite surprised by the texture. It's hard in the pot and for some reason I thought it might be a bit more gloopy and gloss-like, but that's not really a problem. I do kind of like this so I said I would repurchase, but because of the high price I'm not entirely convinced.

I was disappointed by Galactica. I prefer Nars Triple X & Revolt glosses to Galactica. Galactica does have a plastic taste & smell & didn't look that spectacular on me. I thought it would be more dramatic. I will exchange this color.

My opinion of Galactica has changed over time too. Other lacquers topped this one for awhile, but I've found that I reach for Galactica more consistently. Adds a nice glow to lips, and gives duller lacquers (like Butterfield 8) life. But why bother with layering? This is great alone. The shimmer is classy and the texture is perfect. Leaves a nice shimmer when it wears off.

Though similar colors everywhere (as with Adam & Eve e/s), this one tops them.

This has taken over as my favorite NARS Lacquer. It bumped Chelsea Girls off the top of the list. Galactica is a beautiful shimmery pearl shade. It has such a great sheen! I have pigmented lips and I love frosty light shades on them from time to time. When I want that look I always go for Galactica. I love the gel-like texture too. It is so much different than the other lacquers with their sticky textures. I have went through about 3 pots of this so far. Will rebuy!

Perfect color on me!! Love the texture. Not sticky at all. I am pale skinned, dark brunette. Also looks great on top of NARS Gipsy lipstick.

I love this laquer. Just bought it in a pot and have it in the lip laquer palette and in an artists palette. Feels great on and makes my bare lips look beautiful. This laquer contains crushed pearls and is very difficult to find in stock in a retail store. It is easily one of the prettiest glosses I have ever tried. Great over any lip product or alone. You can make it very sheer or pack it on. Complete winner! A must have for gloss wearers.

Yet another NARS Lip Lacquer that I adore. Galactica is a shimmery white gloss with glitter. It goes on sheer and has a smooth texture. This is a nice alternative to boring clear gloss. I have backups of this gloss already.

I'm a big NARS junkie so when someone described this on the boards as giving her lips an "ethereal glow," I had to check it out. There's truth in advertising! This thick, unsticky lipgloss gave my lips a pearly glaze with sparkle. Worn alone, it sheers out my naturally pink lips a little, and it kicks matte and satin lipsticks up to a higher level.
Spendy at $22 but well worth it, like most NARS products.

I think I'm the only person who wasn't impressed at all with this product! I found the texture annoying - way too thick to wear comfortably over anything else. It it okay alone, but when wearing it over another lipstick, makes it goopy and runs outside the lipline. It's fun to apply sparingly over eyeshadow at night every now and then for a wet, glittery effect. But overall, I wish I would've saved my money.

I was pleasantly surprised by this. Never would have tried it on if the SA hadn't put it on me. Unlike the other lip laquers that I have, it's not something that I would wear by itself. However, with a lipstick underneath it leaves a beautiful pearlized, glowy finish. Definitely not sparkly or glittery. I don't find myself reaching for it often but I think that's just because of the pot packaging--I get lazy with pots and prefer wands. Will rebuy when this runs out despite the slightly steep price.

I wondered if this was worth the price as I always highlight the center of my mouth and have been able to do so with cheaper products than this. But, this is the best highlighter for lips I have ever used. Not too platinum nor too sparkly... just right. It blends well with all colours I have tried and makes your lips look plumper naturally, not like you have an icy shade painted on the center of your lips.

I can understand how some people feel "ripped off" by this lacquer, but I love it. Sure, you can find cheaper substitutes... but I love the texture of the NARS lacquers. These last quite a bit, but the pot can get kind of "messy." I apply these with a lip brush, because I can *not* use my finger, or it'll get gross and I will have tons under my nails! I really like the way Galactica looks...It looks kind of "ew" in the pot, but when you actually put it on, it gives your lips a very nice sparkly/pearly effect that I just love :-D

I'm usually not one for glittery lipglosses...but I do like Galactica!! The glitter is micro sized...looks very trendy, yet classy!! I use this gloss alone since my lips are highly pigmented naturally, or I put a dab on virtually every color I own to add a little sparkle!! The packaging is the worst part of Nars Lip Lacquers...you waste so much product and half of it gets stuck under my nails...that's why I gave 3 lipsticks!

Just bought my second container of this stuff. I like the soft, pearly shimmery effect, particularly when I pile it on a bit generously over lipliner. True, you could probably find a cheaper version of this somewhere, but I really dig the texture and packaging.

I don't know how I lived without this stuff before?!? It makes everything sparkle! I love wearing it on its own for a simple look as well. It's $20, but it's worth every penny

Very nice look on! Not the lacquered look but more a dewy shimmery look that would be nice day or not. Applies easier. No wierd smells here!
