I love this serum as well as the matching night cream for face and eyes. I was told that this serum is specifically made to use under the night cream to act as a toner under the cream to activate the rice power extract. So, after washing your face instead of using a toner- you use this product and then follow up with the cream... they are designed to go together. Also, this product is now being sold in US under the name Cell Radiance. Its the exact same product, just different marketing for the US. I have religiously used this for about a year and my skin is soooo much softer and clearer. Even if I consume too much alcohol and party too hard, I don't wake up with yucky dry skin. :) This was given out as a gift at the Oscars gift lounge last year and that's how I got it. Love! So glad its available in the states now and you don't have to order it from Japan.
Edit to say: This is NOT designed as a moisturizer to use alone. Its meant in replace of toner under your moisturizer. You are supposed to follow up with rice power cream to activate the "rice power".

I have been using this product for abt 2 years. although pricey but it Hydrates my skin very well! Absorbs vey quickly too.

Love it!! It has a very watery texture and the smell is good. The packaging is good, the pump gets to the very last drop of this product.
It's cheaper than the Cosme Decorte Lipsome but works just as well. I use this product 6 months outta the year and the Cosme Decorte Lipsome for the other 6 months. It really helps my dry skin, absorbs quickly giving your skin a soft supple feeling. Would definitely continue to use this product unless I find something that suits me even better.

in winter time, my skin usually feels very flaky & dry on some parts. this product really works under your moisturizer, it helps to soothe & absorbs very fast under your skin. It suits sensitive type of skin & you can feel the softness afteryou're using it. It is perfect for any season, it's just depend on what skin condition you have. In the summer, I will only use this with lotion followed.
basically it retains the moisture inside your skin, oh that's how i feel all the time.
it's pricey, but it's worth of your money.

I love this product.I used to have very dry skin and after using this, my skin has recovered from dryness and the texture is softer now. Very good. Highly recommended.

I am saving money to buy this essense! SA told me it is very similar to SKII essense (the best seller of SKII), but half the price. But still pricey.
The smell is great, and it really works on my face. Hydrate my skin whole day and because of this, less produce oil, ultimately less clogged pores and acne!

I use this after I put on SK-II Facial Treatment Essence and before I put on the moisturizer. I have an oily-combination-sensitive skin and this product has not irritated my skin at all. It has helped with my skin oiliness and I can feel it gives my skin a good texture and hydrates it from within.

UPDATE 16/6/2009: It saved my skin from dry humidity in Vegas by keeping it moisturized and supple. It's a perfect addition to my SKII regime.

i love tis to bits ... instantly give my skin the 'bouncy' feel ... and feels so good ... use this right after mask white and its just amazing ...

i cant do without this at night ..its my life saviour... though i've really oily skin, this leaves my face matte and retain the right level of moisture ... (coz i was told if skin is too oily, it could be your skin is lacking moisture hence the excess sebum being produced to 'protect' your skin)

this is really a star product as the kose website claims

Very nice, it actually feels like it is putting some good back into the skin. Slightly sticky texture but absorbs well. Using it has made me realise that products containing high alcohol content can be cosmetically elegant. This is a well formulated product and does not cause any irritation for me even in between Differin treatments. I do think it can be a little rich so I never use it more than a few days and I always ensure to exfoliate before application. It is good value as well, for 100ml it costs under $100NZD and lasts a very long time.

It's been about a year since I started using this product and it's a true skin-saver.

Prior to using this, my skin was in pretty bad shape; it was parched, dry, red, scaley, itchy, inflamed-- a real nightmare. I prayed that my skin would return to a normal state. To my relief, I found FANCL, a Japanese Skin Care Line that specialized in skincare for truly sensitive skin. It was wonderfully soothing to my skin. My facial skin slowy started to regain strength. But it still felt dehydrated and was scaley at times, not to mention red. So I went online and found KOSE Moisture Repair w. Rice Power.

KMR instantly quenched my skin with much needed moisture. After just a couple applications, I felt a balance in my face that I haven't felt since childhood, honestly. It was a miracle product. No more scales. No more tightness. No more flakes. No more roughness. Reduced redness. Softer skin. What more could I ask for?

Out of ALL the topicals I have used, none have given me such benefits. This is what my skin has asked for all it's life. A godsend for those with truly unruly skin. I recommended it highly.

Skin type= asian, sensitive, prone to breakout on some occasions, some old scars. I got this a gift for purchasing (alot) Kose sekkisei line. Well... I really it. Firstly, it didn't aggravate my sensitive skin.

I like the pump and it doesn't spill easily (most of Kose packaging's good like that).

It hydrates and plumps my skin well. My skin feels soft, matte and smooth. It's the rice extract, I think.


All I can say is, this is a gotta try product. Go ahead, try it.

I bought this because I felt my moisturiser wasn't doing a good enough job (yet I didn't want to toss it away and get a new moisturiser). This is a lotion to be applied right after washing your face, before toner.

I would say that if you live in a humid country and do not have dehydrated skin, you wouldn't really need this, but it is good to have nonetheless, for those flakey skin days, or if you're exposed to air-conditioning for long periods of time.

I brought this with me to Spain in May (where it was dry and hot), and it was a life-saver. Everyone else was complaining about dryness, tightness and flakiness, but I didn't have any of these problems. I was passing this product all around! (I also used Laneige's water sleeping pack at night).

I will always bring a bottle of it if I'm going anywhere with dry air...

I bought the travel-sized version and saw results after using in about 2 weeks. So I got the 100ml version. I think it works much better for those with dry skins than those oily ones although it's supposed to be for all skin types. I like the texture as it's exactly like rice water and not greasy at all. It's also gentle enough to be applied around the eye area. It's supposed to prep the skin for better absorbtion of other products after using this and I do feel that it does improve my skin's condition. Guess I'll repurchase this item.

My HG....can't do without it...my face was so dehydrated previously when I was using all the wrong pdts...2 days of usage of this and my skin condition improved so much! It's so light and watery in texture till it's so friendly to my combi/oily and acne prone skin. Can even use it on the eyes too. Lovely product in conclusion.

Got a 15ml deluxe sample with my purchase of the moisture skin repair cream. 50ml is NT$1,500(US$45.46) at Taiwan. The BA told me to use this right after cleansing. Texture is very watery, and a little goes a LONG LONG way. Nothing special except my face was a bit smoother? Kind of disappointed.

Two thumbs up for this product! I've used it as a night cream and this comes in set of 2 - Liquid and Cream form.
I've applied liquid and after the cream. The liquid was absorbed into the skin fast and the cream was rich and a little goes a long way, not too oily or dry.
When i woke up in the morning, my face felt radiance and well hydrated!
Definitely will buy this again!

we asians know how to work rice! this stuff is fabulous on normal to dry skin... and it will really improve the moisture level of your skin like no other!!!! i came down with like the worst flu and my body was so freaking dehydrated from the sickness.. but guess what!?! my face still glowed like i got enough sleep with this magic liquid!!!!!! if you got dry skin i would recommend the cream in this skin line.

For me, it didn't work at all. I have very dry skin, and this serum did not do anything to relieve it. I tried it on my hands (which is dry too), and no effects at all! My hands and face are still dry till now! I think this serum is like SKII's miracle lotion, which did not do a single thing for me!
