For starters, I wouldn't recommend this product to anybody with sensitive skin, and from my personal experiences, I would only put on this mask once every week or two.
The smell is unpleasent, and it's somewhat difficult to apply on and peel off, and it stings like hell, but it works well. My skin was considerbly softer, tighter and glowing after using the mask the first time. Despite it being expensive for my budget, I would buy it again.

it made my skin noticeably smoother, softer, and brighter. i actually got complements on my skin after using this! it also helped to fade red marks left behind by old breakouts. i did think it was a bit tricky to apply and remove though.

I don't think this mask is hard to put on. You just need to use the spatula and put a even layer...therefore it dries uniformly. And you only need a thin layer or it won't dry, therefore it will be difficult to take off. I agree that it does sting at first, but it's not too bad. I try to use it twice a week. I haven't noticed any improvements yet, but I have only used it 3 times. Keep you posted.

Well I have been using this product for about a week. I feel that it does the job it intends to do. I have very oily skin as well; my skin has a very ruddy looking texture. My skin is definatly much more smooth. I read the below reviews and feel they are alittle bias. When you have acne prone skin you do not want to put somethin so harsh on those spots while they are inflammed becasue it will cause more irrtation (try a sulfur mask instead DDF has one). As for the harsh peel part......it is a re-texturizing peel. It speaks for it self. If you went to a spa you would get a MORE EXPENSIVE treatment with harsher peel and sting. I dont think its fair to call a retexturizing peel a bad product becasue its hard to peel off and is sticky.Plus results really can been clearly seen unless used exactly to directions. That is part of how it works. People should do more research before buying. Hence this website. I love'd the product, in comparison to a spa treatment they are very similar. I would bu it again.

This is a so-so mask. It makes my skin feel smooth afterwards but other than that, it doesn't really do something. Doesn't handle blackheads and whiteheads, but I think it helps a little towards active acne. It tames down the inflammatory a bit. What I do to spread it evenly is to dip the spatula to the jar -not very hygienic- but I'm too lazy to use my fingers, too goopy. Won't repurchase, I believe there are other masks that is better, with less money

Hurts! Irritating and does nothing! It's like putting white glue on your face and peeling it off! Sucks!!

Application is rather tricky as the consistency is sticky. I used the tip of my fingers to spread it on, but it's not very even. On contact with skin, I felt a cooling & somewhat stinging feeling on my acne inflammed areas.
It dries evenly, which is good considering the product wasn't even when I applied it on. Dried to a constricting taut, making my face looked funny & my lips stretched quite awkwardly. It is THAT tight!
Hard to peel off on areas with bits of hair..but I enjoyed seeing the imprints of my skin cells on the dried-up mask when i peel it off. Can detect some blackheads stuck to it as well. My face became smooth, and the inflammed areas was tamed down a little. It didnt completely kill off blemishes but somewhat helps. This is my first try, gonna see if any new blemishes surface tomorrow morning. Im weary if it purges all out. Then im left with too much crap to deal with.

I recieved a sample of this in a swap. It's a clear lavender colored gel-like substance with a slight but not offensive smell. Once I applied it, it stung slightly (as noted on the packaging) but it was really difficult to spread evenly over my skin, due to the honey/rubber-cement like texture. After giving it some time to dry, there was another problem - getting the mask off. I couldn't really "peel" it off; I had to rub my skin to get the mask to curd so I could remove the layer that was on my skin. It also got stuck into my baby hairs around my hairline which took extra time to remove. This morning, I discovered a whitehead pimple on my cheek as well as a cystic pimple on my chin, both of which I believe are the result of having experimented with this mask. I threw away the rest of the sample packet and I would not purchase this item with my own money.

if your skin is even the slightest bit sensitive, please do not use this mask. It helped to lighten a new acne scar, but as for the rest of my face, i wish i had never tried it. First, it was too hard to put on evenly. Second, it was waaaaay too hard to peel off! i thought my skin was going to come off with it! it did lighten my new acne scar, and left my skin feeling smooth for that night. But when i woke up in the morning parts of my face were bumpy, and i had about 5 fresh new pimples. and these weren't just little red dots, they were HUGE(well compared to the size of the pimples i normally get). I used it a week ago and my skin is FINALLY startin to calm down. The last time my skin reacted this bad was when i used a mud mask for the first time.

This mask looks like clear honey and comes in a jar. Just like honey, it's fiendishly difficult and rather messy to extract with your fingers, and seems to get everywhere. I don't feel it does much for my skin apart from dry it out and maybe smooth it a little. But it's undeniably fun to peel off and disgustingly entertaining to examine the imprint of pores and tiny lines on the wispy sheets produced, like cast snake skins. Perhaps more for combatting boredom than taking care of your skin.

I really liked this. Yes, it is messy and the packaging could be better, but I really liked the results I got- my skin looked fresh and tighter. I only use once or twice a week.
EDIT: discovered this was breaking me out.

I have used a Freeman peeling mask for years. I do not love masks in general. I always thought Freeman did doubleduty getting rid of peach fuzz on my face, along with some extra oil and dead skin cells. Well, this mask, is even thicker, stickier, and has a stronger scent that I can feel in my eyes when I apply to my cheeks. I recommend flexing your facial muscles first to make this easier to remove. And because it grabs your face fuzz, it hurts quite a bit to remove. It does what I need it to do, but is not pleasant to apply, or remove. Hence a 3.

Got a sample from a The Body Shop party. Ouch Ouch Ouch! This really hurts when peeling it off. Eventually had to use a wet wash cloth to get the rest off. Very gooey, hard to put on. I didnt notice anything great about my skin after fighting to get if off, except my face was red and blochy.

It's a VERY gooey pink peel-off gel mask. You can see the pattern of the skin's surface on the gel after it peels, so I guess it does what it's supposed to do. It was too strong for my senstive skin but my friend had no problem and loved the results. It's probably a good one for mature skin if you're not too sensitive. I agree with the suggestion that a tube would be a much better package.

Got talked into buying this mask by a staff person who said it was amazing. Well, after using it 4 times now I can say I certainly don't consider it amazing. It's an average peel-off mask with the following problems:
1. Expensive ($28 Cdn) and not much product for the price.
2. Bad container--a short, squat jar that if you tip even slightly, the product oozes out over the sides. I've spilled it each time I've used it, and it's a mess to clean up. Plus it's hard to get the right amount of product since you have to stick your finger or a spatula into the clear goop and scoop it out. A squeeze tube would have been a MUCH better design.
3. Rather heavy scent, although it doesn't seem to irritate my skin.
4. Somewhat difficult to apply since the product is very thick and sticky.
5. Can hurt while peeling off, even if you follow the directions.
I did notice my pores looked slightly smaller after using this, which is much the same with any mask. I will use it up but would not re-purchase as I've had similar results with much cheaper products.
