I love brassy!!! I don't use this as an eyeliner since it doesn't show up on me that well and I'm not a fan of MAC eyeliners in general. So I use this as a shadow! One of the reasons why I love it so much is that it doubles as a base and shadow. I also put this on my waterline so it gives me a brightening eye effect. I found this at a CCO and I'm considering buying more backups since it is discontinued and the color is nothing like I have seen in other brands/shadows. Five lippies for this gold!

I have purchased this product multiple times although I am not sure whether it is currently available to buy. It was one of the first fluidlines I ever bought when the SA talked me into using it as an eyeshadow - I did and it looked great with my brown eyes. I have worn it as a shadow ever since. It goes on great and looks perfect until you decide to take it off. I pair it with purples or browns and never get bored with the look. Since then of course I have purchased many fluidlines that I use as liners as well as shadows - all are great. Highly recommend them.

I love this liner on the lower inner rim of my eyes. I love the color payoff. I usually just swap for these but brassy I bought in the store playing aroun w it. I love all of them basically

I don't use this that often, since I usually stick to dark eyeliners, but I use it for the inner corners of my eyes to brighten up my eyes and it's really pigmented and golden. If you are looking for a golden eyeliner, this fits the bill perfectly.

Brassy is a fairly light fluidline and i've only ever used it as a liner once. It didn't work too well for me and i felt i'd have to put it up for swap. I'm not much of a gold fan but i am a mac addict, so i tried to work with it. As a base, its fantastic and works really well with browns and greens :)

Beautiful pure gold, reminds me of one of my gold paints. Very nice texture. A great advantage is that this product can be used as a fluid line and a shadow. Looks fantastic in this season's gold-make up trend!

I really hated this stuff. It was really dry and applied terribly. It was too sheer & just didn't do anything for me. I never used it, it sat in my collection for about 2 years. I tried using it after all that time & it was DRY as a bone. Completely crappy & dried up. I scraped all of the product out & used it as a B2M empty :)

This is not my favorite fluidline. I'm not big on using it as a liner but I have done it. It applies a little spottily and a little too sheer and light to be an effective liner. The color is really pretty though and makes a great base shade with Star Violet, Sumptuous Olive, or really any warm, rich shadow in the crease. Good staying power snd pretty for some purposes.

Ok so this is not a bad eyeliner. It possesses the same great qualities as do the other MAC fluidlines. Long-lasting, great consistency, easy application, etc...However, after recently purchasing this I was so disappointed to discover this completely vanished on my eyes. I have dark, almost black eyes, and this refused to show up on me. The color is stunning and would probably best serve blue, hazel, or green eyes. Unfortunately for me this disappeared so it is going back to the store for something else.

Prefer NYX 'Gold' Jumbo Eye Pencil as an e/l. Brassy works better a e/s base than liner. Thin watered-down texture. Also prefer a deeper gold(amber or antique) than a yellow-gold. Since already own MAC gold Paint, returned Brassy to Nordstrom. (DDD NW45)

I have been eyeing Brassy for quite a while, and I finally got the chance yesterday to pick it up.
I'm not sure what to do with it yet, but I'm planning on using it as an eyeshadow, because I think it might work best that way. It reminds me of another eyeliner that MAC used to have, and it is Hand Forged, although Hand Forged is a bit more yellow and Brassy is well, a little more brassy!
I know that I'll definitely enjoy this eyeliner, regardless of what I use it for.

Brassy is one of the lighter fluidlines that really works better as a eyeshadow than an eyeliner. But that is fine as it is a great colour. Looks really good with Graphic Brown, Waveline (Navy blue) or New Weed (dark olivey green) fluidlines. Is perhaps slightly more antique gold/coppery than the photo shows.

I love brassy as a liner and works fab as a base as well. A truly bang for the buck product! Such a nice, subtle goldish colour... I would buy again if I ever ran out. As with other fluidlines... it wears like iron and goes on smooth and foolproof!

although rich ground is my favorite fluidline, brassy is a close second -- a warm gold with shimmer. i like to pair this with a wash of neutral, matte eyeshadow and black eyeliner. the color works well with my brown eyes, and the staying power is excellent as well.

I swapped for this, having already bought Stila's Copper Shimmer Smudge pot. I'm so glad I did, because this is MUCH more what I was looking for!
The texture is lovely and soft, much easier to apply than the smudge pot. The colour is a bright, very metallic antique-gold which can be quite sheer or built up. It's stayed on for an entire day's shopping in Manchester so I'm impressed with the staying power too. Plus, it is stunning with blue-green eyeshadows. I haven't tried it as an eyeshadow but having read the reveiws I'll give that a bash shortly.
In contrast, the smudge pot gives a strong line with one stroke, is quite hard to push your brush into, and the colour is a deep brown-bronze. You would need quite a broad line to notice any of the shimmer at all, although it is in there. It's more like a brown liner with a little added interest. If you're after something shiner and more suited to the party season, get Brassy.
Last thing - I put "Yes" to would you buy this again, but I doubt I'd ever need to as there is PLENTY in the pot.

I just purchased Brassy at my CCO and I love it so far! It really showed up well when I used an angled flat eyeliner brush. I paired it with my new Steel Blue pigment and it just looks so gorgeous! It really brings out the gold tones in Steel Blue. I am definitely glad that I took a chance on the unusual color. I think it will look amazing paired with the right blues and greens.

Metallic shimmery warm gold. Not as brown-toned as the MAC website swatch might suggest. Color goes on true to the color in the pot but a bit sheerer than I expected; color can be built up though. Can be used as eyeshadow too. Stays put. Smooth, moist feel. Nice sturdy packaging. Not sure I will use this shade much and thus would not repurchase, though I might try other shades. Five lippies for product quality, minus one for the color not being one I'd reach for often.
UPDATE: From 4 lippies to 5. Fluidlines aren't just for lining! As cream eyeshadow or base they cannot be beat - the staying power is incredible.

Such a gorgeous color. I recently tried this fluidline (its a metallicy bronze) as a wash all over my lid, then I put amber lights over it, Soba in the crease and vanilla in the browbone. I also used Blacktrack fluid line as a liner on my top lid and it was stunning! Such a soft pretty day look! I haven't used it as an actually liner (I have been using it as a base for my shadows) but I imagine it will be just as pretty.
UPDATE: This color is EXACTLY like Lancome's Colour dose base in Bronze Canyon! I believe that the Lancome bases were limited so if you liked Bronze Canyon, this is a perfect replacement
