I bought this together with the WIld Rose night cream. While I like the night cream, this cream is nothing like its after dark twin - it has so much alcohol in it that my skin feels drier and flakier after using it.

Even in Springtime in Hong Kong (where the humidity is somewhere between 75-95%), I need to apply, re-apply and re-re-apply it throughout the day just to keep my skin from feeling stretchy tight. If I have flakes on my cheeks, this cream does nothing to soothe it nor does it make the flakes less visible (let alone making them disappear).

I can probably use it during the hot summer days in Hong Kong, where the temperature can surge up to 35 degree celsius. On drier or colder days, however, I would use the night cream (as a day cream) (you may see my review on the night cream).

The good things about it:
(a) nice rose smell
(b) it absorbs very quickly and you can apply makeup as soon as you finish applying it on your face
(c) it is reasonably priced.

This was given to me as a gift, however the pricing was still on (lol) and it was quite expensive given the quality. I found the consistency very watery and the product didn't give my dry skin enough coverage. It may be suitable for younger, normal skin. I won't use this product again.

I got this cream in a beautybox a couple of weeks ago. First thing that I noticed was the strong smell of this product, which is really too strong for my liking. I also found out that it makes my face look too shiny when I use foundation after this, so I only put this cream on when I don't plan on using any foundation that day.

Despite those two cons, I must say that it does hydrate my skin and it didn't break me out (instead, small blemishes have disappeared), which is a huge plus. Unfortunately, this is not the moisturizer for me so after I've used this up, I won't repurchase.

I got this as a bonus from a kit, and I have to say the fragrance is way too strong for a facial moisturizer. I do like the non-greasy texture and how it doesn't break me out (I have combination, acne-prone skin), but I have a hard time dealing with the headache from the strong rose-scent at night. This also isn't too cheap so I'll try more drugstore moisturizers to find my HG.

This product worked perfectly for my skin type. It imparted moisture to dry parts without causing breakouts on oilier parts. It also didn't leave a greasy feeling like many moisturizing cremes tend to. It is, however, rather expensive when compared to other products. I purchased it *on clearance* for 13.50! Thankfully, one tube generally lasts me for months.

I've been using the new 'smoothing facial lotion' version of this for 'normal and combination skin'. The first time I put it on, my skin felt suffocated for some reason-almost like I need to put another moisturizer on top. But that said, my skin started to look smoother and brighter within a couple of days and there was a very noticable reduction in the faint lines on my forehead. I actually quite like the smell of this lotion-its strong herbal. I bought it for 12.50 GBP which I consider neither cheap nor expensive for this 30 ml tube. The only down falls are the bits of peeling I get when I wear concealer and foundation on top-this moisturizer doesn't make a particularly good under make-up base, and the fact that my spots, that I've had since before using this, still haven't disappeared. But overall, the best Weleda range product for my skin.

I've been using this every morning for about a month. While it is not a miracle product, it does a nice job moisturizing. I have pretty normal skin, sometimes a little dry in the winter, and this lotion is a nice base for my foundation. The smell is what drives me crazy. To me - it almost smells rotten. I have noticed that my face is getting shinier from this lotion during mid day (problems I didn't have with any other moisturizers) and I found myself needing to apply MUFE loose powder more and more to keep the oiliness at bay.

I'll finish the tube because it is a nice moisturizer, but I've tried better. I do appreciate the all natural aspect, but as a total package this lotion doesn't impress me. Maybe as a night cream or as a moisturizer for a day where I'm not planning on wearing foundation...

LOVE.

My Face: sensitive/dry/oily/small bumps/mild hormonal pimples. I do not have the greatest skin as you can tell. I've been using this for awhile and my skin has done a 360. The texture of my skin has changed so much. It is now hydrated, smooth, has a glow & is supple.

Ive been using Panoxyl (10% ben. perioxide facial wash) and it has completely dried out all my pimples and my skin (which i wanted), so I needed an moisturizer. This was it. Amazing. The texture of the cream feel like a lotion, but nonetheless when you rub it in, its mosdef a cream. Its not thick, but it adds so much moisture without the greasiness. Just does the job, especially since i use an intense face wash. I use this on my face every other night, or sometimes in the morning, or just when my skin needs it. I have not broken out from this product, which means a lot since I break out to a lot of products.

Overall a great product, semi organic, and has made a huge difference on my skin.

I really love this moisture cream. I use it after the Wild Rose Cleansing Lotion and Facial Toner--there is a day cream and a night cream.
My skin is glowing with these products.

Got this as a gift twice; otherwise I wouldn't have bought it myself.
I noticed no improvement on my skin after using this. With a lot of flying, I needed something to pamper it, but this did not do it. On the contrary it felt a bit irritating, for some reason.
Also seemed oily. I ended up using it as hand cream, body cream etc.
The package allows for squeezing out the product to the last drop. Also there seems to be quite a lot of product so it would last a long time.
Smell is ok.

Read the back of the box very carefully as the packaging is almost identical for the dry skin version and the normal/oily skin version of this cream - only very small print on the back will say which is which.
I used the normal/oily skin version. A nice light rose scented cream. I use moisturiser very sparingly so have had no problems with greasyness however I think this would be too heavy for really oily skin - probably better for those nearer the normal end of the spectrum. My skin just seems nice and healthy after using this but no miracles or magic glow effect.

Decent natural moisturizer for normal to oily skin. I didn't like how it feels a bit greasy and sits on my face for a while before sinking in. Also didn't really see any benefits like I do with some other moisturizers. Comes in a very nice metal tube that keeps the product clean and fresh, though! UPDATE 04/29/09: Super oily, never sinks in. I used the rest up as a hand creme. Deluxe in that capacity!

Top-notch Moisturizer. I would buy this again with a resounding YES! This is my favorite moisturizing product. It is a light and easily absorbed day and night cream for normal to oily skin. I suffered from acne until I got it under control naturally (and diligently!) and this stuff is a godsend. I use a pea-sized amount of this, rub my palms together warm it up, and roll-press it on. I use it all the way down to my decollete. Makes an excellent base for makeup (and I LOVE putting something healthy on my skin before adding foundation).

Ingredients: Water, alcohol, Jojoba seed oil, peach kernel oil, glycerin, rosa moschata seed oil, glyceryl oleate, carnauba wax, beeswax (cera flava), magnesium aluminum silicate, sedum purpureum extract, fragrance*, rosa damascena flower wax, horsetail extract, commiphora myrrha extract, xanthum gum, glyceryl stearate SE, sodium beeswax, chrondus crispus (carrageenan), limonene*, linalool*, citronellol*, geraniol*, citral*, eugenol*, farnesol*.
*from natural essential oils.

Free of synthetic fragrances, colors, preservatives, and petrochemicals.

The bonus is that this stuff is made with organic jojoba oil and rosehip oil (so no pesticide residuals) and most of Weleda's line is biodynamic, which means the plants' own enzymes and nutrients are maximally used in its production. Metaphorically speaking, it's like using an ingredient such as freshly-picked home-grown organic basil and making the product fresh including the enzymes versus using dried basil that has been stored and shipped around and has lost its aromatic and enzymatic potential. This biodynamic process creates, literally, food for the skin. Since the skin absorbs most of what we put on it, this stuff lets people feel confident that they are not adding detriment to themselves for the sake of beauty! And that's a BIG perk! ps - I like to keep most of my biodynamic, preservative-free products in the refrigerator but for this product, if you are using it twice daily, you'll probably go through it fast enough not to worry. Just remember to check the expiration date on the bottom of the box and look for a date that's at least a year away and you'll be set!

At $24.99 for 30 ml it's not the cheapest stuff around, but it sure it bang for the buck! And as far as biodynamic skincare lines go, a bargain. Available at most Target stores (check the aisle where they carry Burt's Bees).

I love the wild rose line from Weleda and unfortunately didn't realize that this cream is geared toward oily skin. My skin is dry so I am going to get the day cream when I use this up. I love the scent and it soaks in really well. Quality product!

Hated the smell - I like the smell of the Wild Rose Body Cleanser, so I thought I'd enjoy this as well Wrong - it is so overpowering and strong, that it made me sick to my stomach. There is only a mild rose aroma to the lotion, I have no idea what's in there that smells so bad. Yuk.

I can't believe that this product is geared to oily skin. This sat on my skin and did not seem to penetrate, so I washed it off. One way to use this product might be to mist your face with a hydrosol, then apply just a pea sized amount all over. Or, use it as a moisture masque, then remove. I may try this in the winter, when my skin is less greasy. I love the scent and the ingredients list. The metal tube is a great idea for keeping the integrity of the product. It is certainly a high quality formulation, however, I would recommend it more for drier skin types. Presently I am using this on my hands.

A very nice moisturiser. I know its meant for rather oily skin, but it doesnt really easely sinks in my combo skin. Thats the only con. Furthermore it indeed gives your skin a nice glow, it smells delicious and you only have to use tiny bits of it so your package lasts forever. I use it as a night cream on the drier parts of my face, not during the day because it doesnt contain a SPF. Looks nice on your lips too (but maybe Im the only one who puts everything on her lips ;)

Nice, natural moisturizing cream. Too light for my skin, but I liked it nevertheless. It added a nice, healthy glow to my skin, not something all moisturizers do. The scent was very luxurious and inoffensive, the way I like it. The cream itself is non-greasy, sinks in really fast, not like some other natural creams, that have heavy/oily textures. I think, I would buy this again for summertime, if I were on thin budget.
