I love this cleanser! It actually makes your skin feel and look perfectly clean - without need to use make-up wipes before or after. It has a menthol kick which gives a refreshing cooling sensation.

Does not make me break out and I just love the feeling. I have been using for many years - never lets me down. Price is great too!

Let me start out by saying that I love this cleanser! (for my oily skin). The acidity of this cleanser makes it only suitabled for oily skin - it'll dry out too much any other. When it comes to cleansers, there's no 'one size fits all' as everybody's skin is unique, so be wary of reviews where someone's skin is most likely different from your own. I would only recommend trying this cleanser if you have oily skin where it does wonders to clean off that oil and leave a clean, fresh feeling afterwards not brought about with milder cleansers. Also keep in mind that stubborn acne is not always solved by 'miracle' cleansers and time/medication may be necessary. I wouldn't recommend it to remove makeup as I prefer the scrub to makes sure I get everything off and then follow with this for a thorough cleaning. If I ever do feel my skin getting dry a simple application of moisturizer fixes my worries. Hope this helps!

I bought this after a beauty therapist told me I needed a better cleanser to keep pores unblocked (I was using a very cheap cream cleanser at the time). I really should have shelled out the cash and bought the MD Formulations Glycolic cleanser which I've used in the past with great results. But to save money, got this from the supermarket. Not a good move... even though it leaves your skin feeling very clean (especially with the menthol), it really does strip the skin of oil, which in turn makes you produce even more! I agree with makeup artist Lisa Eldridge that gentle cleansers are actually better for oily/combination skin (especially when combined with small amounts of acids like glycolic, salicylic or lactic). Better to spend a bit more on something that will last longer and not damage your skin.

I started using this when I moved to a different country- which made my combo skin break out due to different climate. This thing helped me a lot and cleared most of the acne away. I have tried to use this again recently and found that it is now too harsh on my skin and dries it out a bit ( especially around the cheek area, where my skin is dry). It does make the pores on my nose look a little tighter and a bit less noticeable. So I guess that's a "maybe" on the buy again question. I will use this product again if i have any breakouts in the future.

Let me start off by saying that I consistently read reviews for every kind of facial product (make-up, cleansers, moisturizers, toners, acne treatment... basically anything I want to try) before buying, but I never write one about anything because I'm never satisfied enough to write back.

I LOVE this cleanser. Out of all the years of trying skin care products, this is the one time I have been completely satisfied with one.

I don't know why some people are saying their skin is drying out... it's for combination/oily skin so if you have dry skin, why are you using it? Duh it'll dry it out.
Anyway, not the point. I have really sensitive skin and the b/c pills I just started using a couple months ago have given me worse acne than usual so I wanted a cleanser to better help my acne as well as help my oily skin (on my forehead mostly). This stuff is amazing and this is coming from someone who has tried A LOT of different cleansers. My skin feels so fresh after using it and I know it's for sure clean.

It even cleans off my waterproof mascara in one quick wash. NO cleanser has ever done that, my mascara is usually always still on after washing my face. I know it's really cleaning my face because I use a toner afterwards usually and there's usually not a single spot on the cotton pad, maybe a tiny tiny bit of make-up once every 6 times... probably from a place I missed when washing.

I strongly recommend this product, I really hope people reading this will try it because it's really amazing and I would not have taken the time to write this review if it was not. I used to always be skeptical of reviews that were long and so pleased with whatever product it was for because I'd start thinking maybe someone from the company wrote it. But I swear I am just a regular girl (20 years old) frustrated with some acne and oily skin. Please try this product if you're like me and are looking for the long-sought-out answer to your skin problems!

And like I said, this is meant for oily or combination skin. I have sensitive skin and was scared this product would dry my skin out like lots of skin products have. But this has not dried it one bit from what I can tell and I've used this for at least 3 weeks now.

My acne is also a lot better as well as my oily skin (not as bad, but still there. But nothing has ever helped my oily skin and this cuts it down by at least half which is amazing) and I'm very very thankful. Thank you so much Garnier and readers, please give this a try! It's pretty cheap and I gauruntee you that if you're skin is at least a little acne prone and oily/combination, you will be relieved at last with your daily skin stresses. :)

I used this for years as my daily cleanser in the shower. I love the tingly fresh cooling sensation and I always felt my skin was quite clean. I've only stopped using it recently because I can't get it where I'm at now. I did not find this to be drying on my combination skin and I found it controlled acne quite well. I'd say it does depend on your skin though as I've read other reviews that say otherwise.

This is a really good cleanser...I had it some years ago, when i had really bad breakouts and discolouration.
Seriously it is very strong and it made my skin dehydrated so a had to put on my moisturizer as fast as possible..But it worked! My skin was all nice soft and clear. Everyone was amazed because my skin was perfect in a month and i can say that i had really bad skin issues...
It did make a huge difference. Don't expect results within the first week. But keep using it and you'll be amazed. You don't need anything else and its a very good cheap product.
Also if you have oily skin this is for you...
Now my skin is in a really good condition and i stopped using it. If i ever have the problems that i used to, i am probably going to use this again

This is the worst cleanser I ever used. When I put it on my skin to remove cosmetics, it immediately tingled the skin. I wanted to rinse the gel as soon as possible.

Despite that trouble, it worked as a cleanser just ok. I never got satisfied with the work though.

I LOVE this face wash! i hated using face wash as all face washes would make my face feel really dry- and I would always have to put cream on right after.
this facewash is perfect for me! it smells good, and my skin is flawless! I dont usually break out but recently with my old cleanser i have been, now that i have been using this one, my skin is soft and no more break outs! love love love!

I only use this product because my mum bought it and I had no more facial cleansers. I never even thought of using garnier before. I just have to say, it cleans off makeup pretty well. When you wash your face with this cleanser, your face feels fresh and you get that..fresh feeling?
It does not help with acne, and doesn't stop pimples from coming.
I won't use this again, but you do feel very clean after you use this.

This product doesn't work for me. The gel doesn't foam so it is hard to lather around your face. It doesn't help your acne at all. I don't really like the scent of this product. I would not use this product again, it was a waste of money.

I've been using this cleanser for quite a while now...I used to only wash my face at night and understandably, my skin always had several pimples. Now, I use it as soon as I wake up too, and my skin looks really great...saying that though, I'm taking better care of it all round, so maybe the cleanser isn't the only reason. It can be drying, but it's nothing that a bit of moisturiser can't fix. It's not nearly as drying as some other acne cleansers I've tried (including some pretty pricey brands that did nothing). My face doesn't feel irritated afterwards either, and it seems to remove makeup well. For the price, and the good results, I'll definitely repurchase.

I used this product for quite a few years. It wasn't bad and it seemed to do an ok job. I just figured I had "bad" skin because of the break outs I used to get. It dried out my skin fairly often as well. Now I realize, this probably just wasn't the right cleanser for me. I wouldn't reccommend this for dry skin!

This is my usual cleanser. It has a nice smell and consistency, I love the mint in it, it's probably the most favourite feature of this product, makes the skin feel very fresh and cleaned. But it is a bit hard to foam, a little minus for that. It cleans my skin pretty well, but not fantastic. However, I do get a lot of compliments on my skin and since I have been using this product for a while, I guess I do owe something to it. In overall a good cleanser. The package is nice, but the pump isn't so convenient since you can't really regulate the amount of the gel yourself.
UPD: Started drying out my skin very much! Good the pack is almost finished. I am switching to a better cleanser soon.

I like the fresh tingling sensation, but that's about it. It doesn't clean my face very well at all. When ever I follow up with a toner, there is so much dirt on my cotton ball! Won't buy again.

My forehead gets bumps, and usually pimples as well and I used it, and there isn't that much difference, but gives a good clean feeling, but I feel that you have to buy the shine control moisturizer as well for it to work, overall, it's drying so if you have combination skin, use it ONLY for the areas that are oily, then have a good moisturizer.

I've been using this product for a few months and I have found no major complaints with it.
It's alright as a cleanser - I use it in the mornings in the shower, and the "cool" sensation can be really refreshing, as well as the minty, cucumber scent. I haven't seen it do a lot of difference to my skin, however. It still suffers from breakouts, just like before. I also DON'T recommend using this more than once a day - I don't have sensitive skin of any sort, but I still find it to be quite drying, even if you use a light moisturizer afterwards.
I might buy this again for the relatively cheap price, but that would be about it. I think I would keep looking for something that can actually clean my face a bit better.

This cleanser has a tingly sensation, which I've now found out comes from the menthol and alcohol in this. It's not at all good for your skin since it can be very irritating (Paula Begoun goes into more detail in her review).

As most users have said.. it does ALRIGHT as a cleanser. Not amazing. But not bad for the price. One of the most annoying things is the packaging. If you tip the bottle slightly the wrong way, you'v lost half your product! A little messy. Not a trustworthy travel bottle. Glad I tried it, but never again.
