I bought this cleanser almost 5 years ago, and it was just an average cleanser - nothing special. After a few uses, this facial cleanser was moved to the back of the cabinet, soon forgotten, and eventually thrown away.

So in my desperate attempts to keep my combination acne-prone skin at bay I bought this since it did wonders for my moms skin (we have different skin and sadly I didn't inherit her flawless skin) And unfortunately, I have to throw this product away. It smells nice, but fragrance-y products usually are not compatible with skin like mine.It did work for maybe 2 weeks, and hasn't worked since. I came to the conclusion that Olay products make my skin even more oily and greasy (maybe I'm using the wrong olay products?) I will continue my search for the "perfect cleansers"

I'm surprised this doesn't have higher reviews.. I really like this stuff. It's no miracle, but I've been using it for years and it's consistent. My face doesn't break out, I don't get flakies, overall I really like it! I have dry skin with occasional breakouts, especially on my chin. My skin LOVES SA, which is why I tried this.

I will have to disagree with most people here. I really love this product, it is a very mild exfoliating, the beads, are tiny, which is good, scrubs are not supposed to be abrasives (that is so 80s !!!) and it has 2% salicylic acid which is good for people with oily skin like me or acne. I use it 3 times a week, otherwise it can really dry your skin.

This stuff is worthless. I'm beginning to learn that I don't like Olay products, and this just re-enforces that lesson. It wasn't much of a scrub, and definetely didn't make my skin feel clean like an average scrub would. I think I used it two or three times and shoved it in the back of the bathroom closet.

This works okay. I bought it in a pack with the daily facials wipes, which I really love and use everyday to take my makeup off. This exfoliater is weird feeling, it's like a gelly texture with sharp beads. It feels slimy on my face, I like the other exfoliant from olay, the one with the white cream and beading much better. I would not repurchase, but I have two more of these so I will using them for a while.

I liked this product. It gets the job done. It did not break me out or cause irration. I think this is a good scrub, it does leave your skin feeling smooth. I liked the texture it is not too course. I personally would not use a scrub everyday maybe every other day or 3 days a week, but I did use it everyday for about 2 weeks and it did a good job. I will buy it again, I think it is something nice to have.

i received this product as a freebie when i purchased aveeno body wash and thought i'd give it a try. nothing to lose, right? hmm. i have fairly sensitive skin, so much so that my derm told me to stay away from physical exfoliators and stick with chemicals (e.g. glycolic acid). i wanted a product to bring to the cottage to take off the sunscreen and sweat, but this was still too harsh. it made me breakout in surface pimples within a day of using it. i'll stick with my reversa toner, which exfoliates with glycolic acid.

I am an Asian, in my 20s with dry-normal skin. I love the Clarify line by Olay, I use this daily scrub with their purifying toner, its price and result are unbeatable (while Shiseido, bioferm, kiehls, Shu Uemura, Aveeno and Dr Ci La Bo failed really hard on me.) I meant, Olay had spent many many years develop their skin products, it got to be something, right? update: although it helps to keep zits at bay, it dry my skin after using it for 1 year, I have rough skin and line nows :<

I have only used it for a couple of days, but I did a test... a $42 scrub on one cheek and Olay on the other...and I had my hubby touch both cheeks and he said (and I agree) that the Olay side was a lot smoother. He didn't know which brand I used on the cheek...he just tested it by smoothness. Which essentially is what we are going for here...since it is a scrub. The smell is a bit perfumey...which I hope doesn't have a negative effect on my skin, but it smells good. I like how it has the salicylic acid in it which I like for my breakouts. I agree that there doesn't seem to be as much beads compared to the gel, but it works enough for me. I don't think I would use this every day though. Maybe 2 a week. I will update once I have use this for longer.

on my search for a good scrub for exfoliating my skin, i stumbled upon this product. the packaging is so nice ad pretty, and it claims that it exfoliates and deep cleans. so i bought it. when i got home, i was really excited to try it out, so at night in the shower i did. first of all, the beads in the scrubs are not round shaped, so it can be a tiny big rough when it gets scrubbed on my skin, second, there aren't a lot of beads in the gel, so it doesn't exfoliate at all! usually after i exfoliate, my skin is very very smooth, but this doesn't bring that effect. and when the few beads actually scrubs a little part of my face, it's too rough and in a way a little irritating.
the scent is ok..nothing too good, smells like detergent honestly, but i don't mind, because detergent can smell pretty good in a way. i was really unpleased with this product, but anyways i put on my moisturizer and went to bed. in the morning, i found many white bumps on my t-zone area, i squeezes 1 of them, and they appeared to be clogged pored, or white head, i don't know which. so that proved that this product is CRAP! it pissed my off so much. i will be returning this tomorrow and find a better and cheaper scrub that actually works.
i will not in any cases recommend this product to any of you. when you are looking for a gentle bu effective scrub, i suggest you to find one with round shaped beads in it, so whatever it does it will not be too harsh for your skin.

I have used this product for about a month, and it didn't work at all. I have an acne-prone, super sensitive, normal-oily skin. The Clarity line (scrub in the morning & regular face wash in the morning) caused me to break out. Normally, Olay products are great on my skin, but not this line. I don't recommend it for sensitive skin , and the smell is a bit strong. It smells like detergent liquid. I'm not really fond of the smell and the effect. I'm a bit disappointed, so I switched over the Neutrogena for 2 weeks now... So far, it's been okay. I don't highly recommend this product for overly sensitive skin/acne-prone.

Normal / very Sensitive skin: This scrub could be the wrost I have used..I have had share of bad experiences with cleanser/scrubs, but this one really did it for me. Simply Useless! It dosen't take off the make-up, nor dead skin cells. I don't feel any cleaness after, so I have to wash it with something else. At first, I didn't care about that the smell is too strong, but now I do. No more using it on my face, I use it as body scrub. I can't wait to use this up.

This scrub left my normally oily-ish skin very dry, tight, red, and irritated, and it has an extremely overpowering fragrance. Not recommended unless you have very tough skin and a tolerant nose.

I have dry skin with some breakouts. I use St. Ives scrub but it's too harsh for daily use so i picked up this stuff. It cleared up my skin and my skin looked great when I woke up the next day. Since I have dry skin I have to use a moisturizer.. (doesn't everyone need to use a moisturizer??) no complaints here.. except maybe the price? I don't feel the sliminess other people report, lasts a long time because you only need a little bit

I love the clarity line, and I'm surprised this cleanser/scrub combo hasn't gotten much better reviews. I use it in conjuction with the regular Clarity cleanser (reg at night, scrub in shower in the morning), and my face is very clear, and not too dry. It would be wise to follow with a moisturiser though, oily or normal, combo or dry, whatever your skin is. Remember, skin's worst enemy is dead skin, not moisture.

I bought this scrub to go along with the cleanser because the commericial said that it would clear your skin even if you use hormones, not. Well not for me at least. The scrub can be very harsh for daily use. it did more bad than good for me actually. Both of them are in my bathroom cabinet, not being used. Not a repurchase for me.

I'm glad I got this as a sample and didn't spend the money on a full tube, because it really dried me out. There is definitely more gel than scrub to this product -- the beads are few and far between. I had to stop using it within three days because my skin started feeling so dry and tight when I used it at night. Definitely will not purchase - there are much better scrubs out there.

This product hasn't been clearing my skin of my acne, but it does do a great job of sloughing away dead skin. My skin is smoother after using it. Then I apply my moisterizer right afterwards, and it takes care of my very very dry skin. It's inexpensive, and I'm on my second bottle, needless to say I will buy again.

I used this product for a long time. I have combination skin that's prone to break outs in the t-zone. I also have minor scarring. At first I liked this product and thought it was helping with the small bumps I had on my forehead. However after a while I started to HATE this stuff. It takes forever to wash off and doesnt remove makeup. It did not help with acne at all. It made my skin very tight and dry and start to flake. My skin tends to lean more on the oily side so this came as a surprise. The texture of my skin also began to worsen and I began noticing more breakouts. I would not buy this product again or recommend others to try it. There are so many better ones out there. I also think a daily scrub might be too harsh for most skin types.
