This is one of those perfumes that make people stop and ask what you are wearing. I get compliments everyday on this perfume. Hands down this is one of the best perfumes I've ever owned and I wil not never get tired of it. This is my fourth bottle. I put this on early in the morning and by the evening I can still smell it. In the bottle it doesn't smell as good but once you spray it on your skin it smell absolutely amazing.

I love the smell of this perfume, but I eventually got tired of it. I don't recommend buying the bigger bottles because if you don't like it, then it'll be a waste of money. It is a strong perfume, so I don't recommend soaking yourself in it.

I gave up on finding a sweet edible fragrance that lasted and didn't smell childish and cheap. So i dropped the new scent search for a couple of years and stuck with my standbys. (Falling in Love, Coco Mlle) Then after reading reviews for Hot Couture and giving it a few tries: Yes! This scent is like a raspberry mocha, it's super sweet but rich, freshness from the berries but creamy from the chocolate/vanilla/coffee. This scent is straight up womanly, I don't know if I would say it's sexy, more cozy and romantic. Like being in a french bakery cafe that is filled with that hot melted chocolate smell and smoky breads. It stays on the skin for most of the day, I applied at 10am, and now at 7pm I could still smell it gently, but applied more to write this review :) And it lasts for DAYS on clothes. My boyfriend gave me a good hug/smell (you gotta love those) and said "Mmm you smell soft and.....goooood....what is that??" Great for the early spring weather when you want to smell girly but still cozy. Finally a new scent to wear!

I love girly, sweet perfumee so this is on roation with Miss Dior (cherie, not originale) and L'Air du Temps. It lasts very well on my skin and smells of Refreshers sweets; a lovely sherbet scent. It's not over powering but up close smells beautiful. I get a waft when I next pick up a scarf or top I wore with it.
The packaging is a bit...let's just says the bottle won't be on display once empty. However it is very functional and that's the important thing. I keep in in the cardboard box and this is enough protection for travel. I think the bottle looks cheap though; it deserves something more delicate and pretty.
I will buy this at full price if I have to in future but it is quite frequently included in 1/3 off promos in the UK so it can be bought for a more reasonable price.
Because of the long lasting scent I never need to reapply this in the day, which also makes it better value.
Based on the bottle alone (since it has no ad campaigns to get it noticed) I would never have entertained this perfume so I am glad it showed up on a perfume site suggestions based on preferences type list.
Another plus of this is that I've yet to meet another wearer. I just hope that it doesn't get discontinued because it's not popular enough.

Givenchy Hot Couture is elegant and confident! This is the perfect scent for that sweet, innocent woman with a secret sexy, naughty allure to her. A sweet smoke raspberry spiced up with vetiver. Soft hints of jasmine and bergamot with warm amber, musk, and a touch of rose. I am absolutely in love with this bewitching, glamorous, and sophisticated fragrance!

This is my all time favorite perfume! I had purchased this back when they had the Alexander McQueens limited edition. I've gotten so many compliments from family and friends; strangers have even came up to me and have asked what I was wearing. The smell is so unique. I only wear this on special occasions because it is pretty pricey, but well worth the splurge! I'm so glad that Givenchy had brought this back. For a long while.. It was very hard to find.

Hmmm . . . . After pondering over this for 2 years, I finally went for the 100ml EDT blind-buy based on the cult-like reviews and the Michael Edwards Fragrance Finder that consistently recommended this when i put in several of my current favs in their "If you like that then try this" . . . . I love berry notes and my skin tends to radiate spices and earthy notes (sometimes to my chagrin), so I hoped this would be a winner. It is not my destiny with Hot Couture. I don't get ANY berries beyond the first 5 minutes, yet something oddly and vaguely sweet lingers in the background . . .like fruits stewed with soup spices?? Strange. . . Then the combination of the spices and vetiver drew a definative/firm line in the sand and that is that. It appears that I'm alone in my lack of love for this strangely sweet peppery, rooty concoction that is not very pleasing to my nose. I don't hate it but I don't get the loveliness that so many have described here. I'll give it another go before deciding its fate in my collection or offering it up for swap. So sad.

Surprisingly pretty fragrance by Givenchy. A delicious smokey rasberry with a candy sweetness. By the label design I assumed this was an older perfume from the 80s but it was only released in 2000. Personally it doesn't suit my style but I would recommend anyone to give it a try.

I LOVE the smell of this perfume. I use it interchangeably with my D&G Light blue or on days/nights when I am going out. I think it's such a classy smell and I really like the way it smells on my skin. I always find people asking me what perfume I'm wearing whenever I have this one on.

I went to sephora looking for a new fragrance because I was getting a little bored of my current favourite which is Dark Kiss from bath and body works. I told the sales lady this and she plugged dark kiss into the computer to see if there were other scents along the same lines and somehow Hot Couture was one of the alternatives that came up. Well I tried it and loved it almost immediately because it was a little fruity with a bit of a dark edge to it. I walked around in the mall for a little until it dried down all while constantly smelling my wrists because of how divine it smelled. I ended up buying it and now I wear it every day even when I'm at home and going to bed. I think this lasts a lot longer than some of my other perfumes. Also I've been getting a ton of compliments on this from the guys and that almost never happens. One guy friend says it reminds him of patchouli which is one of his favourite scents. Overall, this fragrance to me makes me feel like a good girl with a bit of a bad girl edge. I get bored of perfume fairly quickly but this one seems to be keeping me interested. It's been over a month now and I have no desire to change fragrances. I have also noticed that this perfume changes sightly from day to day some days its sweet, some days it's sexy and dark, some days its a little of both. BTW I didn't find this to be any more expensive compared to the other perfumes on display. Packaging is not big and chunky so it fits easily into my purse. I will most definitely buy this again when it runs out... it is running out already :)

I am in love with this scent and I just wish I had another lifetime just to wear this! I am buying the biggest bottle available in the nearest future! Smokey, slightly dusty peppery raspberry with a vanilla base, that doesn't lull you into an olfactory coma, but rather keeps your nostrils open in anticipqation of the next whiff you might catch! I so love the pepper here: with anything else but raspberry it would have been suffocationg and blah, but they make such a beautiful marriage in this bottle! Frankly, I am amaze, that this perfume is relatively young, because to me it just screams decadence (and I am a big fan of all things D !:)) , and this is what the 20s would have smelled like in my imagination: deep red liquor and smoke floating around dusty parlours, gentlemen in suits and hats ladies in beaded tassel dresses... I am exactly in this kind of mood these days and I simply cannot wait to dab a little of HOT COUTURE and immediately emerge feeling like a real old glamour cabaret diva!:)

I love strong scents that aren't too floral based. This scent has a sweet, fruity base and lasts for hours. It's the kind of fragrance that stops people dead in their tracks. A bit on the expensive side but I feel it is well worth the price. It's not for everyoe, but I adore this fragrance!

I sprayed this on at the store. I did not like this. I even let it dry down for quite awhile hoping I would like it then but I still didn't like it. Too sweet and smokey on me.

For a patchouli loving girl, I hate to say that I love this sickingly-sweet perfume. Is that a word... sickingly? Well you get my drift. This review is for the EDT which is very sweet smelling therefore,I spray it sparingly on my pulse points and my neck. This scent is very girly but quite sexy, however, does not last all day, but I carry it with me in an atomizer and I really do not mind re-applying. This perfume is fairly simple, not quite complex at all and I would recommend this for the Aqualina-Pink-Sugar-Prada-Candy-BritneySpears-Fantasy-FlowerBomb-kind-of-girl.

This is my absolute favourite perfume! It is suitable for day and night and has the right amount of staying power. I usually use 3 sprays. I find it a little odd others are comparing it to smoke. It's interesting how a fragrance changes with the bodies chemistry! Any way I have used this for years and never noticed such a smell.
It opens with bergamot and lemon, followed by raspberry, strawberry, spices, and rose. Base notes are vetiver, amber and white musk. Whenever I wear this I get inquiries of what it is - even a bus driver shyly asked me what I was wearing to purchase it for his wife.
The bottle is gorgeous, with simple lines and reminds me of vintage elegance. Looks beautiful on my mirrored tray! I will repurchase again and again. Also I just have to kindly disagree with the reviewer who said this scent is more fitting for a 30 year old business woman.. I find it sophisticated yes, but suitable for younger women as well - it's youthful, wearable and sweet. You should wear the scent, not the other way around!

This is probably not a revelation, but this fragrance smells nothing like a spray on a card when applied to the skin. Yeah, duh. I know. It is a sweet, peppery fragrance. My hubby thinks it's too sweet. I like it, though and I am sensitive to fragrances and very particular. It doesn't have any harsh notes or headache inducing fumes. Kind of a light, fruity floral spice. So nice. I'd suggest trying it out first before you buy.

I'm getting a bit sick of ridiculous bottles that don't fit in your hand and are fiddly, so I enjoy the simple lines of this packaging.
Quite an enchanting scent. Feminine. I spell pepper, raspberries, and vanilla. Good in that it doesn't seem to change depending on the individual - it smells similar on everyone (you could argue this is a negative point). Overall, I find this to be a warm, charming perfume.
Here's the rub: so often, it isn't credible. To me, it has a very definite personality - I imagine it ''should'' be worn by a 30 year-old who works in media, is elegant, gentle, feminine, well-heeled, youthful but classic at the same time. Long, shiny, natual hair, cashmere jumpers and a Longchamps handbag. For this reason, on my grungy, messy self, I just don't believe it. Nor do I believe it on the vast majority of ''every day'' women who wear it. Most perfumes adapt to the wearer, and the wearer's personality. This one doesn't, sadly. You need to fit its character mold.
