This kit is a great way to try out JI's glosses.
The lip "plumper" is a lip balm with ginger and mint in it. It causes enough irritation to make lips swell a bit. I didn't like the stinging and don't use it any more.

I was really excited to see that Jane Iredale had come out with a moisturizing lip plumper. I wasn't so excited to see that I had to buy an entire set of her lipglosses to get it. Nevertheless, i purchased it anyway just to get to try the plumping gloss. I'm so disappointed with this product. The "lip plumper" is nothing more than a very mediocre lip balm with a little mint extract in it. No plump lips and it really doesn't moisturize all that well. I have much better luck with lip venom. This plumpber did absolutely nothing for the lips and served no purpose whatsoever. I'm giving it three lippies because I did like the mini lipglosses. The lipgloss colors were very pretty although they were EXTREMELY sheer. Don't expect color out of these but they were moisturizing and had a nice satin shine to them. These are not an extremely glossy type of gloss but they do moisturize, provide a hint of color, and give a nice satin like shine to the lips which is great for softening up a harsh or bright lip color. Overall, this kit really isn't worth the money unless you really need a miniature version of lipgloss and you already know you like some of these colors or you'd really like to try a variety of Jane Iredale lipgloss. Don't bother trying this for the lip plumper because it really isn't anything other than glorified chapstick.
