I love this. It is something between a cream and a mousse but it looks like powder on your lid. It is so soft and has a very gentle, silky texture but is at the same time very pigmented. I even used this as an eye liner for some time and it worked quite well. I've never tried using it with a primer because it wasn't necessary. It doesn't smudge on me and it lasts really long. The container is the same as with the Shiseido cream eyeliner, I really like it. Great product.

Let me begin by saying I am a HUGE hydropowder fan. Ever since I began getting more (ahem) mature, these are really the only eyeshadows I will use as they don't emphasize wrinkles or settle into the crepiness that has unfortunately become a reality for me. They add a hint of shimmer without being over the top. As far as I'm concerned, they are a must for anyone with these types of concerns.

With respect to this color in particular, it is simply gorgeous and makes my brown eyes pop like crazy. Because of the texture, you can just add a thin layer for the slightest hint of color or layer it on more for a more dramatic look. Let me say that I do not wear colorful shadow as a rule (at all really) but this one I felt comfortable wearing out to do errands yesterday.

I am nc30/35, brown eyes and hair, age 43. For reference, my other favorite hydropowders are glistening sand, tigers eye, and spring plum. Rose tulle did not work on me.

NOTHING compares to these Hydropowder shadows. The texture is supermoist perfection and is so wonderfully pigmented. The blue in this is beautiful and superwearable - I wear it with the gold one, which I will review next. Absolute perfection if there ever was any! Definitely worth the money!!!!!!!!

This product is amazing! I got a makeup application done at shiseido and had to pick two products to buy, this was one of them. This colour is amazing, and really makes eyes pop as it is an turquoise colour. This probably isn't for everyday use since it is so bright and shimmery, but it's great for a night out. The only problem with this eye shadow is the price. I got it for $21 which is a bit more expensive than I'm used to for shadows. I would say its a gorgeous colour and I would buy it again though, and how many of us every REALLY run out of an eyeshadow, so I'd say its a pretty good investment!

This is my first Shiseido eye shadow and I absolutely adore it! Aqua Shimmer is the most beautiful blue I've ever seen; it's hard to describe it, but it has some shimmer and looks very funky. It comes in the cutest little pot (classic Shiseido packaging) and is very buildable. I like to wear it very sheer for an everyday look and more vivid for special occasions. I paired it recently with MAC's Blue Peep Fluidline and the result was gorgeous! A lovely shade that I'll never get tired of.

For reference, I'm an MMM with brown eyes.

This is a great product. I have brown eyes and NC20 skin and was looking for an aqua-ish sort of tone that wouldn't make me look like I was getting over a bruise. I tried this and the LM Mermaid and this was the clear winner for me. Something about the olive tones of my skin made Mermaid look like I was getting over a bruised eye, yet I could never get the colour to show up as a blue/green at all. Just a shimmer wash of bruise. I think it is because Mermaid has such a strong yellow shimmer. It also is a little greener and the Aqua is a little bluer.
The Aqua Shimmer (which flashes more silver rather than gold or yellow)shows up clearly as the colour in the pot when applied. This doesn't crease at all. It is also very versatile. I have used it as a wash as well as a liner (I love my Paula Dorf Eye Liner brush for that).Sometimes I use a browner pencil liner along with it when I don't want as intense of a blue to show.
Also, I don't consider the price to be out of line. Pricey, but not like some of the other brands out there--this was $22, the LM is $20. I am just so happy to have found a blue toned colour I can actually wear! Yay!

I wonder why these hydro powder e/s don't get many raves on the MU board, it is absolutely spectacular!! the texture is smooth and silky, almost like MAC fluidlines but very very pigmented with lots of shimmer.

Aqua shimmer is like a swimming pool filled with diamonds.

When applied using fingers, the colors are more subdued and sheer but if applied with a flat brush (like a concealer brush) the color and shimmer is more intense. The color reminds me of UD shattered, minus the gold sheen that Shattered has. Aqua Shimmer is also great as a base for blue eyeshadow like UD Shattered and MAC Parrot, but the eyeshadows will suppress the effect of the shimmer somewhat. Parrot is a tad darker, I've used it in the crease with this eyeshadow as a wash and its absolutely gorgeous.

At $21, its a pricy eyeshadow, but these will definitely last a long time and the color, texture, pigmentation is just worth worth worth it. Oh and I wish they made these in glass pots like Gel liners.

Never seen anything like this before!! Absolutely gorgeous vivid turquoise blue colour with lots and lots of shimmer. Lasts for ever and ever and it's sooooo easy to apply!! Used it last week for a 4 day music festival in the Mediterranean coast of Spain (hot hot hot), just to see if it really didn't crease. Boy was I surprised! I put it on at about 4pm, walked for an hour in the heat to the festival site, went on to sweat and dance in the heat for 12 hours, got back to the camping and the eyeshadow was there, as beautiful and as fresh as it looked when I put it on 12 hours earlier. Fab fab fab product. Will be buying many more of these. Try it!

Such a gorgeous fun colour, that's not OTT. The formulas of these cream eyeshadows are just lovely, easy to smooth on with your finger, fine shimmer and doesn't crease! This is one of the nicest aqua eyeshadows out there

This product gets ultra high marks for its ease of use and versatility. The texture is unique and quite different from other shimmery cream eye colors I've used, which tend to be greasy or gritty. Not only does HydroPowder dry to a fine powder finish without creasing, but it glides on like silk, blending effortlessly over, or under, other powdered eye shadow. The Aqua Shimmer is an exotic yet totally wearable shade that I would imagine working well on all complexions. It can be applied as an overall wash of color, but it's fun to blend into other eye shadow colors—especially yellows and greens— for some interesting effects. I've also used a fine detail brush with it to line my eyes, and it absolutely stays put. Hopefully Tiger Eye will be my next purchase, if I'm lucky enough to find it.

As another reviewer said, this is very similar to Shu's ME Blue 638 (which I love), but in a cream form. It doesn't crease and is waterproof! But somehow, Shu's shade is brighter and prettier, although Shiseido's formula is better--great for sexy, smoky eyes.

Sexy, summery eyeshadow. It's a beautiful teal shade with lots of shimmer. I adore this for a dramatic look.

Lovely color, just like the name is is a aqua/blue/green shade. Super silky texture. I think it would look wonderful as a base to MAC parrot or tilt. It really is creaseproof and stays on for most of the day. The catch is you gotta let it dry. When i put it on my lid, i gotta keep my eye close for it to dry first. I like it, but wouldnt buy again cuz it comes in a good size pot. By then, i should be "into" something else.
