This is a creamy concealer that is perfect for dark undereye circles. It is the right color for my complexion (NW 20)- just a tiny bit lighter than my skin tone. It's creamy and not thick or pasty. It just nicely brightens up those dark circles. The down side of this product is its packaging. Like all squeeze tubes like this, the product keeps coming out, more than you want, with each tiny squeeze. I usually squeeze out a tiny but, then put the lid on quickly before too much comes out. I use a small brush to apply to my undereye circles and tap gently with my fingertips. Despite the poor packaging, I really like this product for dark circles, as it's been hard to find one I like with my fragile undereye skin. I have tried them all and this is the best!

I don't understand the Magic Eye Balm Hate. This is by far the loveliest eye cream I've ever used! It's very moisturizing for the undereye area with the Shea Butter in it, but not greasy at all like some others that I've tried. (Kiehl's Avocado, I'm talking about you!)
After it soaks into your undereye area, it leaves just the slightest hint of tint to even out any dark shadows. It contains wee reflective particles too to brighten up the whole eye. On an everyday basis, I can just use this cream w/o concealer to look awake & alive.

I like this stuff a lot. On my second tube of it. It makes a nice base for eyeshadow or by itself it will banish that raccoon-eyed, underslept look. I use it under the eyes too. Has a mild amount of dewy sparkle to it which helps brighten things up. I had no issues with blending it but I always start with a freshly washed face with an SPF moisturizer all over it.
The package is a pain. My first tube burst along the seams on a transatlantic flight. My entire make-up bag was flooded with the stuff :( The stuff is in there under pressure and comes out quickly. A pot or pump would have been better considering the price they are asking.

one of the worst eye product. i dont like the tinted. too thick and uneasy to blend. i have only a few wrinkles but after i use that, all dry lines come out. have to stay away fromthis. it is NEITHER an eye care product NOR eye concealer. Dont know what its for.

I mainly use this as a touch-up product during the day or when I am getting ready to go out in the evening. Because it is trying to both moisturize and conceal, I don't think it does either one very well. The metal tube is a pain but since a dab goes a long way I think it will last a long time. Overall kind of disappointing but not horrible.

This stuff works fine for me. I don't like a heavy concealer, and this is just the consistency I'm looking for. I've had no problem applying or blending, and it doesn't pill or settle into fine lines. I don't have a problem with lines around the eyes anyway, so maybe that's why this works for me. I've had trouble finding an eye cream that doesn't irritate my very sensitive eyes, so this satisfies my need for a little coverage plus some treatment. The product does leak out of the tube a little, but I haven't been bothered by this too much. I think it will last quite a while, even with the leakage, but I'll be willing to repurchase when needed.

Lightweight, tinted orange eye balm that covers like a like makeup but does not do too much for
the bags under your eyes..Would not buy the product again..

I love L'occitane but this product is HORRIBLE. The tube dispsenses too much product and it pills up during application. Also, don't get it too close to your eye because it feels like battery acid is eating through your cornea.
Love the concept, but I think this could use a re-formulation. :(

Open Eyes Magic eye balm is a concealer-like product intended to camoflage dark undereye areas. I have to agree with other reviewers that it doesn't exactly go on smoothly - it went on unevenly and did not blend well. The color of the product went well with my NC30 skintone, but since the consistency was difficult, it takes some work to make the product go on and look natural. I am using samples but I do not intend to purchase this product.

Ok, first of all, on the L'Occitane website, it is listed under eye care. Sure it is, make up disguished as skin care. What is the world coming to? My eye area became flaky after applying this and it wasn't a smooth application. Kept dragging my skin.

meh - i want to love this. and i do like the way it feels, and the way it looks while it lasts. it does need re-applying, but i guess that's to be expected with an "eye balm" that's also a light concealer. it gives a pretty glow around the eyes. what's NOT so pretty is what happens if the cute wee metal tube gets squeezed and jostled a bit in your makeup bag. you open the tube to apply and WHAMMO! eye balm everywhere. quite annoying. if they could fix the packaging so this didn't happen, i'd probably buy again, but as it is, it seems like you waste quite a bit of product.

This is a tinted eye balm that comes in a metal tube. It only comes in one color and it is pretty light, I have really pale skin (pics in profile) and it works for me, but I'm not sure that it would for the darker skinned ladies. It is like a mixture of concealer and eye cream and I like to use it for touch up during the day b/c it has light reflectors in it that help with dark circles. I've used it both over and under concealer and I think I like it better under the concealer, but again it is good to touch up with during the day. If you don't have bad dark circles you could use just this without an additional concealer. The cons about this product is that it comes out of the tube without having to squeeze the tube (therefore wasting a little and making it a bit messy) and it can kind of ball up so you sometimes have to rub it in (or off) and try again. I would recommend this product for those with lighter skin, but definitely not if your skin is darker. All in all I like this product a lot so far. Oh I think it was $18 at Sephora.

Nice product overall except for the packaging. Like a tinted moisturizer for the eyes, this cream provides some light color/ coverage. It is absorbed surprisingly fast without any residue or sticky feeling, yet it feels moisturizing. This would make a great base for concealer or as an everyday eye cream for light circles. The downside, though, is the packaging. Like many other L'Occitane products, it is in a metal tube, which keeps dispensing product once squeezed. This might prevent me from rebuying, even though the product itself is nice.

Very thick consistancy. Has a tendency to pour out of tube very quickly. (Love the tube though, stops air spoilage) I carry a little jar of eye cream and when I open my tube to reapply, I make sure my jar is near by to put in the extra and use this mixed with moisturizer.Alittle goes a long way and comes out thickly. Layers nicely and covers the dark under my eyes. Has shea butter in it, so I don't know about the lines yet. I don't know if I would buy again yet- i probably would.
