This foundation has a lot going for it. Spf 20 with a good percentage of zinc oxide and titanium dioxide.Physical only sunscreen, less likely to cause stinging eyes.Chemical sunscreens cause a lot of problems aound eyes for a lot of people including me. So it is broad spectrum protection. But it doesn't offer much in the way of coverage, more like a TM and it's rather greasy upon application . I couldn't use this without powder. However, set with powder it's fine.My skin's combination and that's what this foundation is for. It's a nice light summer make up, and I'm happy with it. Feels very light on, This evens out skin tone , but if you're after good coverage , this isn't for you.If you're thinking of a TM for summer , try this, it's better than a lot of BB's as well. It's available cheap on Amazon just now(it usually is)I got mine for five pounds 80p and free delivery so really you've nothing to lose by giving it a try.For reference I'm nw 15 -20 and wear this in Buff Beige. The colour match is perfect the colour does look darker in the bottle. This is fragrance free and is a top pick on beautypedia.

I love this foundation. It blends in well on my face and I love how it has a matte finish. The only downside to this product is that it only has light to medium coverage and I would prefer a more fuller coverage. I love how light it feels on my face aswell and it lasts all day. I will definately repurchase

Revlon, are you by chance reading this? If so, thanks a lot for NOTHING, you morons!
I have used Age-Defying with BotaFirm for dry skin since it came out. It was perfect. My shade was 04 Nude Beige. But you had to go and change it, didn't you? That's right....some bright-eyed, squirrelly little overachiever decided he was going to make his mark by improving what DID NOT NEED improving. But you allowed it, and you screwed up.
Otherwise, can you tell me how and why the 04 Nude Beige in your hotshot reformulated "Age-Defying for ALL Skin types" is NOT THE SAME COLOR as 04 Nude Beige in the old formula? Can you tell me why the old one is for fair cool skin like mine, and the new one (same shade!) is TAN? .........No?..........I didn't think so.
Thanks a hell of a lot for making me have to start from scratch and find a new foundation at my age.

I am over 40 and have fair skin, and I LOVE this foundation. It's hard to find foundations with natural sunscreens like this one ( zinc oxide & titanium dioxide ) since most dermatologists will tell you the physical sunblocks protect you the best!
This foundation is not heavy, and blends very well. I would especially recommend this foundation for women over 40 like me.

LIke this alot this winter! Maybe its because I am using a serum too, but I love the matte finish of the buff beige, and I like the tightening effect I perceive, especially around the eyes. I also dig how long it lasts- at least 8 hours, yet doesn't transfer. Im only 36, but I wonder if this botafirm ingredient has a long lasting effect on my skin. If so, I might be able to count on this for multitasking.

I've been using this for the last year and really like it, it covers well and doesn't make me look like I'm wearing makeup. It blends well, and I've even used it to tint my favorite moisturizer.
Only bad thing about it is when I used mineral powder it seems to clump in my fine lines and make them more obvious, I stopped using any powder when I wear it and it's still fine,

After swatching this on my hand I notice that it covers up most of all my blemishes on my hand (burns and cuts :p) It is a little thick for me but once it is blended in I think it's ok...
I am not talking about the price I didn't buy this so I can't say anything I received a sample.
The packaging is cute for me though, the swirls in this bottle are lovely but that just might be a good way to deceive on amount of product haha..
the smell is something that I caught onto.. it smells a little weird to me, like an old sofa for me.. it's too odd for me and if I wear this on my face I know I would not be able to stand this plus my face is a little sensitive
I see it has a little shimmer in it which is really good, As for the age defying I don't really need it or I don't know the difference.. is this an anti aging foundation? I don't need it. I got a sample and I don't think I will use this.. or buy it.

This product is my kind of expensive, 15 bucks! Luckily, my cvs somehow had a 75% sticker on it so I got it for 4 dollars. (ow oww!) Anyway, I've always tried liquid foundations and they always look unnatural, noticable, heavy and blah! I hate them! I picked this up because it's for dry skin and it matched my skin so well, plus the money :D I am so glad I did because this is such a good product! The only thing that bothers me is that it comes out a little discolored if you don't shake well and it doesn't have a pump and what not. I would re buy if I wasn't into trying out new makeup everytime I need something. :)

This foundation is really good!
I am 38, and I've tried several brands of foundations such as mac, clinique, loreal, shiseido...
Probably this is my favorite because:
the collor I bought, 02-bare buff, matches my skin tone perfectly (arround mac nc20-25)as it is light and sightly yellow,
the formula is good for combination skin,
the coverage is light/medium
it looks like I have no foundation on
it's not expensive considering the quality.
it seems like my skin is improving (!)
So this is a wonderful product and I'm glad I've found it!

I've been searching and searching for something with just a little coverage and an SPF and was hoping to find a tinted moisturizer, but I picked this up at target since it was spf 20 and it's been very nice! applies smoothly, it's a decent color match in the sun but looks perfect outdoors, I don't think it's breaking me out or anything. I still notice it looks just a smidge orange in the sun, but I'm remedying this by putting some on my neck. I think it looks very natural too. If I run out during the summer I'll repurchase otherwise I want to try the new creme stuff!

This provides a decent amount of coverage. I got it in the color fresh ivory, and it's a tad too pale for me, depending on the day. I normally mix it with a small pump of one of my other foundations that are slightly darker. It can have a slightly powdery finish, but that can be combated with a primer applied before application. Overall, I would by this again, because you do get a lot of product.

I found this to be a light-medium coverage foundation. The shade I got was 04 nude beige, and I am somewhere between NC20 and NC25 depending on the season. I found the color in the bottle to be a lot darker and pinker than my actual skin color (I am Asian with light skin), but it still ended up working for me, maybe because the coverage was light. My skin can be flaky sometimes, but it doesn't seem to accentuate the flaky spots as much as other foundations I've tried. It also lasts all day without turning orange. I do not like the packaging as it is in a glass bottle and you kind of just pour it out onto your hand. There is a nutty smell that others have mentioned, but it is not strong and does not stay around. The finish is nice and makes my skin look better without seeming like I have a lot of makeup on.

I love this WAY more than the DNA one. That is just too thick and greasy, plus it doesn't last. This is a much more luxurious product. Finish is dewy, which I like because my skin is very dry. This covers and blends beautifully, not at all in a thick, masky way. I love that this has SPF. Definite repurchase.

I purchased this for $11 USD. I'm an NC45 in Mac and I purchased this in Rich Tan (the darkest shade available). I'm not at the age where I need age defying products, but I wanted a foundation with natural/satin/dewy finish. Since most drugstores don't have the finish of the foundation, I just picked one directed at those with mature skin since those are the products that provide luminosity (you lose it with age). Anyway, the foundation is very thick in consistency, so you'll need to apply over freshly moisturized and/or primed skin for it to move and blend. The finish is natural/satin and gives the skin a noticable glow. The coverage is light, despite the thickness of the foundation. I find that it goes on a bit light, but oxidizes to the right shade. I have oily/combination skin, but this foundation holds up suprisingly well. I apply a powder to set, and while it mattifies the skin, it doesn't take away the glow of the foundation.I have minimal shine on my face and touch up probably once per day. The packaging would benefit from a pump since the formula is so thick, but I would recommend.

I picked this up tonight at the store and now I am kicking myself for spending 12 bucks on it. I tried it on half my face with moisturizer under it, it does not cover anything, and it sunk into my pores making them look even larger. The other half of my face I used a primer then tried again with the foundation, using a sponge this time. Same thing, sinks it, looks chalky, and no coverage. I got more coverage from my tinted moisturizer. Iam bummed cuz I spent so much money on it and its CRAP.. save your money folks.

First, let me say I got this on sale for around $8 at Walgreens. I chose the shade Bare Buff 02. I'm usually the lightest or next lightest shades in foundations. This looks darker in the bottle, but goes on lighter.
There should be a pump to dispense. I do like that the SPF in this is from zinc/titanium oxide, no chemical spf which irritate my skin.
This goes on lighter than bottle color, like I mentioned. It spreads easily and isn't dry. Goes on pretty smooth, i've been using fingers and then dusting with powder.
I do have to blot Tzone mid day, but that is with most. It looks decent as the day goes by, no oxidizing. I would say its light to med coverage, but can layer and doesn't cake up on me. No added fragrance, but does have a slight nutty, warm scent to it when applied. It gives me a nice glow without shimmer and its not flat matte. I have noticed breaking out more since using this, but am not sure if it is this or something else so that may be an issue.
Pros:
doesn't cake, no chemical spf, fairly inexpensive
Cons: possible breakout culprit, wouldn't recommend for oily skin, can be difficult to match since it goes on much lighter than bottle looks
all in all not too bad, catch it on sale and give it a try!

I bought this in 15 "early tan" (I was matched NC35/37 long time ago). I purchased at CVS, normal/combination skin, 1.25 fl oz. @ 13.99.
In my humble opinion this is a light coverage foundation. I don't find that it is buildable. That's okay that's what I wanted, something just the next step up in coverage than a tinted moisturizer.
I would not recommend this for women with oily skin or skin that is even the oily/combo. I do recommend this if your skin is dry, if it is dry/combo or if you have mature skin (mature as in over 45 yrs of age).
The finish is as said above light coverage but with a radiant finish. I call this radiant not dewy but this does not have shimmer or sparkles. Just leaves my mature skin looking fresher, more youthful. I'm not saying it makes me look young or younger, I'm saying the finish helps to give my skin a fresher more moist appearance.
Who the heck knows what Botafirm is and what it is supposed to do, I sure don't and I don't care as long as it doesn't cause me any problems like acne or rashes or etc. with my skin.
I finish this with a very light dusting of mineral veil only on my T-zone. I do not detect a strong fragrance. Slight and fades away after application.
To sum up, this is light coverage, not really buildable but you can get almost medium if you work at it. But don't purchase it expecting medium. I do purchase high end and department store counter makeup. If this were say in a bottle with the name Lancome, Estee Lauder, etc... and I used it? I would think that it was just as good as it is having purchased it from a drug store. In fact, I think I do prefer this to the department store foundations I already have. This will be my every day foundation. I'll save my Chanel, EL, Lancome for evenings out.

This foundation is the best I have ever had on my skin. It blends really well with my skin and it looks like I don't have any makeup on at all!
It goes well with any powder you want to use over it. No touch ups are necessary and it doesn't slide all over my face, like other people seem to experience.
The only drawback is the bottle, really. It doesn't have a pump and that makes it slightly unhygienic.

I usually use Chanel Vitalumiere. But in the seven month winter we just had, my "summer" shade wasn't working, and I couldn't get to the mall. Plus, I just can't resist the cosmetics section of CVS! So I was fully prepared to buy something I was sure I would hate, and return! But I'm wearing it today!
I think it's a great foundation. It's very moisturizing. I have been using it with a light touch. For 51, my skin is pretty good. I'm not expecting miracles. I apply it with my fingers, and build a little where necessary. It has a nice natural, dewy coverage. Which is the way to go when you start getting (eek!) "older". It's just better to look "glowy" than "pastey".
I know that 51 sounds old. (I'm actually beginning to think it sounds young!)
