This is another one of those hidden gems. I stopped by the Shisheido counter for my mother the other day and struck up a conversation with the SA. I told her that I've been experimenting with foundations lately. I've been looking for something with light buildable coverage, and a glowing but not shimmery finish. I want something that will hydrate my dry skin and minimize my pores. The Shisheido SA walked me over to the Borghese counter and handed me a tube of this. She told me that a well-known plastic surgeon recommends this foundation to his recovering patients, and that they all become hooked on it and continue to buy it long after their surgery. She offered to "fix me up", so I said "Sure!" Honestly, I was floored that a Shisheido rep would show me another company's product. She was not at all pushy, and in fact had me try a Lancome (Tient Miracle) and a Chanel (Vitalumiere) foundation for comparison. The Borghese blew everything else out of the water.

The coverage was light and buildable. The shade (#2 Latte), fit the bill perfectly. For those who feel most foundations are too yellow and make them look jaundiced, Borghese has shades for us pink ladies! The formula was very hydrating without being greasy. The finish is what I would call "glowy". No shimmer particles, no dew, but "lit from within". The tube packaging is hygienic and practical for travel. The only drawback I can think of is that it does not have sunscreen, but for me that is not an issue because I cover that base with my moisturizer. I really can't rave enough about this. There are so many unsung companies and products. I'm happy I was introduced to this jewel.

This product as well as the Hydro-Minerali
Natural Finish Makeup are the two best foundations i have ever used. I have acne prone sensitive skin and they not only help to even out skin tone but i do not feel they aggravate my condition. Have and Will continue to buy again.. and again

I got this as a gift from someone who'd bought the wrong colour, and I really love it. It settles really nicely into my skin and doesn't break me out, which is a miracle considering how sensitive my skin is. Lets my skin breathe and looks pretty, natural and glowy. Seems a bit pricey though, although I guess it'd be worth it. I mix it with my cheapie Maybelline foundation to get more mileage, or with my moisturiser for tinted moisturiser.

Edit: It breaks me out. Epic fail.

I have this in Principessa Beige which is a shade that would look good on those who have med-fair and medium skin tone. The texture is pretty good with a sheer coverage(so if you want a full coverage,I don't think it's for you).It feels very 'light' and doesn't break me out or anything so far.But I still think that it can't beat Anna Sui Brightening face powder foundation in any way.I bought this because it's a lot cheaper than AS(which retails around $45!!)but I think I'm gonna have to buy AS when I'm finished with Borghese.

There are 2 versions of this, the oil - free non comedogenic one, and the regular one. THe oil-free has only light coverage, so if you have acne spots or scars, this will not do it for you. I just bought the regular one which is medium coverage, and it suits my skin tone really well, is blendable and can add on to it for more coverage. Doesn't seem to catch on all my flakes, but whether this will make me break out, I will update. But from what I understand, this is supposed to be a treatment foundation, so you ar enot supposed to. We'll see.

This is the HG of foundations for all of you who are looking for a water-based foundation that is non-comodogenic, as well as oil free. I was a bit reticent to try this brand because I had never really heard of it and was unfamiliar with their products. However, after using it, I am totally happy and very impressed with the fact that it DOES not clog my acne-prone skin, unlike so many other brands that I have tried and do (Fresh, Maybelline, Vincent Longo Water Canvas, etc).
