I saw this at a CCO and passed, and then regretted it. Dumb! So I hunted it down on ebay after many unsuccessful swap attempts. It's a beautiful mauvy pink with very finely milled gold shimmer. The amaretto smell isn't that strong so it shouldn't bother anyone. I find this lipglaze a bit less sticky than the others I've tried, too. I also got the tingly sensation in my lips but it doesn't bother me. Really nice gloss. I love stila lip glazes! Shame this one was LE.

Amaretto is a limited edition shade that Stila released as part of its Pussycat Dolls collection (Peppermint was the other lip glaze shade) - you can sometimes pick it up on Ebay. It's a shimmery soft mauvey pink - equally good with a smoky eye or or a more natural look. If I didn't know better I would have thought that this was a plumping lip glaze. I didn't get a tingly sensation on applying but it made my lips look really full and pouty. Hate the click pen packaging, but I get around that by putting my lip glazes into a Japonesque lip palette and applying with a brush.

The colour is really pretty and I like it.
It's a sheer pinkish gloss with shimmers.
I might purchase it again if they changed their packaging and the texture of the gloss.
Felt that tingling sensation upon applying it and I don't really like that.
Also, its really sticky and the clicking application is really a pain.
I don't have all day to click and wait for the gloss to come out.

Color/Pigmentation: Shimmery pink. Shows up as a slightly frosty shimmer on my moderately pigmented lips.
Shine: Very shiny.
Glitter: Moderately shimmery.
Smell: I don't know what amaretto smells like, but this is sweet with a slight nuttiness. Very pleasant IMO.
Taste: Chemical.
Texture/Feel: Non-gritty, Moderate stickiness, Warming.
Lasting Power: About 2 1/2 hours without eating/drinking.
Moisturization: Moderate.
Other: Limited Edition.
Value: Moderate. This gloss is expensive and you don't get that much, but what you do get is absolutely lovely.

I received it in a swap so I can't complain about the price. I don't like the taste though but I like how it looks on my lips. It is quite a nude pinkish colour on me. I'm a NC 30.

hmmm i wish it smelled better; it has a woodsy, nutty amaretto scent but i like my scents sweeter. the color is nude-y with light rosy pink shimmer, looks amazing for that wet shine look. it goes on smooth but it is also sticky. definitely makes your lips look bigger tho

This is a great color and I love the way it feels on. Its not as sticky as a MAC lipglass. Its a cool, light pinky mauve and has a little of an icy look to it which I like. It is scented, but not overly so. The staying power is pretty minimal. Got it for $14 at a CCO and was very happy with it once I got to try it on at home. I'll like wearing this in the summer because its nice and light and conditions my lips. I like it enough to write a review which is saying something as I have way too many lipglosses but have only written a few lipgloss reviews. ; )

I am a huge fan of Stila Lip Glazes and found this color at my CCO. On me it is a more pink version of the Plum Lip Glaze with more shimmer. Gorgeous color. Unfortunate that it was a limited edition.

Wow - i just got this from ebay and am so glad i did! It is a gorgeous light pinky/brown/sparkly gloss (which i usually dont like) but it ends up making my lips look lovely, soft and ultra glossy.
And i DO feel that tingle - my lips do look fuller.
Would love to buy again if i can find it.

I love Stila lipglazes, but hate the price. I got a couple with the last 40% off sale, so it didn't hurt as much to purchase at $12! I am sad because I love this color and think that it was a limited edition. My former favorite lipglaze, creme bouquet, was also an LE.. Enough of my crying, it is a neutral shimmery rose color that would go with about any look. If I had known how much I was going to like the color, I would have purchased more at that price. If you can still find one of these for sale, I would recommend buying it!

This is one of those great everyday shades. A pinky-brown with a nice amount of shimmer. Love the scent as well. The new packaging is great. Pens are fatter and you get more product.

I wanted to like this lip gloss, but I just don't. The smell and flavor are decent, but there it has very little pigment. I used one reviewer's suggestion to layer over strawberry fatbalm and liked the results, but much cheaper lip glosses could've achieved the same effect! And that clicking action drives me nuts...I either get way too much or not nearly enough. The brush is nice, but I much prefer Armani lip shimmers. I don't think I'll go back to Stila lipglazes, as tempting as they appear.

I love this shade! Perfect pinky/rose colour with shimmer that doesn't leave you with awful "glitter lips". It's my new going out at night shade.

I was so excited about Amaretto, until I tried it. Amaretto is all sparkle. No color. It's weird because I expected a rosy pink but just wound up with multi-colored shimmer. And I'm PPP! I need color. This is not a favorite.

Its a lovely pink coloured gloss. I must confess though, I bought it because I hoped it would smell like Amaretto (my fave liquor) only to be terribly disappointed by the faint choco-nut smell :(
Its a nice gloss though, just a disappointment to me.

So glad I tried this because I thought it would be similar to other lip glazes, but it's a must. The smell is divine, the most delicious Amaretto/choc nut smell. The colour is gorgeous, a hint of rosy pink with tiny tiny sparkles - and I'm not someone that likes sparkles but this is enough to look really interesting. Must get another!

The color of this lipglaze is just lovely. A neutral, shimmery rose that would flatter nearly every complexion. Unfortunately, I find the nutty chocolate scent disgusting. Like all the stila lipglazes, the scent fades quickly. The staying power is good, even a little better than the other lipglazes I've used.
C25, neutral brown hair and eyes
