I know you're like "15$ for a beige eyeshadow" and I'm sure you can get a similar color for cheaper- but i will say this color is a must have. Not the Mac shadow itself but the shade from any brand I guess would do. It's a great highlight or all over lid color and you just have to try it to truly appreciate it. It lights up the face and just rounds out your look. Love love love!

This is one of the very first MAC eyeshadows that I purchased. Of course it was recommended by the M/A that was helping me. I love this color and have purchased it at least 10 times since the first one.
It is great to apply over your lid primer since it is so neutral and has no shimmer. I also use it as a highlighter near by brow.
It is a must have for any make up collection!

Brulé is great for an overall wash of color on the lid. Its matte and there's no shimmer. Also nice for brow highlight. Love the pro pan because it stores easily in my palettes.

I like this eyeshadow alot, it is not exactly the color of my skin, but it's still a good neutral, matte lid color. It's very good for a natural eye look, however, it isn't that unique, and there are more affordable eyeshadows that could do the exact same thing.

I'm not excited with this eyeshadow! Sure it is a great base for me... because I'm very pale but I don't like its texture at all... like I'm putting regular dust on my eyelids... I don't know... maybe it's my own eyeshadow....

I think this is a lovely base colour for very pale skin. It works well with or without a primer in my case as i do not have oily lids. Im sure on someone who has a deeper skin tone than me it would work well as a highlighter. I found it highly pigmented and easy to apply. It tends to become a little chalky after a couple of hours but i think this is more because of my very dry skin than the eyeshadow itself. Although a little more pricey than drugstore eyeshadows, i really like this one.

This is the best highlighting shade I have ever used. I have pretty fair skin and this color is like my skin color but ten times better and creamier. It's a perfect brow bone highlight or is perfect all over painterly paint pot and a soft brown in the crease with thin liner and mascara. The finish is satin so it is not quite matte but it definitely is not shimmery or glittery which is perfect. I pack this shadow every time I go out of town or spending the night at a friends. I would recommend this to anyone with fair skin as I use it every single day I wear make up with out a fail.

Received in a swap, this really doesn't show up on my NW20 skin at all. I do use it as a base, but won't repurchase. It takes some work to get product, but I guess that is a common problem with MAC's matte shades. For the cost, there are much better shadows out there.

I don't wear MAC foundation, but NC42 is my shade. For years I used Naked Lunch as the lighter shade under the brow. Then the other day I fooled around with some app that reproduces what looks to be the blank MAC...face map? Face outline? Anyway, I fooled around with a lot of the MAC shadows on it and Brule looked promising. Now that I have the shadow on my eyelid, I cannot believe how perfect this shade is for my coloring. Will make an excellent neutral (Naked Lunch is definitely rosier shade) and key component to "nude eye."

This color isn't really light enough on me to use as a highlighter, but I do like it as a nice neutral base for the rest of my eyeshadow. Fallout is minimal and it's matte, so work-appropriate. I would probably repurchase.

Brule is a nice neutral to have. It's a true soft beige that I often use as a blending shade. Its uses, I think, depends on your skin color-- I don't use it all over the lid, because it's too similar to my skin color hence it doesn't really show up. I've heard of some really pale people using it for contouring and as an all-over-lid shade, which could work.
Tanned or dark-skinned people could use this as a highlight.
It is finely milled but it's not as soft as I would prefer it to be. All Satin and Matte finish MAC eyeshadows seem to be this way, but the color pay-off is good, at least.
So, all in all, I *might* repurchase--that is, if I ever even finish up this one refill pan--but I don't think I will, because it doesn't have enough uses for me, and its boring color unmotivates me.

I love this color, it is a gorgeous neutral beige that is perfect for all over the eyes, on top of Bare Study paint pot, as a browbone highlight. However, because I have found a cheaper alternative with WNW Brule, I can't go on and buy this basic color everytime all the time. But for someone who wisheS to buy neutrals from MAC, this is one to try.

Lovely basic neutral beigy-ivory that I use almost daily as a base. Have repurchased several times already.

This e/s is always on standby! Brule works as my highlight majority of the time, I like it for when I want a more skin toned look. Such a staple for low maintenance, fuss free e/s looks. I'm reaching for it more since I'm liking matte highlights much more these days. I would repuchase this shade for me it is almost a perfect match to my actual skin.

Mac Brule is a staple in my collection. It is a light, creamy neutral colour which matches my very light skin perfectly. I use this as an all over lid colour to even out my skin tone and it covers up the pigmentation in my skin quite nicely. I do have to layer twice though, ideally I'd like to do just one quick sweep. Wet N Wild Brulee is a good dupe for this if you're trying to save money, but after my experience it's worth it to me to spend a little bit extra and buy Mac. I use this shadow daily and will definitely repurchase when I'm finished.

it may looks like a blah color but i believe its a basic, natural shade, im nw 15-nw 20 and many light shades like naked lunch dont show up on my lids, but brule does. its perfect for a day time look combined with cork /wedge (my favourite combination) or other browns to create a subtle and beautiful day time look. i also own orb (which is a bit more peachy) and bisque (which is a bit more beige) but once they are applied on the lid, you cant really tell the difference -in comparison to brule. thus, although ive hit pan, i wont repurchase any time soon since i have these 2 similar shades.

I had my makeup done at MAC, and the lady told me all of the products she used on me. She had used Brule over my whole eye and as a highlighter, so i bought it. I use it every day for that purpose and as a base, and I love it! It's perfect for my skin color and blends perfectly. (:

I have bought and tried this multiple times, so I know it isn't that I just got a dud. It Is so chalky and barely even pigmented, definately not worth $15. It is too difficult to work with. If you need a good all over lid color or blending color, try wet n wild brulee at $3 instead.

This was my first MAC shadow. I was so excited to try it when I got home. When I tried it, I saw no pigmentation, no payoff, or any real product on my brush. I have this plastic like layer over the shadow. I cant get anything out of it! Im not sure why but all of MY Mac shadows have been this way. It may be just my store that has the bad ones, or maybe I got a bad batch, but I hate the one that I bought. EVERYONE raves about it and I wish that I could rave too.
