I have been using this night cream for the past 2 weeks. I see an improvement in my skin, I'm 47 and I see an overall smoother complexion. When I wake up My skin feels tighter and smoother. Crows feet are less noticeable. I was happily surprised with this night cream. There are mixed reviews and I read and appreciate them all, but I listen to the reviews in my age group for facial care.

I'm almost done with my 3rd tube of RoC, but haven't seen any difference. All I got was these skin-colored bumps on my forehead that first appeared after my first application of RoC. I was really patient in giving this product a try, but enough is enough. I have fine lines that I want to get rid of in between my brows and my laugh lines; so far I haven't seen even a slight change. When I look at my wrinkles in the mirror and stare long enough in between my brow area, my wrinkles seem to be improving (I'm sure my eyes were playing tricks on me), but it seems to come back the following day. I've read somewhere that there are people being paid to give good product reviews, so I'm sure that it was one of their reviews that I've read when I Googled RoC before buying it. Today was the 3rd day of just using a regular moisturizer and the bumps on my forehead started to disappear. Buyers be warned when reading product reviews, read all the "good" reviews, as well as the "bad" reviews and then decide. I've wasted almost $70 total on a product that doesn't work. Also read what the dermatologists say about over-the-counter wrinkle creams; they all say it doesn't work. Make use of Google and be informed in your decisions.

On the fence on this one.
PROS:
Didn't experience any skin purging or breakouts
Don't mind the scent - smells like France to me
Doesn't cost an arm and a leg
Recommended to me by some credible people - real-life people. People I talk to in my real life (as opposed to this virtual world here - not to say you aren't all lovely).
CONS:
Is this stuff doing anything?
*sigh*

I was already planning on posting a positive review of this product. I was going to write about how RoC has provided a slight improvement on the lines in my forehead only after a couple weeks' use. I was also going to write about how RoC had almost totally eliminated the crepe-y look of my sun-damaged decollete area in just a few nights. I was going to write about the superior opaque tube-style packaging that protects the product from light and dirty fingertips. I was going to mention the subtle, vanishing fragrance that does not overwhelm. I was going to say all of that, and then I GOT CARDED while buying wine. I should mention that I didn't have so much as a spot of makeup on my face. Not a whisper of powder...not a hint of lip gloss...NOTHING. Folks, I am so far beyond 21, it's not even funny. Bearing that in mind, I am giving RoC the highest rating possible and I will plan on using it for the foreseeable future.

This is by far the best night cream I've used. I've also been using Affirm 2x for my face but was too scared to use it under my eyes--this was a great solution. I'm 26 so I don't have wrinkles yet, but there are the beginnings of very fine lines (especially when I'm dehydrated). It hasn't faded them completely, but has made quite a noticeable difference. Even the natural folds under my eyes look more shallow--and I've had those since I was a child.
I've had the tube for almost 6 months now, and am not even close to finishing it ( I use it nightly).
It never dried out my skin or made my breakout. When I remember I also use it on my laugh lines and it makes them look much better too!
When I run out of the Affirm 2x, I'm going to buy a RoC cream for the rest of my face.

After reading reviews, I expected to break out during the purging period that usually comes with retinol products... However, I didn't break out at all.
I have been using this product for just under a month. At first I was afraid that my sensitive skin wouldn't be able to handle the retinol so I applied it only once every 3 days. Over the course of the month I found it was OK to apply daily as long as I used applied additional moisturizer.
The product spreads evenly so you don't need huge dollops and is packaged in foil to prevent retinol denaturing.
After almost 1 month of use I noticed that the tiny, skin coloured bumps on my forehead are virtually disappeared and there is an obvious glow to my skin tone! :) I have tried many other products to get rid of the bumps (not milia) but this was the only thing that made a difference.
I am in my early twenties and haven't been using this product for too long, so it is difficult for me to say whether its "anti-wrinkle" properties are effective or not. I have drier, sensitive skin so I don't use this product as a stand alone night cream.
Overall, I like this product and would definitely buy again. I originally purchased this from WINNERS - sort of spur of the moment. I'm glad I decided to try it and will likely buy again.

Usually when you use Retinol or Alpha Hydroxy products, there's a purging period, so mb that's what the other reviewers were experiencing.
I think my skin is fairly adaptable if I'm patient. This product showed a big difference when I first used it. It has been about a year now, and the progress has declined.
However, I am still very happy with the consistent result and have already recommended it to my roommate.

Absolutely LOVE this product! Definately recommend ... been using for a week and I am hooked. My skin feels tighter...softer...looks brighter...see a difference in fine lines for sure. I am a botox and restalyne user and tried this as i like to stretch my botox and am pretty shocked how well this works. I did not notice the smell that others complain about...however its a small tube so curious as to how long it will last. I was starting to go back to using a liquid foundation prior to using this product...but not any more ....less coverage needed now back to the mineral powder!

I love this product. It has been what I have been searching for! The price is amazing for the results. I even got two for $22 because I got mine at Costco.
SO what makes this product so amazing... let me list the ways;
*It took care of my fine lines
*It evened my complexion
*It lightened my previous sun damage
*It did not cause me to breakout
*It gives me a great glow
The only thing stopping me from giving this amazing product 5 stars is that it comes in a tub. I mean serioulsy I like to lay my night cream on and I wish this would come in a jar. Otherwise this is amazing! Would totally recommend to friends.

I don't have any major skin issues but I bought this to help maintain my complexion. It's sort of hard to gauge whether it's making a difference. I had good skin before, I have nice skin now. So for young women with nice skin, why not use a low dose of OTC retinol? In concept, great. I don't know if this cream is meant for young skin-- it is heavy, and the fact that it absorbs well belies its' capacity to clog pores. Young woman be warned-- in the quest for good skin, this one may clog your pores along the way! I only get clogged pores if I don't wash my face for a few days and a few applications (at nighttime, after a basic cleanser) of this emulated that "dirty-face" effect perfectly. I won't rebuy this product, but I will continue to use it once in a while. I know I won't get dramatic effects, but a little dose of skin boosting medicine never hurt.
Edit: This stuff made me break out. It's too heavy, even though my skin is pretty dry in my current living environment. I got bumps on my forehead that lasted at least a month, even after I discontinued this product. I started using a Neutrogena Deep Wrinkle cream and it's been three nights and the bumps have disappeared.

I am just putting everything on neutral at the moment.
After doing a bit of research, I have found out that it takes at least 6 weeks for the retin to visably deal with blackheads and whiteheads, and it takes 6 months to see visable, permenant results in the area of wrinkles.

I bought a two pack of this at Costco, and used both tubes without seeing the slightest change or improvement in my complexion. I'm underwhelmed, to say the least, and won't be repurchasing.

I really wanted to like this product. I have aging, sun damaged, dry skin with hormonal acne. Lucky me huh? I figured I would try it since my mid 40's skin has changed once again and nothing seems to be working for in skin care or make up. I used it foe 3 nights (along with the day cream 30 spf and the eye cream). My skin became very sensitive and extremely dry. Even water stung my skin while washing. I returned it to the store of purchase.

Been using this for the last two weeks and very happy with the results. Mostly happy that I dont wake up to a new patch of zits or an american oil reserve on my face. Dont have many wrinkles but do see some of the dullness giving away to a nice overall glow. Will buy as my HG night cream.

I love this stuff. I'm only 19, but I've read everywhere that this is the age when starting to use a basic retinol is the best. I wear this as a night time moisturizer and I love the way this stuff makes my face feel and look. My skin is so much smoother and leaves it glowing. You can find this at any drugstore. I will repurchase.

I really wanted to like this product. I had been looking for an inexpensive retinol product to use at night to help fight off the ravages of sun damage and time. I don't have a lot of wrinkles or spots, but my derm suggested I start using retinols now that I am in my early 30s. This one looked great - had retinol listed high up on the ingredients list and the rest seemed fine. I tried it the first night and immediately noticed the VERY strong fragrance. I checked the package and saw fragrance as the last list on the ingredients list. DAMN!! I dont do well with anything with added fragrance but I was hopeful. I woke up looking fine - no remarkable changes but after one application, I didnt expect anything - but I had a terrible sinus headache and it just wouldnt go away. I couldnt figure out what could have caused it becuase I wasnt outside much the day before. That night, when I put this stuff on again, the smell immediately sparked off another terrible headache and I had to wash the stuff off because I couldnt stand the smell after a few minutes.
I wish I could have used this tube up to see if it would work for me, but I guess I'll be putting it on my swap list instead. I'm going to go back to fragrance free Neutrogena Anti-Wrinkle instead.

Ugh....was wanting a retinol product for my lines, and thought I'd take Roc's '12 week challenge'. Everywhere I put this cream, I broke out awfully in one week, and got clogged pores. SUCH a bummer. Even though the product says oil free, it does have shea butter in it, which I've had reactions (zits) to before, so maybe that's it. The search goes on!

This product is truly THE WORKS! AMAZING! Never expected such incredible results with a retinol product, never believed retinol could be so good for the skin! I believe you really can look 10 years younger with regular use of retinol as the ad promises. Tried it out just fer the heck of it, to see what all the fuss about retinol was about. Well I'm really sold on it now, this product here is nicknamed The Illuminator and it really does give you the most healthy radiant luminous skin around. I didn't really have dry or dull skin before, but this product has just made it so luminous and glowy and look healthy and like I put on a dewy or glowy foundation. Of course it also makes skin feel and look so soft and smooth too. Can't say anything about wrinkle reduction or anti-aging though as I don't have any wrinkles, didn't notice that it gave me any smaller pores though but you'd probably need a porcelain mask to make me look like I have smaller pores anyways. I only use it every other night because once I used it 2 nights in a row and I got really red skin like I'd been out in the sun and wondered why I had the lobster look, then I thought it was probably the retinol. So I use it every other night and works great for me! I always look forward to my *retinol nights* cause I know I'll look especially radiant and well-rested the next day. By the way I think this is what we call here in Europe Retin-Ox. Next I think I'll try Eluage when I run out of Retin-Ox just for the comparison.

This is a highly effective product for a drugstore brand. I was contemplating going back to the dermatologist to get a prescription for Renova, which is also very effective, but $$$. Since using the RoC product, my skin tone has improved and my pores are less noticeable. I did use it for several weeks before I noticed significant results. Although MUA has this listed as a "moisturizer," I consider it more of a treatment. It acts as an exfoliator, and I do use a moisturizer in addition to this. Overall, this is excellent and I highly recommend it if you are looking for a smoother complexion.
