i was really disappointed with this! my mom bought this the other day off hsn and i thought id test it out first off the eyeshadow are VERY sprakley im talking chunks of sparkle here except for one yellow color and not very pigmented although i do have to say the black one is very nice and they yellow one is nice too. the other arent horrible just idk. the highlighter is hard to but on! the hightlighter is pretty i have to say kinda hard to get one the blush goes on easy but its too dark for me because im very fair but thats nothing to complaine about not there fault lastely the lips barely show up even when i use a brush! :( im so sad i thought this would be good NOT worth 60 bucks! i do have to say the mirro on it is really nice and big and the packagin is cute.

By popular demand and with the help of a calculator, I -- the resident NARS cheerleader -- will explain why NARS' Artist Palettes are a wonderful, fabulous, all-around great deal. I'm referring to the palettes that contain four eyeshadows, one to two blushes, and a combination of four lipsticks or lipglosses.
To break it down for the cost-conscious among us: Each paletted eyeshadow is 1 gram, compared to the $18, 2.2 gram full size. Therefore, the palette has about $33 worth of e/s (4 x $8.18 = $32.73).
Each of the four lipstick pans has about 21% of the product in a full size ($22). So combined, there is $18.30 in lipstick. Palettes containing lip lacquers contain less than 18% of a full-size, so you get ever so slightly less bang for your buck, but it's pretty negligible.
The blushes are just about full size -- 4.25 grams compared to 4.5 grams of the $22.50 full-size. Laguna in the Barneys palette is definitely smaller than its retail cousin but the pan contains about $18 worth. The palettes with the Multiples are the worst deal with about $10.50 of product in the pan (4.25 grams compared with 14.2 grams in the $35 full-size).
So, depending on which palette you go with, it's up to $100 worth of products when you do the math! And considering not only of these palettes goes for more than $70 retail, it's fantastic any way you slice it. :)
