edit: This is probably my most used lipstick for summer. Stunning lipstick, especially with any sort of lip liner.. whether it's a plum lipliner, nude, pink, whatever. It will stand out so much and look beautiful. I get a lot of compliments on this.
-----
First off if you like O lipstick, you will like this.
While O is darker, this is light, a good nude colour. SA said this looks good with a darker lip liner like brown all over, beneath it. I didn't try that but on my naturally pigmented almost red lips, this looks pretty n sophisticated. It is worth every penny because it is a pinky-nude that is complex and layers well to transform another lipstick if you so desire.

I like to wear plastique over Mac's Bronze shimmer when I want to add a little more of a pinkish hue to bronze shimmer (I have fair, warm, yellow hued skin with red hair). Then I add a dab of Mac Oh Baby lipglass or Lustreglass in Beaux finish it off. If I really want more pinkish undertones, then I skip the bronze shimmer and just add Oh Baby lipglass or Lustreglass in Beaux on top of the plastique. That really gives plastique the extra something that it needs.

I also start off with clinique's long last soft shine matte lipstick in sugar bean so I have a "base" lipstick in a neutral brown perfect for layering and keeping my lipstick on even through meals.

This is one of my FAVORITE MAC l/s & the first one I bought back in 1997. I remember coz I wore it for a friends wedding. Im NC42'ish and it looks great on my skin tone. I wear it with MAC Chestnut l/l or anything lighter than that. I still get as much compliments when i first wore it and at this time. Gorgeous color! Love Love Love this one & its one of my HG of lipstick!

My very first MAC lipstick. I love the peachy lustre reflection which saves it from being just another blah nude. This is a very versatile color, as there are some bronzey relections as well.

I hope this one never gets continued, but I doubt it will. It has been going strong since the inception of MAC, so there must be lots of ladies out there who agree with me!

(I have blonde hair/blue eyes. Some warmer colors are too orange. This has just the right dash of pinky/peach)

I would like this product if it weren't for the frost finish. I just cannot wear MAC's frost lipsticks. They look terrible on me! The glitter always looks so trashy, and it sinks into the cracks of my lips and looks totally stupid. It would be nice if the glitter was more subtle. Otherwise, the color of this lipstick is nice. A little too dark to look natural.

This Mac Plastique is my favorite neutral to coordinate with a lot of busy-ness in the eye area. It is silvery, bronzey, peachy, and hard to describe. I love it. I cover it with Mac's lustreglass called Sinnamon to give it lots of shine! It works for me!

Mac Plastique is a frost. I’ve read online that a MAC's frost finish is “A shimmery frosted finish” . Plastique is a pretty peach with silver shimmer. On my lips it looked like a frosty peach/brown – pretty but it left me with that "meh" feeling so I won’t repurchase once that I’ve used this one up.

On my NC20 skin (light-yellow shade), Plastique seemed to wash me out... BIG TIME. It was way too frosty, way too bronzy/dark, and it greyed my lips. I look sickly and at the same time cheap-looking. No matter how I tried, it won't work on me. This was my very first MAC purchase 4 years ago, and I remembered how disappointed I was back then. Now I have plenty of other MAC lipsticks, but I still consider this my worst one ever. Oh how I envy the ladies below who really loved this lipstick...

This was one of my first MAC lipsticks and is still one of my favorites. Looks like it would be too frosty, but it shows up very neutral and pretty on my lips. My go-to shade if I can't decide what to use for the day.

One of the coolest MAC lipstick. My very first one. Gives nice glowing bronzy color to lips, but it doesn't make them look dead, dirty or anything. Perfect for any season and occasion.

I bought Frenzy and the same time as Plastique but I actually prefer Plastique. I find it more subtle, as frenzy picks up too much gold on my lips.
Great formulation and am very happy with it. Would definately buy again because it is so unusual!

Oh MAC Plastique how I love thee!! This is my go-to no brainer lipstick that I can pair with any type of makeup without having to put alot of thought into it. I hate the overly trashy frosty kind of lipsticks .. but while Plastique is a frost .. it doesn't have that overly frosty look about it. What I love about this is that it can go warm or cool depending on what lipliner I pair it with. I have over 150 MAC lippies, but this is one of the few that I've actually finished off and had to replace. I hope MAC never discontinues this one!

Super versatile lipstick that you can alter with lipliner or gloss!!

One of my favorite mac lipsticks, and for some reason it doesn't dry out like my other ones do.....

thumbs up for plastique!!!

Plastique is a frost lipstick from MAC that is a rose/brown/shimmery (more rose than brown) neutral toned lipstick. It is such a beautiful neutral and looks lovely with Spice lip liner. Nice with brown eye shadow looks. Has a pearlescent quality to it. Could wear it with a more rose colored liner to bring out the rose color. This color is one I've been purchasing for years and it will always be a go-to shade for me. Lovely scent (light vanilla), great staying power, complex color, neutral and perfect for anything. Will continue to repurchase.

Nice nude color. I was a little disappointed when I saw it in the tube, but when I put it on, I was much more pleased. This is one of the nicer nudes I have tried. Just enough color for me to not look just like my own lips, and it's also not too brown. It is a frost, but it isn't overly frosty like some can be. Would definitely purchase this again.

Probably the only nude lipstick I can wear without making me look washed out. I'm a NC30 and every beige or pinky-brown YLBB that works well on everyone else, doesn't seem to work on me. :( But thanks to the frost in this lipstick, it gives it a little kick. Yet, it still looks natural. Definitely using this with my next smokey-eye look. :)

A friend told me about this color after I admired her l/s. Plastique is a frosty (but not too frosty) long-lasting pinky-beige color. It works well for warm skin tones, but I'm not sure it would look as good on those with cool undertones.

I LOVE this color. It is not too frosty or brown on me at all. I consider it a medium shade for sure- I never wear dark colors. On me, there is no pink or rose showing through, only a coppery brown color. Again, if it was too brown I would never wear it. The thing about this lipstick is that it will look very different with different liners and glosses. I wear mine with a medium nude liner and it really makes it stand out. It is such a gorgeous color. I am glad I gave it a chance. The first time I wore it, I paired it with a liner that was too light and too pinkish and it looked awful. Now I love it. I also should add that I use with a primer which takes away a bit of the frost on me. I am fair skinned with light brown hair and green eyes. The lip primer takes away any pigment in my lips, and this lipstick still looks amazing.

This is my HG nude! As a DDD/NC50 i tend to stay away from frosty lipsticks because they tend to make my lips look ashy. This one has turned me into a believer though.

Like some other reviewers, I found this to be too warm and too frosty. The color is a deep brown berry with copper shimmer. The formula is typical of MAC; not moisturizing, but not drying, and with decent lasting power. I would recommend this to those with warm coloring, but it's just not a winner for me.
UPDATE: My coloring seems to have warmed up just enough to make Plastique look much more flattering on me. It really brings together slightly smoky eyes and dusty rose cheeks into a natural and polished look.
