This mascara is pretty good at adding a bit of volume if you already have long lashes. (It also adds length, but not too much.) I don't like curved brushes, but I can deal with it. One downside to it is that it clumps a little. Otherwise, it's a great mascara for about $4. :)
Edit: After using this for a little while, it's more of a meh mascara for me. Your lashes are definitely more noticeable, but it clumps and washes off very easily, so don't go in water with this on! I prefer NYC's Instant Lash mascara to this one. It's a better mascara for $3 less.

I don't know what I was thinking...I mean honestly. I have this guilty pleasure of buying a mascara every time I go to a drug store and considering how cheap this one was, I saw that the reviews weren't too bad so I gave it a try. I even left the wand out over night to get the best results possible and this is what I got:

PROS:
Doesn't clump
Wand is perfect size and shape for my small eyes
Cheap, very affordable
Easy to find, always in stock
Black color
Does OK job of lengthening for a low-end one
No flaking
Easy to remove

CONS:
DOES NOT HOLD A CURL!!! MAJOR DROOPAGE
Stiff lashes
No volume
Very wet formula
Makes my lashes look like skinny/STRAIGHT down spikes...not attractive at all

Mascaras are a product that I think really depend on what sort of eyelashes you have and what you are trying to achieve. For myself, my eyelashes naturally curl and are longish so I want to give them more volume and make them longer. I want them to fan out and not look spidery or clumpy at all, basically I want it to look like maybe I'm wearing false lashes. This gives me pretty good length but almost no volume, I like it after I put on one or 2 coats but if I put on more than that my lashes start to look weird. I like the brush a lot because I always have an issue with mascara getting on my eyelid but it doesn't give me the desired results. All in all I'd say if you are looking for a nice mascara without any drama this is a pretty good product.

I love love love love love this mascara!! It literally does wonders for my lashes. I normally watch youtuber, Meganheartsmakeup, so when I saw that she loved this, I really wanted to try it out. After I bought it, I quick opened it up and plopped it onto my lashes. The color that I got was called Very Black. I love to get very black because it makes your lashes stand out. The mascara alone curled my lashes a bit, but when I used my revlon eyelash curler (My curler can be applied before and after mascara application! Please DO NOT use an eyelash curler after putting mascara on, unless it is intended for that type of use. You WILL rip your eyelashes out. Trust me, I know from experience!) my eyelashes looked amazing. There were ZERO clumps, and My lashes looked full and beautiful. I will be re-purchasing this product! I LOVE IT!

I really like this mascara! I got this in the very black color, which is similar to one of my favorite mascaras, Loreal's Volumious in carbon black. These are the only two mascaras I have been able to find that are really jet, ebony black that make my lashes stand out. With three or four coats of this used with an eyelash curler. . . WOW! Va va Voom. It really does curl my lashes and doesn't clump. This is much better that Benefit's Bad Gal Lash mascara which I compared this to since I had a mini tube of Bad Gal lash sitting around that I didn't wear that much and this one wins, hands down. I have tried the regular Maybelline Great Lash mascara which didn't thrill me enough to repurchase, but I am loving this one. And who doesn't love the great price? Will repurchase!

My eyelashes never seem to want to curl, but this mascara helps them curl and lengthen to their full potential! I cry a lot (thanks to teenage hormones lol) and even though this isn't a waterproof formula, it never budges! Gives me thick, long, coal-black lashes.

This mascara is very black thats the best thing about it which makes your eyelashes stand out. Oxygen does help thicken the formula with time when it gets into the bottle i would say this mascara is great for separation an length in order for you to have the volume you would need to really build it up an it can be, but you have to be willing to work it up and if you have no time or patience then skip this mascara. This mascara was used by every female in my family dating back to the 1960's seems it was a staple mascara and back then woman didn't have as many choices as we do today and they were happy with it! When ever i have seen old 70s pic of woman with long lashes most were using greatlash. This mascara is best used alone without much eye makeup because the lashes will stand out like crazy and get attention. I love it.

I think Great Lash changed its formula/brush because this was always my go to mascara. However, I bought this in blackest black with the curved brush and I'm VERY disappointed! I have to put 5 coats on to notice any color on my lashes! Not enough product deposits on the brush! The only thing I liked about this mascara was the price & the dark black color!

This is God's gift to people with long lashes. The brush is not huge which makes it super easy to handle and it actually curls. There's no more need for the creepy eye lash curler anymore. I am a die-hard department store makeup girl, Maybelline will not cut it for my skin but there's NO way I would be spending any $$ for a MAC or Dior mascara after my new found love for it.

I have tried lots of great lash products, and find myself liking them a lot. But, this has got to be my least favorite. It was very wet to begin with, and took forever to dry out a bit. It also smudged easily when I put it in my bottom lashes. However, it did add length, volume and definition. It made my very blonde lashes look pretty long, and not all clumped together.
I think I might buy it again, if I'm in need of just a basic mascara. But instead of a 3, I'd give it a 3.5.

Its the second day and I've changed the way I see this mascara. it is great, didn't smudge today except for when I fell asleep. I think the trick is to curl your eyelashes using a heat setting first (don't burn yourself) then apply the mascara with a few coats, let it dry, then curl normally again :) it lasts until you remove it! it's still a little wet though.. had to use a few q tips.

I bought one for $5 at rite-aid during one of their sales. I picked up blackest black which has a rich pigment. I like how it leaves my lashes slightly glossy. It makes my eyes appear bigger; also makes me look more awake. The lashes still look natural, which is what I prefer. It applies smoothly when I run the bottle under hot water. It lasts all day and through late night dancing. If applied cold/room temp it clumps. I have very thin lashes and the formula feels like it weighs down each strand. I need to find a mascara that is meant for fine lashes. Until then, I'll stick with this brand.

I'm so torn on this! I love the way it looks on my lashes (seperated, subtle, and really beautiful), but it smudges pretty badly. I have really long lashes, and when I look up, they tend to hit my brow bone. Unfortunately, this mascara then leaves little black streaks under my eyebrows. Not a good look. Sigh.

...so to be honest, I only got this because my friend got it for free, hated it, then gave it to me :)
Personally, I think it's fine! I mean I kind of already have long eyelashes, that are of...average curliness? I guess? Haha, but anyways, I think it gets the job done! Personally, I'm not a big fan of the curved brush, and there are other mascaras that I know can do a better job, but hey! It's cheap and it works! I don't find that it clumps very much, and I think it looks pretty natural (not as in it doesn't do anything, as in it doesn't look fake or clumped up, which I like!) But with this review I must really say I've been told that I'm really good at putting on mascara, and that pretty much any crappy brands or products still look fine on me. X) (lol...my eyelashes are like one of my best features...it's a little sad..)
So bottom line, if all you're looking for is a quick and cheap mascara that won't clump up to much, it's great! :) But if you need some intensive aid with your eyelashes...maybe you should splurge...good luck!!
**MASCARA TIP** To avoid clumping, just wipe the brush (wand?) on a tissue lightly before you use it! Super simple!

This product does not help my lashes look curled or slightly curled or even a little bit curled. My lashes are average length and straight. This mascara only makes me look like i have 6 lashes and make them look spikey and bad. The formula is wet and takes a while to dry. I do like it under my Maybelline Falsies mascara but by itself noway. The price is not bad and the packaging is plain. Would not repurchase again though.

I want to LOVE the Great Lash mascaras...this is my third try and I just can't get into it! I have friends who swear by this stuff, and I just can't work out why. This went on clumpy on me, it was really messy, and the brush didn't fit my eyes well. It was just awkward all the way around. It also smudged with wear, which is a major party foul. I guess, as with all makeup, it works well for some and not for others. I'd use it if I had nothing else, but otherwise, forget about it.

I like this mascara. It's not perfect - it does clump a bit, which is annoying - but it definitely does the job of holding my curl and enhancing my eyes overall. The curved wand is really helpful in application, especially for eye makeup newbies like me, and catches a lot of lashes. I may go experiment with other mascaras now that I feel I know what I'm doing, but for a cheap, efficient solution, I'll probably keep this around just in case. :)

I keep a tube of Great Lash. I only like the one with the curved brush. It goes on without a bunch of gunk. I always use 2 different mascaras together, but Great Lash is always one of them.
