A gift from a very nice lady I got to know at a forum. This mascara didn't quite suit me. As with 2000 calorie by MF, it did nothing for me, only darken the lashes, no curl, volume or length. I wonder if its the brush, its got one of those brushes very common with volumizing mascara, more puffy at the top tapering off to the ends. Generally brushes of such nature do not work well for me. Won't be repurchasing.

First I want to say that I loveeee the packaging. It looks so beautiful! The mascara is quite good, but my False Lash Effect is better. Even though, i get beautiful lashes with this one, no clumpy lashes. And it's 100% waterproof (I have the waterproof version)

I love the brush and I love how it separates and lengthens my lashes. It also adds a little bit of volume to my lashes. What I rave about this product is that it stays true to its promise to lift your lashes. It's a great mascara and it's cheap. My lashes stay curled.

WoW! My DiorShow better watch out! I did a side-by-side of this and my HG dior and this is slightly better! Lifts lashes wonderfully and lengthens them like crazy. Brush finds every single lash. Some thickness added w/ extra coats. A little bit of transfer of color onto upper eyelid ...lashes look just the same as when applied this morning!...Removal w/ almay pads is very easy

THIS IS MY MASCARA I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING AT DRUG STORES AND I ALWAYS COME BACK TO THIS ONE. I HAVE LONG EYE LASHES BUT NOT A LOT SO I NEED MASCARA AND WITH LASH LIFT I DON'T NEED AN EYELASH CURLER THEY STAY CURLY ALL DAY AND I CONSTANTLY GET COMPLIMENTS, THE TUBE DRIES OUT PRETTY FAST BUT ITS CHEAP SO I CAN BUY ANOTHER ONE.

This brush tugged too hard on my lashes and I gave up in disgust after a few weeks which is surprising as I like most of CG's mascara brushes well enough. Rather suffer some clumps and use a lash comb than endure the tugging effect.

I was all set not to like this mascara based on the lackluster reviews, but it's a darn good mascara. I bought this at RiteAid over two years ago when they were still selling the MF brand. Anyway, i finally opened the blister pack and have been using this product for over two weeks, and no irritation problem (i wear contacts, too). It does a good job of lengthening my lashes and doesn't clump or smear. That's all I really care about. And unlike the new mascaras on the market right now (high and low end), I could not detect any weird smell. If this mascara is still available, I would buy more!

not the best from this line... i was disappointed.. lash perfection and 2000 calorie are much better..

my whole beef with this product, is that it clumped like crazy, and looked very flakey after it dried.. it didn't flake, but it looked like i took tiny flecks of mascara, and pasted it on to my lashes.. not recommended...

It used to be a mascara I enjoyed, but that was probably due to lack of experience. It does do a nice job in lifting up lashes, but the major problem for me was smudging, it's my issue due to oily complection. And I didn't like that it doesn't really give much, if any, volume to my lashes. Also I don't really like the design, I'd much rather have it black instead of blue.

My $0.02:

This mascara really does lift my lashes and makes it longer! The fat brush is rather effective at depositing just the right amount of mascara without making your lashes look clumpy. I personally prefer just one coat of this mascara for a really natural look :) This mascara does not smudge at all despite not being waterproof, which is another plus!

Which i don't really recommend... as you can see my lashes are starting to look quite spidery now...

Likes: It does lengthens my lashes by quite abit, not clumpy, smudgeproof
Gripes: It does smell rather funky...
Repurchase: Most likely no, as i would prefer one that would lengthen and volumize at the same time.

Rating: ! 3 Stars! It does what it says but that's just it!

After trying dozens of mascaras ranging from the cheapest drug store to the most over-priced dept store brands, I have found that this mascara works the best as far as keeping a curl to my lashes. I apply one coat for a daytime look and it stays on well, even after a sweaty work out. If I want a more dramatic look I apply 2 coats. Yes it can clump, but what mascara doesn't ?

I wear contacts and it has never irritated my eyes. It does add some volume, but does not lengthen lashes. If you don't have the time, or don't want to risk damaging your lashes with a curler, this is definitely worth a try.

FYI: this is being discontinued, fans best stock up!!

My sister bought this a while back and said she hated it, so I tried hers out once and was very impressed. It really lifted and curled my lashes - just like I had used a lash curler. So on that basis I bought it from an online retailer who was selling it cheaply. What came in the mail appeared to look totally authentic, however the product performed completely differently. It was dry and thick, hard to apply, clumped and certainly didnt give me that fabulous curl I was initially sucked in by. On the other hand, after further use my sister has since decided that she now loves and swears by this mascara. So perhaps I was just sold a dud that was past its use by date? In any event, with so many others on the market I'm not taking that chance again.

I am a mascara junkie - searching for new waterproof (can only use wp or else my lashes don't stay curled) is my favorite thing to do.
This mascara is surprisingly great. Makes them look thicker and longer. Better than most drug store mascaras. Will definitely buy again.

I expected much more out of this mascara. I feel like it is very flaky, and my eyes feel EXTREMELY irritated wearing it. It really is nothing special and has not worked for me.

I was genuinely surprised with the way this thickened, lengthened and curled up my upperlashes and yet didnt make the bottom lashes look like spider's legs. There was a special on in a local store "Buy 2 get one more for free" on Max Factor and I got this as the free one ( I already loved Masterpiece but like this even better)....can't do better than that!
I got it in black and it doesnt clump ( maybe a teeny bit but a quick flick through with a spooly brush solves that in a flash anyway) and it seemed similar to my Diorshow in performance... in fact better, for me it doesn't flake at all even after a long day and the curl lasts!
Good stuff! I often get a pleasant surprise with the performance of Max Factor products after being sucked into more cult name purchases.I shall be buying this one again for sure.

This product makes my eyes pop up-which is good.It does not clump my lashes together-good.But it irritates my eyes sometimes (i wear lenses), something my loreal double extend never does.And it takes forever to take it off.The price is reasonable.But I will not repurchase. It doesn't do anything for the volume or length. Somehow I like this less and less with each passing day. Disappointing.

This gives you the wide-awake eye look. The packaging and price are all good. The formula is a bit clumpy and flaky. This is not very special or awful; it's just okay all around and I would not repurchase.

I was out of my CG Volume Exact and was about to purchase another when I found this. I bought it because I really wanted to see if it would actually "lift" my lashes a little more. To my surprise, it does. I know I will continue to purchase this because I hate curling my lashes because some days it comes out just fine, but recently I've been failing to get it right because my lashes would look like fish-hooks. With this mascara, it adds the right amount of lift and the right amount of curl for me. This one just might win me over;)*4/16/07* Yes, this has replaced CG Volume Exact for me. It makes my lashes very lush and lifted and I will never use a lash curler again. Of course I'll try other mascaras because this is one product that I use every day, along with lipgloss or lipstick, but I will continue to purchase this because it is buildable and doesn't clump and stays fresh looking all day.

This mascara sounded like just what I was looking for, but I was wrong. My eyes always seem to look better to me before I apply mascara, because so many mascaras just make my lashes droop. This mascara is no exception. This stuff doesn't lift at all, and at the end of the day, my lashes are droopy again! At least this doesn't leave clumps, which is why I'm giving it two stars. It's not the worst mascara that I've ever tried, but it's certainly not the best either. My feeling is, if the mascara doesn't lift, don't advertise that it does. This was really disappointing.
