'Bark' is a really pretty pinkish-brown shade, just a bit darker than my natural lip colour so it's perfect for me as a 'my lips but better' shade, great for everyday wear and when I want to look natural but a bit more 'polished.'
The product goes on smoothly and I love the minty smell! I think it's more of a thick lip-gloss than a lipstick.

I do find the container flimsy (I've had 2 of these and one broke so I had to transfer the product to a pot). The other one is fine but I still feel the container's pretty delicate. Be extra gentle when twisting the bottom of the pen to dispense the product.

You don't get much of the product, but this is only £1.50 on the UK e.l.f web-site, so I'm OK with that. I find I don't need to use much anyway.

I have repurchased this and would again because despite the bad packaging, the product itself is lovely.

I must say, I quite fancy these e.l.f. Liquid Lipsticks. This one and Pink Lemonade just happen to be my favorites. Bark isn't too brown (which I feared it would be since the color drops on the website suck tremendously), but rather a perfect mauve-y nude shade for me. No pink undertones, no shimmer. It's rather sheer, but for me, it has just enough pigment so it can hold its own by itself, without a lipstick underneath. It gives my lips just a little bit of warm color (it's not pale at all), and I think this would look great on top of extremely pale lipsticks such as MAC's Myth, (which I don't have), but I've been using this and Victoria's Secret LE Lipstick in 'Instinct,' a said dupe for Myth. It's a great nude as well, and together, they really make a perfect lip combo. Lasts a surprisingly decent time (started fading after a little more than an hour on me), not too sticky, gives just the right amount of shine without being overly shiny. Smells refreshing too. AND it never settles into the lines of my lips after it's been on my lips for a while. It stays smooth and I was glad that it has a moisturizing feel to it.
On the downside, I hate the applicators and the packaging altogether on these, but seriously, it's the product inside that counts, and what's inside, I think is pretty darn good quality. This is my second tube of this shade, and I will definitely be purchasing at least five more of these and five more of Pink Lemonade with my next order.

Definitely the best lip product e.l.f. has to offer. I had bought 12 of these during their last sale. Bark is my to go color when I have zero time to figure out the lip color I want to wear for the day (I am extremely indecisive, ok?). It looks very natural on me and I just love the convenient packing. It can be a little confusing since there are a lot of other 'Bark' named lip products and the colors are totally different from each other. I personally have went through 6 of these babies. You can't tell me I don't love this. ; )

Will keep buying as long as they keep making. : )

I bought this today and I love it. I love everything about it, the color, the applicator tip and the packaging. You don't get much product but for the price, I can't complain.

This is like a brown version of the Baby lips liquid lipstick. It is a very sheer nude gloss. The texture is really nice, non-sticky and moisturizing. It gives your lips a really pretty glow. The staying power is ok but because of the spongy applicator it is really easy to reapply even without a mirror. It has a strong minty smell that I really like, but it's gone 10 minutes after application. I like the packaging as well, I have these luscious lipsticks in every color and I've never had any problems with them. I do wish there was a bit more product in each container.
Up till now I have given all the luscious lipsticks I've reviewed a 5 star rating but this one is a bit too sheer for my liking. Would repurchase though.

LOVES this color! Its a brownish mauve that works well with medium to tanned skin. I receive many compliments on this color because of the shine, beautiful color and texture and when asked what I'm wearing, I'm almost embarrassed to say who its by! LOL... Next time I'm ordering 10 of these. The only thing bad is the item is always out of stock.

Although there is very little product in these liquid lipsticks, I love this color! Not a huge fan of the applicator tip either, but otherwise a very nice choice.

I'm more of a lip balm girl and was looking for a nice nude lipstick. I've tried several different kinds of lipstick and always hated the heavy feel and gross taste. I also hadn't been able to find the right shade.

Lately, I've become somewhat of a makeup junkie, and E.L.F. sort of lets you go wild without breaking the bank. So, I purchased 2 shades (bark and brownie points) online to try them out. I am in love with the bark color. It's the perfect nude lip-color for me. The brownie points also looks great. I like the thickish moisturizing texture. I stays where i put it and does not taste like petroleum like some prestige lines i have tried. I still have a lip balm in every purse/pocket, but now I have more sophisticated lip colors to turn to.

I also picked up a stick in pink lemonade since at Target. They did not carry the bark color, so I will be ordering more soon. I noticed that some of the older reviews (~2005) hated the packaging. I have not had any problems with mine - I love the applicator. I do wish there was more product in the tube, but the price is right and I suppose you don't want it to hang around forever since old makeup is not good.

absolutely no pigmentation on the lips. thought it would be a nice nude shade but simply looks like a clear gloss on me.

Good non-glittery, non-sticky lipgloss. Well, not very sticky anyway - shouldn't get your hair stuck in it when it's windy. God I hate that.
This colour (Bark) is brilliant for me, as it's exactly the colour of my lips so looks very natural. It's a slightly mauve pinky brown neutral colour.
I like the sponge applicator and it smells nice and not too strong. You really don't get a lot of product in the tube, but it's appropriately cheap, and anyway I don't think I'd want to use a sponge-tipped gloss that I'd had for months - bacteria yuck. I'd rather buy a cheap gloss and replace more often, than keep one expensive gloss until it develops its own ecosystem.

Also, this is in no way a lipstick. It's a gloss. I have no idea why they've called it a lipstick.

The color is gorgeous. Love it. The sponge tip applicator is OK. It's not particularly long-wearing, but it doesn't dry out my lips as it wears off which is a plus. I wish the tube had a little more product in it, but for $1 I can't really complain.

Such a pretty gloss. My husband even commented on how nice it looked-and he never notices anything. And when I told him I got it on sale for less than a dollar-I think he liked it even more! Nice nude(bit of mauve) shade. Wish there was more product in the tube, but for the price, you really can't complain. I'll definitely order a few more w/ my next elf order. Nice minty taste too!

I love the Luscious Liquid Lipsticks and have all of the colors. Bark is a gorgeous, plum brown with lots of shine. It appears almost nude with no sparkles or shimmer. Not quite sure that this color works great with my coloring, but I like it for the evening with smokey brown eyes.

I ordered all of the colors for 50 cents (50% off coupon) each. The applicator is one of the things that I like best about this product and you cannot beat the price. One negative is that the tubes contain different amounts of product ~ some were almost full and others had less than an inch of product. I will buy Luscious Liquid Lipsticks again and order two Bark's the next time...

This is one of my overall favourite products from E.L.F. Not only is it a beautifully neutral shade, it feels lovely and smooth on my lips and has a really nice minty taste. And at such a cheap price, what more could you ask for?

However, there are some bad points to the gloss, in particular how little product you actually get in the tube. I would be willing to pay more if they came out with a larger version of this lipgloss, as I worry I'll run out after only 4 or 5 uses of the one I've bought! Also, if you're looking for a long-lasting gloss, this wouldn't be the best choice.

Extremely nice stuff for when you want nude lips! Just like baby lips this one makes my lips still look like my own lips but 10 times nicer. Baby lips is a more pinkbased nude though and this one is more brownbased. Both highly recomendable for a nice nude look!

what i don't like, however, is the extremely small amount you get. with every use you see the amount shrink. i think if you'd use this daily and reapply during the day this would last you a good week. also the sponge applicator (surprisingly handy!) sucks up some of the product, so you can't even use all the product... a real shame cause it's a great lipproduct! but for a dollar, i could live with it i guess.

I bought this because the scent was vanilla mint - I love vanilla mint anything. I wasn't too crazy about the color, it's deep brownish in the tube.
It's actually really nice on the lips, YLBB, comparable to MAC spirit or twig lipsticks. It's nice and moisturizing, and you can build the color.
The cheap packaging kinda sucks, but the reason I took off a lippie is because it doesn't smell like vanilla mint ; ( just smells faintly sweet.
For two bucks CA I don't regret it, but I won't repurchase.

I actually have this in Chai, andthey didn't have a review for that one, but I love this stuff. This is my first ELF product and I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was very surprised. It isn't that sticky, it has a nice gloss to it (that's basically what it is - a colored gloss). It's packaged like Stila lip gloss but without that much stickiness. The applicator is a bit strange, but I think I like it. The sponge tip is fairly soft and easily sweeps across lips. I love the smell too, actually smells like a vanilla chai latte :) it also lasts a good while, and doesn't dry out lips

Agree with everyone...color is great, nude pinkie brown...very natural, price can't be beat and the packaging blows. That being said, I carry this around with me all the time. You can't miss for a buck...
