This sunscreen didn't irritate my skin or clog my pores, but it did sting my eyes like all the other chemical sunscreens. This sunscreen is unstable and it made my melasma darker. I probably would have been better off not wearing sunscreen at all. The sun protection is a joke for sure. If you have very sensitive skin this is not for you (or for anyone b/c it is crap), but all the essential oils plus chemical filters can be very irritating.

Not sure if this is the right place for reviewing this..
I got a 30ml tube in a swap, and on the box there is the pommy-granny image.
It says 30 SFP and I thought , well, as all Murad stuff works wonders, this will be great as as s/ for my skin.
WRONG!!!!
It applied and it started burning... I thought "this ill go away in a few seconds" no way, it burned like crazy while I was continuing doing my face (foundation etc).
The stinging was increasing and I could not stand it.
I have to wash immedialtey my face and calm all the burning with fresh water. It was terrible. Had to put a cortisone based cream to stop all that itching (and I got lat to work, of course).
I will never do this again. I am probably allergic to Avobenzone (one of the ingredients) otr other stuff.
I am not sure if I will ever dare to use the s/s on my body...

I am impressed with this sunscreen. I didn't think anything would come close to my HG Ocean Potion, but this stuff is doing just that. I use SPF 30 everyday on my face even just sitting in the house in a sunlit room. With my OP I must reapply before going out, just to be sure, but with this one I don't have to reapply. I can apply it in the morning and off I go without another thought.
I've put it on at the crack of dawn, went to work, drove an hour home in the strong sunshine all without half a red face. I think this stuff makes my lines look softer, at least that's what I see in my mirror. I know that I look shiney at first, but it tends to go away and this stuff does not rub off, not even when I put a mask on at work.
The smell is gone quickly, not so with my OP, but that's ok for the summer, not ok for the winter (for me anyway) hence my reason to try out this sunscreen. I also read the reviews here. I think I will try this for the summer and I will have my husband use it too.
Our thing during the summer is riding and we do alot of it and we're in the sun all day and the products that I use must be able to withstand riding without alot of reapplying, (kind of hard to do while on the back of a motorcycle) if this one works then it's a keeper.
This tube will fit much better in my riding bag than my OP. That is a plus, it's waterproof, that's another plus, can be used all over the body, plus #3. I only use a little bit for my face, so I guess I won't need as much for my body as with my OP, another plus maybe.
It is however a tad bit expensive, but if it does well this summer on my many road trips and works well on my husband then I will repurchase even at the hefty price tag of $30. I gather that since this sunscreen is from a skin care line that it will do the job well at keeping me from turning into a broiled lobster, at least I am hoping it will. Keeping my fingers crossed so I don't feel guilty about the price....................
EDIT: I have not had such a good experience with this sunscreen. I kept reapplying this and still got burned. I can not afford to be burned. I put up with the greasy face. I am not happy with it. I have since switched sunscreens and I am now trying something else that is waterproof, sweatproof, rubproof, and windproof.

In terms of the overall quality of this product I would say it's average to above-average. I purchased it because it came in a small tube... about 1 oz (they sell a larger one as well) and it was only a few dollars. This makes it very easy to travel with and affordable. I also like the idea of a sunblock made by a skincare line because it caters to anti-aging in the ingredients. It smells fine to me, and I find it to be rather hydrating compared to other sunblocks I've used. And the SPF30 is just enough but not too much sunblock for the average skin type.

I've used this product for over 10 years. I have dry, leaning towards combo, sensitive older skin. I've always gotten compliments on my complexion. I, unfortunately didn't use it on my hands all these years and suddenly I noticed my hands look OLD, really old. . and my face still looks like it did 10 years ago other than one tiny line on my forhead. . and I'm 49.. HUGE difference. I'm now going to use this on my hands. . yes it's thick. . and it smells weird. . but this stuff , along with avoiding sunbathing, WORKS.

I received a sample of this and used it on my face; good thing it was just a sample, because I'd never buy it. It's greasy and irritated my skin, leaving it looking red and oily. ((I have sensitive, rosacea-prone, combination skin.)

Murad SPF smells gastly. I was out in the sun all day it did protect me but the smell make me want to hit the toliet pub. The smell was like burned lemons. I use the Murad line for my face and think is it exquisite. I do not like this SPF from Murad. It felt greasy.

Light lemony scent, non-greasy, non-balling and moisturizing. I use this on my face and it doesn't break me out. It isn't matte, so I apply powder over it. This is one of the only sunblocks that doesn't cause an Elmer's glue-like sticky mask for me. Edit: Stopped using this because the Avobenzone is not stabilized.

I bought this hoping that all the "extra" ingredients would have good effects on my skin, but it really just made me look very greasy. I wanted it to use just on my face, but it made me look like you could fry on egg on my face. It took over an hour to absorb, and even then it was still sticky. Probably a great sunscreen for body, but I'll keep looking for something else for face.

I love this product. I don't feel that it made my combination-oily skin feel any more greasy than normal. I used it on my face with absolutely no problem at all.

The reason I did not give this a 5 overall is because it broke out my face. It is very moisturizing, and the odor is tolerable. I will continue to use this on my arms, neck, etc.

I first tried this about three years ago on my quest to find a good quality, mild, light and waterproof facial sunblock. The packaging has changed, but it is the same great formula. It feels heavy to the touch, but spreads very easily and doesn't leave that oh so awful white, papery look to the skin. I also like the very faint smell of oranges in this formula. Good stuff!

one tube got me and my husband through a week in the tropics. used it on my face with no breakouts, greasiness, but no breakouts. and the only place that got burnt were the backs of my knees because i'd missed a spot! very good, water-resistant sunscreen with an unobtrusive smell. like it better than PC and neutrogena.
