This smells really good in the (plastic) bag it is delivered in. It smells really good when you first put it into the bath water. (like you've just sliced into a fresh orange)
But then...
something happens...
the freshness fades and you're left with a stale smell. Something that doesn't go along with fresh citrus at all.
I just had my first bath with Lush's "Happy" bubble bar tonight, and to me, it is what Sicilian strives to be. It is fresh, orang-ey, and just very yummy. I will buy Happy again (happily) but Sicilian and I are destined to part ways, unfortunately...

Aww nostalgia, this bath bomb was precious bring it back! The colour and smell were one of a kind. Mandarin and orange and yellow marigold petals floating about in the tub. So decadent. I loved this and adored it in the summer before and after I went to italy...

Very nice and citrusy. It's like walking through a orange grove on a sunny day. I found it to be very similar to Karma, but without the patchouli.

I really liked this bath bomb, and I was awfully sorry when Lush announced that they were discontinuing it. The scent of the bomb is sweet orange, and it makes the water a very pale yellow. This is something of a quiet, unassuming bath bomb. It doesn't look as flashy as many of Lush's others, but it was very nice and refreshing, with its candied citrus scent.

This bath bomb smelled okay in the plastic bag, but it got weak once I put it in the tub. Unlike sunmonkey's experience, Sicilian did not turn the water bright yellow; there really was no colour at all. I also added a You've Been Mangoed bath melt, so at least my skin was moisturized. That wouldn't happen if I had used the Sicilian on its own.
I don't think I'll buy another of Lush's bath bombs because they're too plain, boring, and expensive. But I'm willing to try their bubble bars.

I really liked the tart citrusy smell of this but I found it didn't last long enough. Not as moisturizing as Blackberry, and nor did the smell last long on my skin. However, it is still a nice bath-time experience, especially if you are into citrus smells. This is more of an early morning wake-up bath experience than a long, indulgent night-time bath.

I tried this in a bath last night. I should really have listened to my nose when i picked it up in Lush on saturday because although im a huge fan of citrus scents there was something wrong with the fragrance. Anyway the sales assistant told me how lovely she thought it was and I reckoned on the smell changing a bit once it hit the water of my bathtub. And it did change - it became worse. The most cloying revolting smell imaginable PLUS it turned the water bright yellow like wee and the smell carried throughout my entire flat. I was almost dry retching as i pulled out the bath plug and then had to scrub the entire bath to get rid of the thing. Someone on here said they though it was like rotting oranges which is pretty spot on but in reality its even worse than that. Id never buy this again or have it anywhere near my bathroom.

The Sicilian smelled pretty nice in its packaging. It sort of had a sweet, creamy orange fragrance. The scent got much stronger while it fizzed away and was very reminiscent of orange soda with maybe a little bit of lime. I found it very refreshing. It also released dozens of marigold petals and one orange slice, all of which I thought were nice. However, as soon as it fizzed away, the smell dissapeared completely. It didn't change the color of my bath water and wasn't moisturizing or drying. The smell didn't linger at all, on my skin or in my bathroom, after my bath. I prefer much stronger scents from my bath products and will therefore not be purchasing this again.

Sniffing this straight out of the bag, it smelled like yummy oranges. But once it dissolved, I too could smell something I couldn't quite put my finger on until I read one of the comments here: rotting oranges! There was just a bad smell that ruined the bath...I mixed in some christmas cracker but the bath was pretty weak smelling anyways. I won't repurchase...I'll stick with my true love "dreamtime"

Yum. This bath bomb makes my skin smell SO good. It isn't too orangy, but instead has a light, lemon-lime sort of smell. The marigold petals floating around in my bath water were a nice, subtle finish to this soothing bath. I would definitely purchase this again. Too bad I have to leave the US to buy it though!

My favorite Bath Bomb. Smells great like orange juice with sprite, moisturizes extremely well. And has a fun orange slice that appears towards the end. Too bad it's so hard to find here in the states!

This was another Lush disappointment for me. The fragrance was very weak and only lasted for a couple minutes. Boring. I'll take Shu Uemura's Pleasure of Japanese Bath in Yuzu any day over the Sicilian.

The sicilian is a staple bath bomb for me. If you want to introduce a Lush version to the line, sicilan is a great introduction. Packed with (taken from LUSH's website) Orange (Citrus sinensis), Sweet Orange Oil, Perfume, Marigold Petals (Calendula officinalis), Gardenia Extract (Gardenia jasminoides). this bath bomb is sure to please even the most discerning bath conisseur.

This is a really yummy smelling bath bomb that releases marigold petals and a slice of orange. The smell is really citrusy and refreshing.

This was not one of my favorites, although I love orange. The scent was very faint, my skin was no softer and the fragrance did not linger. Plus the old slice of orange in it was gross to me. It also was sort as messy, but not as much as some. There are so many better bombs than this one, I would not buy this one again.
