Love this foundation. Unfortunately, its discontinued. I actually worked for shu uemura and somehow didn't start using this on myself until right after I left the company. I'm on my last bottle and after the craziness of the holidays, its time to go get samples in hopes of finding something I love a much as this. It doesnt break me out, and it goes on smooth. It isnt too matte and its not shiny. Why do they always mess with PERFECTION!?

A decent foundation that provides light to medium buildable coverage but in my opinion, a tad overpriced. I like that this foundation has a hygienic pump and that there is a vast color selection for Asian skintones but the formulation of the foundation leaves a tad to be desired for those of us that have blemish scars to cover. The Shu Uemura MUA matched me with a foundation that is two shades too light (I don't understand why there is such poor lighting at the station!) so I mix it with Mac's NC 30 foundation which is a little too orange for me. Will I repurchase? No--I need more coverage, but for those of you that don't have many scars I encourage you to try it! It's very light, fragrance free, and there is a great color selection.

I don't put a lot of makeup on, so it's ok for light use. I found it doesn't stick on for very long, maybe I have oily skin. Otherwise, it's pretty good. Matches my face colour pretty well. I'd look for a better foundation after this one.

I don't really love this. The color doesn't match me. It does feel beautiful against my skin but doesn' hold up well in a hot humid weather. I don't think I will repurchase this.

Excellent light coverage foundation. Does not cause breakouts!!!
However, it does not hold up on oily skin (my t-zone) but it's not bad in terms when compared to some liquid foundations.
It looks a lot more natural than the Face Architect but that may be due to the light coverage.

After years of wearing foundation of every kind you can imagine [cream, liquid, pressed, etc.] and from every brand you can think of [ chanel, dior, lancome, mac. shiseido, revlon, maybelline, vichy, estee lauder; just to name a few], i have found my HG foundation.

Firstly, this foundation did something that had never happened with my old foundations: it did not make me break out. I have had a major reduction in acne since using this foundation.
The consisitency of it is very natural, and not sticky; it looks very natural on your skin, as if you are wearing nothing at all. It did not give me a odd orange look, nor did it emphasis my pores and imperfections. The overall look is very au natural, and I feel comfortable going out with this stuff on my face! I don't feel insecure, as I did wearing other foundations.
The only let-down is that, since it is such a natual looking product, you have to layer and pat on extra on more problematic areas, and if you have big imperfections, such as a spot, you may consider using a dab of concealer on top of it, which is what i do, since the foundation will not cover it entirely. I do this, but it is no problem, since the rest of my face looks flawless anyways!

An absolute HG product; I highly recommend getting it tested on your jawline in order to see what exact shade you are [ I went throuhg about 5 before getting the perfect shade; the sales lady was absolutely amazing (@HR)]

My shade, for the record, is 575.

Go out and get this! You will be grateful that you did :)

I've been going back to this product for almost three years now. It is the only thing I've found that allows my skin to breathe, does not make me break out, and looks very natural. My cheeks are very sensitive and red so this completely evens out my skin tone. The only downfall I can think of is the price. However, I think it's definitely worth it.

I had mixed feelings about his one.. I have been using this for almost 6 months, here I go.. Briefly.. =]
1.) is NOT the source of pimple breakouts, your skin can breathe
2.) VERY matte, simple, professional
3.) sheer to medium coverage- meaning good for those with already flawless skin, just need to even out the colour. However, I find that i need MORE coverage.
4.) Evens out skin tone =]
5.) PUMP IS AMAZING. good control
6.) Price is too pricy, might as well buy it in ASIA, like i did :)

7.) WOULD repurchase, if it was less costly, ONLY because this does not provide good coverage.

I love this foundation. This is my second bottle and I've tried Prescriptives, YSL, Mac, Lancome, Clarins, Clinique, Shiseido, Dior.

The color is perfect and it goes on so smooth. You know when it's the "one" when you are glowing and look healthy. I'm Asian Chinese and use #554.

This is the foundation that I keep going back to. I tried bareMinerals, Benefit, Shiseido, Kanebo, and Lorac but Water Perfect won out. It's a perfect match color wise, is easy to apply and lasts all day. It's natural looking so if you have pigment spots then it's not heavy enough. I use it mostly to even out the red.

It is a good foundation in terms of application. I thought it dried out my skin. I think it works in a way it binds to the skin too much... like a lot of lipsticks. I didn't think it was a great foundation. And I just don't think it would be good for long term for the skin.

This foundation is so sheer that it won't help you much in the summertime, but I love it as a winter foundation. It's a lightweight that acts as a slightly more opaque tinted moisturizer and I use it to even the ruddiness in my cheeks and forehead out so that my face is a uniform shade equal to my neck.

Bought the "744" of this foundation, and finished with the Face Powder Matte, my skin looked so fresh and amazing and even glowing! I have an extremely sensitive (easily clogged and blemished) skin, and this foundation did not break me out. However, the coverage of this foundation is VERY SHEER, and I ended up spending too much time on the concealer. And since my skin is quite oily, this foundation literally almost melted off my face at the end of a hot/humid day. Really quite too bad..

The liquid foundation is sheer but you can layer more if you need more coverage. It is also watery when it first comes out of the bottle which makes it easy to apply evenly. After a while, the texture of the foundation does thicken but it should already be on your face by now! If you don't use loose powder over the liquid foundation, it probably won't last you through the day. I like the pump because it's easy to pump out exactly what you need but that leads to some wastage at the end. I still haven't figured out how to open the bottle! One bottle lasted me slightly more than 6 months; I used it daily. I'm going through my second bottle of foundation now! Expensive but good for my skin because it doesn't clog anything!

Beautiful finish - not too matte, not too dewy, just natural finish that's oh so slightly satiny. The shade 754 is perfection on me - one of the best matches I've seen (NC25/30, BB Beige). Like the pump a lot - very hygenic although the trade off is the wasted product. 1 lippie taken off for lasting power (I have combo skin, t-zone looks shiny by lunchtime, it's no big deal but Neutrogena holds off better) and no SPF.

Awesome foundation, except that its so light on your face, so if you have an acne problem than this product wouldn't be suitable for you or a super shiny forehead. I definitely recommend it otherwise because not only does the foundation feel and looks natural and sheer on your face, it doesn't feel too oily on your face, allowing your skin to breathe! I usually use color 764 and I have been using it for about 3 years! Snaps snaps for this wonderful foundation! =)

This perfectly matches the color of my face, is easy to apply, and has smooth application that lasts the whole day! I love this stuff - it doesn't sweat off and makes my skin look very matte and not greasy. It also minimizes imperfections and hides acne. The price, though - a little bit on the expensive side. Cute glass bottle. I bought this with the foam base for a total of $85 in Hawaii - is it more expensive there? Oh well - great product!
EDIT: Found the source of my suddenly-oily skin. Will not repurchase, even though I really like the color.

I thought the colour I got (5YR) was a little tan for my skin, but nevertheless, I thought the coverage was really good and I could apply it fine with my finger (don't let the salesperson persuade you into buying the sponge). With this foundation, I didn't even need to use concealer everyday.

Well firstly, I haven't bought this foundation yet. I'm still testing it out. But so far, I'm very impressed. I love how it provides a very natural sheer coverage and brightens my complexion....but it doesn't completely mask my post inflammatory hyperpigmentation from my acne...it just minimizes it which is a good thing. I don't want heavy make up look. Besides, on darker skin (for reference, I'm a black woman w/ medium brown skin w/ golden undertones), heavy makeup looks very very bad and obvious! The shade I'm testing out is the *exact* match (725). I've never experienced that with a liquid foundation!. It just disappears into my skin which is what foundation should do! Additionally, so far it hasn't changed colour on me, no orange and no ashy look. With regards to the oil control, I think it does an above average job. Even though shine broke through after around an hour, it wasn't a disgusting oil slick look...more dewy...The only downer is that my current powder which is Sue Devitt's Summer Monsoon shade doesn't seem to work on top of this foundation...it turned ashy. But that's ok, I found that the foundation alone does a slightly better job of controlling my shine. Also, the finish is great...nice semi matte, natural look unlike Bobbi Brown's oil free finish. BB's liquid foundation on me appears wet and shiny..not attractive at all. I'd need a powder to finish it off. I'm tempted to buy it even though I just ordered Becca's pressed powder and some samples from Jane Iredale, although none of my shipments have arrived yet..but I anticipate them sometime next week. I'll review them once they arrive. *UPDATE* After week, I stopped using this...this gives me no coverage as its tooo sheer. I've found a mineral makeup (CoverFX) that may be my HG as I actually got compliments on my skin and I viewed myself upon terrible artifical lighting conditions and my skin looked flawless! It also looked natural under overcast conditions. I'll have to see how the mineral makeup looks under bright sun conditions.

This is what I'd call a 'nice' foundation. Nothing outstanding, but nothing terribly wrong with it either.

It certainly feels very nice on - it's light in texture and light on the skin. None of that heavy, cakey business either. It does feel rather good when my skin is feeling that little bit dry - probably because of all the supposed water in the formulation. :-P

The coverage is medium, leaning towards the sheer side but buildable. Evens out skintone nicely without masking your entire face.

The finish is very natural - neither matte, nor stain, nor glowy. For those with an oily T-zone like me though, you will be blotting just as often as you would with any other foundation, so nothing special there.

A nice foundation, as I said, but not one that I'd be buying again. Something I reach for on the odd 'parched' skin day.

For reference, I'm a GA #4-4.5, Stila C/20-30 watts, Chanel #20, Dior #200, Becca Nude, Shiseido O20, Nars Fiji, Prescriptives Level 2, Jane Iredale Warm Silk with yellow-and-warm-butleaning-towards-neutral undertones.
