LOVE this! From looking at the reviews, this one's all over the place in the ratings, kind of a love/hate thing, and I think it's because it's so different.
First, there's the scent -- which I love -- but you should smell it first and make sure you do, too! Next, when you try it on, you'll see it's called translucent for a reason. It's not like any foundation I've ever tried (quite a few over the years!) It doesn't look like you're wearing makeup, it just looks like your skin has a smooth, Magic Hour glow. (Not shiny, and not dewy, and Definitely not cakey/powdery or sparkly but a healthy -- yes, translucent -- glow.)
What's not to like? Well, it doesn't cover a lot unless you mix it with something -- and then you can get the best of both, which is what my daughter does. (She mixes with a little light concealer, mostly because we got 01 (fair) which is my color but too dark for her.) At first, with my older skin, I didn't like it because of the lack of much coverage. But then after seeing how perfect and glowy she looked (ok, she's 16 but even her skin doesn't usually have that perfect glow!) I tried again! We both sometimes use it with the (watery) bronzer, to shade and sculpt. I used it with concealer. It looks good.
Why use it at all? It makes your skin look better. Unlike normal foundation, which hides but does NOT look like skin, this does, but better. The color isn't flat but has depth, and looks good in different lighting. Need more reasons? I figure you wear foundation possibly all day every day, and if you don't use primer and such, it may be the closest stuff to your skin, so it has the best chance of enhancing or ruining your skin. The Hauschka ingredients are from a natural care skin company and are actually good for your skin. (It does have some alcohol in this, which some people don't like but I'm ok with -- it does evaporate.)
Why am I going on so long? Because I feel like this makeup is misunderstood, which means there are probably a lot of women out there who might benefit if they want a different, glowy, real, non-makeupy look (and/or are willing to experiment with mixing.) I almost missed out on using this, and at my age, it's nice to put my best face forward:)

I use a stippling brush to dab in a dollup of this cream on the back of my hand and it applies flawlessly buy gently buffing it around. I had broken out from wearing Pur Minerals makeup to sleep one weekend (bad I know), and this started to clear up my skin after the first day of use. It does not make me oily, nor dry... just right. This is a God send to my ever troubled skin. I believe it is soon to be if not already, my HG foundation :-)

I really wanted to like this and had hopes of finding an organic or natural foundation. The coverage is okay, and the lightest shade was good for my fair skin. However, the formula is far too drying. My skin would feel itchy almost immediately after putting this on and by the end of the day my skin was dehydrated and dull. It was also very difficult to wash off. The cleanser (Eucerin) I had used to wash off my other foundations (Dermalogica) did not wash off this one. A strange waxy film was left on my skin. I had to triple-cleanse with oils + wash-off cleansers to get this off my skin. Also it broke me out. I tried this for every day for about 2 weeks but it did not work out for me. Now Im left with dehydrated, itchy skin that Im trying to heal with Bepanthen... Stay away from this foundation if you have sensitive, combo skin that is on the dry side.

After years of shopping around, I've settled on this as the best base I can find, and it is lovely. I love the texture and smell, the way it melts in to look like skin and doesn't emphasize pores or lines. It has medium coverage and causes no breakouts. It also is matte, more matte than powder mineral mu on me. I will stick to it.

I've been using this (shade 01) for many many years and still like it a lot... coverage is low to medium, so you'll need an extra concealer if you have strong redness or undereye circles. If you find a color that matches your skintone (not too dark!) it makes the skin look even without emphasizing wrinkles and it looks really NATURAL. The Dr. Hauschka liquid concealer pen is a great match to this product!

I did like how it looked, but I really felt it on my skin and didnt felt good. Later when I removed it all of a sudden I get these red big spot. I think my skin is to sensitive for this foundation. But if you have normal or oily skin this foubdation is very good

Yes, this is a sheer coverage foundation. I apply a pea sized amount with my fingers all over my face. It melts into my skin beautifully and somehow manages to smoothe over pores and broken capillaries without looking like obvious foundation. I add some more on trouble spots with a concealer brush, it covers quite well and I usually don't need a separate concealer. I use the color #00, which is perfect for my NC15 winter skin, light enough with a slight yellow tone. I've worn mineral makeup for eight years but recently I felt I needed and wanted a change. Since I use Dr. Hauschka's skincare (the cleansing milk and sometimes the cleansing cream, Quince moisturizer, Rose creme when I want a bit of extra glow) I thought I'd try their foundation as well. It took me a while to get used to the sheer coverage, but now I love it. I've also noticed that my skin has improved, it's a lot less dry and breakouts are far less frequent. Some mornings I actually skip foundation, which has been unheard of for me for the past 30 years! I have Dr. Hauschka's skincare to thank for that and especially their principle to not wear moisturizer at night – it's made a huge difference in my skin's texture. This foundation stays on really well, gives my skin a soft look and feel, it comes in a practical squeeze tube and is all natural. I think this might become HG material for me.

I've only had this for a few weeks, so I can't really comment on the longevity of this product. But I must say that I am not completely thrilled with my experience thus far.
.
When they say translucent, boy do they mean it. It is nice for evening out a bit of skin tone, but there is no blemish coverage whatsoever. And unless you already have a pretty even skin tone to begin with, don't expect miracles. It seems nicely nourishing to my skin, but I guess I was hoping for a bit more from a 35 euro foundation.
.
It is better in conjunction with the concealer, but there is another 20 euros. I don't mind paying a bit for a high-quality, natural product, but I think I probably won't be buying this again. If something magical happens in the next few months, I'll come back and update.
.
At least if it offered some sun protection, that would be something.
.
I think the thing with Dr. Hauschka is that their main focus is skin care. Which it ought to be. But for those who have not yet managed to get their skin under control, it may be better to invest in Hauschka's skin care products and not their cosmetics.

I purchased this and the concealer, knowing it may not be the most coverage offered in a foundation, hence the wording 'translucent'. I do have terrible skin.. but thought that a foundation such as this, with pure, healing ingredients, may just help my terrible face flesh to not be.. so terrible. So, I'm willing to deal with a few blemishes showing through in the mean-time. Not to mention, it looks very natural on. My boyfriend actually said 'you don't need to put your on make up today, your skin looks good!' Haha.. I'd already put it on. Sweet. So anyway, I found I got a much better result in applying the 'Dr Hauschka Toned day Cream' first (my moisturizer). With it I mix a bit of the foundation. Then, use the concealer, which is great. THEN (I have bad skin..) I dab on extra foundation where needed. I've been using it a mere few days and my skin is already more calm. It also has such a lovely scent. And the shade 00 is actually pale enough for me- a rariety. I definitely suggest :)

I have been breaking out badly with huge, painful zits all around my t-zone for the last two years, so am trying to minimize the amount of chemicals I put on my face. This was the first-ever cosmetic product I've purchased at Whole Foods. The $40 price tag was painful, but I felt it was worth it for being non-toxic and hopefully non-comedogenic.
It was a great match for my skin tone, goes on nicely - not shiny. But poor coverage of blemishes and migrates into wrinkles and folds and simply disappears over the course of the day. I have not broken out, and in fact my skin has cleared, two months since I started using this makeup. If the coverage was better, I'd definitely purchase again. But I think I'll try Gabriel or Zuzu first.

I am shocked that this isn't more highly rated. It is "Holy Grail" for me, I will never use anything else. I recently overhauled my entire routine, only using natural products. I am 23 and have pale olive skin, with freckles and uneven tone, marred by the occasional blemish. I bought shade 01 and it melts into my face flawlessly, brightening and smoothing but NEVER looking cakey or makeup-y, or changing into alarming colors under different lighting. It is has a finish that is neither too dewy nor too matte--perfectly polished, and if I run my fingers across my face, I am always amazed at how unbelievably smooth my skin feels. I would not call translucent makeup a foundation in the traditional sense. It seems to help my skin's health, heal breakouts, and protect from the elements. The $40 was well spent, after years of trying different options with less than satisfactory results (Boots lifting & firming, Laura Mercier, Kevyn Aucoin)...
I am an active girl, not fussy, but it has always been my dream to have consistently flawless skin from morning to night, without looking "made up" all the time. This product gives me hope that perfection may be attainable. Highest recommendation.

I love this foundation. It's one of the best that I've used. It's very light, but is effective at evening out my skin tone. The shades are maybe a little yellow, but it still works well with my skin color. I'm very pale, and I love that they make a shade light enough for me. It doesn't break my face out:) Also, this is a side perk: it has a really lovely scent.

I tend to think of this more as a tinted moisturizer because of how sheer it is. I use it on top of my day cream which is fairly thick and it gives a very healthy natural looking sheen. You cannot tell you are wearing makeup with this, instead it looks like you are well rested and have healthy skin. I use this for days I don't have to wear much makeup but still want to look nice for myself.
It has a rather strong smell like all the other Dr Hauschka products I have used, I always find them a bit strange at first, they seem almost off putting and then they just grow on me. The ingredient list for this is surprisingly short for a product so effective and comfortable to use. It melts easily on the skin and feels comfortable, I find the pigments are nice and fine so there isn't any settling in fine lines or anything. It doesn't seem very expensive to me, I've already repurchased it a couple times. Overall a great product.

I wish my t-zone wasn't so oily. This is too moisturising for me since I basically only apply foundation on my nose and around my eyes.
It gives a sheer, very natural coverage. Does not irritate skin.
I use this during the harshest winter months since it's the only time of the year that I'm not shiny on t-zone.
Pros
Looks natural.
Organic <3 Biodynamically grown ingredients <3
Cons
Not many shades to choose from.
Packaging lacks a pump.
Not for oily skin.

I've been using this for a little over a month now, and I really, really love it. I've been on this "find the perfect foundation" kick for about 6 month now and I have tried EVERYTHING. Usually I try to stick with natural/organic things if possible, but my foundation hunt has led me to Chanel, Lancome, my old standby Clinique, MAC, you name it.
I avoided trying this one for a long time because I haven't had the best luck with Dr. H. overall, but I finally caved in and bought this in shade 02, which turned out to be a PERFECT match for my slightly cool toned, fairly light skin. I like the tube, its easy to use and will be easy to travel with as well. The makeup goes on easily and doesn't just sit on top of my skin like I felt some other foundations have (Chanel!!). A little bit covers my whole face. It IS called Translucent Makeup for a reason - don't buy this expecting a ton of coverage! For me, the coverage is perfect, just a little bit more than a tinted moisturizer. Even everything out and looks natural, not too matte but not so "dewy" it looks greasy. It has that Dr. H. sort of cinnamon smell, but that fades quickly and I actually find it pleasant. It seemed expensive when I bought it, but really, I've paid a LOT more for foundations that I ended up hating. For the quality of the ingredients, amount I use, and how much I love this stuff, I now have no problem with the price.
I think I finally found the perfect foundation for me!

This is a nice light foundation suitable for hot weather. I like the way it makes my skin feel. I used Dr. Hauschka Rose Cream under it and that helped blend it without looking too oily. I have a hard time matching my skin tone due to its light olive undertones. The color I used matched well enough and provided realistic coverage. My skin is fairly sensitive and this did not cause breakouts.

First up I have only tried this in a store, so please look at yourself as I have not properly tried and tested this Make-up.
Having read great reviews, actively searching for a super pale tinted moistureiser of light foundation I took a 3 hour round trip to look at with the intention of buying this product. "00" Is light and if you are super pale then please do consider it. The problem I found was that when I tested on my cheek it just sat there and I couldnot blend in at all; I simply moved the product around on my face. It was really really wierd. Thinking this odd I tried one of the other colours - not for a colour match but for the product; same issue. I then tested 00 on my hand and had the same issue; it did not blend in at all, simply sat on top of my skin. Really really strange!
I hope it works for you.

I have this in 00 since I am super pale. I like it because it is not too heavy, not too light...just right for smoothing my skin. If you have blemishes or dark circles, you definitely need a concealer. Overall, I like this because it feels like I'm wearing nothing. I don't wear makeup every day, so I hate the feeling that some foundations leave on my skin.

Nasty stuff and I love Dr. Hauschka, but this is horrible, watery junk that gives little to no coverage and is extremely drying. Second ingredient is alcohol and left my skin tight, dry, itchy and parched. Yuck! Hard to believe such a horrible product from such a terrific skin care line. I'll stick to my Lancome foundation but put it on top of Dr. Hauschka face creams. Using this combo, my face has never looked better.

I have recently started using Dr Hauschka skin care products and really love them. So it seems silly to have an all natural skin care routine and then plaster the face with paraben and silicone laced foundation. Naturally I decided to try out the Dr Hauschka Translucent Make-up and I had such high hopes for this. Unfortunately it did not work for me at all. I have combination skin. Oily T-zone with large pores on and around my nose and dry everywhere else with fine lines. The foundation is very different to what I was used to, a lot thicker and doesn't go on as easily. I ended up mixing it in with some of my moisteriser, which worked much better. At first all is well. However after a little while it settles in the fine lines around my eyes and mouth and also settles in the pores, making them look much larger! I tried using less then using more, I blended really well. But to no avail. This product just does not work if you have fine lines and large pores. Until I can find a better natural foundation, it's back to the paraben laced products for me!
I wanted to give this two lippies but am giving it a third because it is actually a wonderful natural product containing no harrmful substances and it smell lovely. Probably more suitable for younger skin.
