A nice pink that isn'tt too intimidating
Price: $4.47 CAD
Pkg: square tube, clear top
Colour: light rosy pink

I tend to go for darker or brighter colours. The reason why it works for me is because of its pigmentation, or lack thereof. The semi-sheerness works for me as I do not want to look like Barbie

This is my first Diamond Sparkle lippie from NYX, and let me tell you, as soon as I got my Cherry Culture package and tried this little baby on my lips, I fell in love at the first swipe. I have a good selection of NYX Round Lipsticks in my makeup drawer, but I think I've been converted into buying the Diamond Sparkles from now on. I never really understood the clean soapy plastic smell of the Round Lippies, but these have a rather appealing light scent. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it's somewhat sweet (not cloying though, just subtle).
Sparkling Flamingo is a beautiful neutral-ish baby pink with subtle gold sparkle. What I love about it, is that it doesn't look frosty, but has more of a gleaming glossy 'wet diamonds' effect on the lips, which is of course, more flattering than flat out white frost. And I was sooooo afraid that since this was a light color, that it would have that garish overpowering white frost, reminiscent of the '60s. But it is nothing of the sort. This does wonders to my NW15 skin tone, just a beautiful wash of color, without looking overdone.
Now onto the formula. One word: BUTTERY. Not grainy or gritty in the slightest. Maybe not as creamy as the Rounds, but its pretty darn close. The formulation on these honestly could not be better. What's even better (and this came as a major shocker to me, considering what they are) is that these lipsticks are actually very moisturizing, and they don't dry out my lips at all. It wears about 4 hours on average for me. So, since all the factors are there, I have no reason NOT to give this product a 5/5. I will DEFINITELY be checking out more shades in this lineup.

So, I missed out on the big NYX anniversary sale - but it didn't stop me from trying out some of their products. My first trial was Diamond Sparkle Lipstick in Sparkling Flamingo. Overall, I love the color. I'm fair with freckles and this is a lovely wash of color on my lips - pink with golden sparkle. However, I find the lipstick to be gritty and tastes/smells horrible! I licked my lips and tasted chemicals - yuck! I'll give it a go another time, but if it still tastes bad it's going in the garbage

I prefer lipstick over gloss. And this is like gloss in lipstick form. Its super sparkly and pink, glides on easily and looks exactly like a gloss on my lips. Its a pretty, bubble gum meets barbie pink with shimmery sparkles. I like the texture of it, and the sparkle is different from the usual lipsticks I use. I think this is a nice shade for spring/summer, and a nice effect overall. If you like how a gloss looks and how a lipstick wears, try this.

I have many NYX lipsticks coz they'r my favorite, but Sparkling Flamingo is the worst of them all.
first it has HUGE chunks of sparkles that r really harsh & tough & I can feel them on my lips, the product is creamy & pigmented but the sparkles will stop it frm spreadin evenly on my lips, so i have 2 use my fingers to spread it well.
the color itself is copy paste from NARS orgasm, whenever I wear this Blush I use NYX sparkling flamingo they just complement each other.
I wish that NYX will change the formula of this Lipstick coz its really a nice color ..

Pale pink with gold shimmer. Not quite pigmented for my complexion; DDD w/ coolundertones NW45. Very nice for a FFF, PPP, CCC.

From what I have tried, which isn't much, of NYX, this is my only disapointment so far. Sparkling Flamingo is a lavender color l/s with bits of microgold. I don't know why I bought this l/s, seeing as how I was looking for satin or semi shiney l/s. I even knew the line was the Diamon l/s line, and I should have known it would be glitery. The actual lavender color of this l/s is very pretty and different, but I don't like the glitter at all. It makes me look very porn star-esque, more so than frosty l/g does. I didn't give it too poor a rating, however, because the price is good and the texture is very smooth and creamy. I really wanted to love this.

I've recently discovered this new formula from NYX in my sister's mu bag. I picked up 3 for myself today from the drugstore. They're priced @ 3.69 here in HI, but that's still a deal for a l/s that feels like Trish Mcevoy's sparkling line of lipsticks. That's what this formula reminds me of. It's very shimmery, but not gritty on the lips.
This color called Flamingo is a light pink lavender shade w/ gold microglitter. I'll be picking up more of these.
