I got this in sparkling nude.. which surprisingly doesn't have a separate review page for just the colour itself.
PROS:
- the colour is gorgeous, if you're looking for a nude that has a hint of peachy-pinky-mauvey colour, then this it. It doesn't make your lips look dead, which I find most nudes do, and it won't wash you out.
-the packaging is super cute and sleek
- the formula is creamy and smooth and easy to apply
CONS:
- it's not completely moisturizing, use a lip balm or gloss with it
- it dries your lips slightly
- it was 8 $ CAN for a lippie... slightly expensive for a drugstore lipstick.

Maybelline Wetshine Diamonds was my favorite drugstore lipstick and I was so mad when they discontinued it. These NYX Diamond Sparkle lipsticks are the closest thing I have found, but miss the mark by being a little too sparkly. I have the shades Sparkling Nude which is kind of similar to Wetshine Cocoa Glow, but not as pink-its like a really sparkly Urban Decay ABC Gum if you remember it, and sparkling orange which is really a bright peachy coral similar to that orangish red that was released in the MAC Fafi collection or UD 5180 lipstick. So here's the breakdown:
Pros:
-Moisturizing, which is rare for a sparkle lipstick
-Build-able color on the bright and dark shades
-Does not look cakey or waxy like the round lipsticks
-Not overly soft like the round lipsticks
Cons
-Can cross the line from sparkly to frosty, especially on the lighter shades. However, The frost can be toned down with gloss, and when paired with a gloss, some sparkle still shines through. I like to pair these with BE Buxom gloss, but I think any sheer gloss would work, and I always wear gloss over lipstick. Still, it be better if these had just a little less frost.

I love this lipstick! I have two shades and both are wearable and glamorous looking. They are lightweight and packed with pigment and are frosty/shiny without being glittery. NYX is hard to find where I live and I just happened upon them when visiting a friend in another state and I wish I had picked up more of them. This is an inexpensive lipstick that looks expensive on. I'm going to have to go online and order more. You have to try this lipstick!!!!!!

Finally, I've found the gorgeous pink color I've been hunting for! I've been looking for a replacement for the Maybelline Wet Shine Diamonds lipsticks in a particular shade of pink and haven't had luck yet... until now! I picked up the NYX Diamond Sparkle Lipstick in "Rose" at my grocery store for about $5. I am very impressed! Packing is simple, but works and looks fine. I loved that the lipstick isn't scented and doesn't have that gross waxy lipstick scent. The "Rose" color is like a very wearable Barbie pink, like a pretty pink flower color. It's a like a cool/neutral medium pink. It isn't super bright and comes off very soft when on the lips... very pretty for spring! I prefer lighter, more natural lip colors, but I have a hard time finding a nice petal pink that isn't too bright or doesn't show up at all. This is perfect! The shimmer isn't over-the-top and doesn't feel at all gritty. In fact, it's less gritty than the Wet Shine Diamonds that I was trying to replace. It feels nice on my lips and not at all drying. I can't think of a single negative thing to say about this lipstick in the "Rose" color. I'll certainly be buying a few more colors, but since I've been looking for my perfect pink for so long, I'm sure this will remain my favorite. It goes so well with my fair skin and also with a sunless tan! Another good way to describe the color is a bubblegum pink, yet a very wearable version that looks soft and shimmery. I've seen many ads in magazines for Maybelline lipsticks and other brands, but when I go see them in person, they don't look like that at all. Finally, I've found my HG pink lipstick :) Love love love it!

These lipsticks looked so pretty online I had to try a few colors. With my black hair and medium/tan complexion, I thought I'd look better in darker, deeper shades so I bought Sparkling Walnut and Sparkling Rust. Both lipsticks have lots of tiny glitter particles and are shimmery/frosty. Sparkling Walnut, while a pretty rosy-tan shade, was not quite as deep of a color as I would've liked. It was a tad too frosty for me but I'll still wear it now and then. I like Sparkling Rust a little better...but it looks a lot like the NYX Round lipstick in Topaz which I also own. Sparkling Rust is a shimmery bronze shade. Both are very pretty, just perhaps not as deep of a shade as I would've liked. I would still try other colors, possibly.

I love these! They're super cheap, very moisturizing, and have that sparkly frosty sheen that suits me well. The colours are very sheer, which is nice if you want a more subtle look, or to layer them on top of another colour, as I am wont to do. They're worth a try, anyway, for that price!

I have this in nude and salmon. The nude looks like a light orange, but it's more of a light peach-pink on my lips. I use this under a peach lipstick from avon to tone down the shine and sparkles a bit.
Salmon had tons of sparkles in it, that it made my lips look bigger than it already is.

For the price (UNDER $3) you can't beat it. If you need a sparkley shade - try DS21 - sparkling satin - a pale lilac-beige. A nice treat and cheap enough to buy a few for gifts or for a teen or tween.

I have two of these in Sparkling Apricot and Sparkling Dusty Rose. Both are absolutely gorgeous. They're quite frosty, but not an unwearable kind of frosty. The frost is about as wearable as it can get imo. The colours are really quite pigmented and don't seem just like a frosty white colour, like some frosted lipsticks do.
My fave thing about this product, though, is how moisturizing and creamy it is. It doesn't dry out my lips at all. It feels creamy and smooth on my lips for hours, and just glides on without tugging. I have dry lips and I don't need to wear a balm with this lipstick. The lipstick itself feels like a balm.
Definitely one of my favourites, that's got a permanent place on my repurchase list. I also love that I can get three of these for the price of one MAC, too!

I got this in Sparkling Velvet and found my HG pink lipcolor! It is SO natural looking! It has a lot of shimmer that some might feel is frosty looking esp. on darker skin. I wouldn't reccomend this color for anyone with med to dark skin and strong warm undertones as it is more on the cool side. Wonderfully moisturizing too and under 4 bucks! Some of the other Diamond Sparkle colors are beautiful too and the whole range has warm and cool colors to suit most complexions. Worth a try!

I have three of these and they did not work out for me. It's not as drying as most lipsticks I've used and have somewhat of a lip gloss consistency but they apply very sheer and the sparkles feel very gritty on the lips. The NYX diamond sparkle lipglosses are a much better alternative. They're more moisturizing, smooth, and significantly more pigmented. Even for the very low price, I would not repurchase these.

I was pleased at the smoothness of these lipsticks, too. the glitter might look big and a little overwhelming but they're actually very small pieces. They're also very sheer so you don't have to worry about looking like you stepped out of a time portal from 1985.

I absolutely LOVE these lipsticks. I have every color of the Diamond Sparkle Lipsticks and cannot pick a favorite! They are very creamy, not gritty, like some sparkle lipsticks. These lipsticks are very rich in pigment and wear very well. I highly recommend trying the Diamond Sparkle collection if you like sparkle/shimmer lipsticks.

I adore NYX as a whole but just like other brands, it has it's hits and misses. I am sad to say that the Diamond Sparkle l/s are a miss for me.
NYXcosmetics.com says "Diamond Sparkle Lipsticks give your lips that multi-faceted sparkle and shine that they have been dying for"! The DS l/s does in fact deliver sparkle and shine. Unfortunately it also delivers frost... And not the good kind of frost either. I'm talking the circa 1985 "Dallas" - with the hair to match, kind of frosting. Mmm... yeah. Not quite the look I was going for.
The l/s is moist and feels fairly comfortable on the lips. I can't speak on the durablitly of it. I have yet to wear it for more than 30 minutes. I have only worn it during my mu experiments. As far as the gritty texture some have reported... I find that some shades are more gritty than others.
I gave this 3 lippies because quality-wise, the DS l/s is decent. The gritty-ness of some of the shades seems to be the nature of some of your more "sparkle heavy" l/s imo. This is something that I have experienced in a lot of other brands. There are 24 shades to choose from so if you look good in frosted lips then there is probably a shade that will tickle your fancy.
I withheld 2 lippies because I think that NYX should have to put a black-box label on the l/s warning that use of this lipstick may result in "Big @$$ hair and people asking you "Who shot J.R."?
Skin type= Combo with the occasional hormonal breakout. Tone= DDD w/ golden undertones, NC 50

I love these. I love a shimmery not glossy lip and these deliver. I use over lipstick. I blot than apply a Diamond Sjparkle lipstick.
I'm a DDD and the colors look frosty light and are too sheer for my pigmented lips so I have to use another color first.Others have described a grainy texture but I don't feel it. II alos don't have a problem w/the color fading as other described. I think it's b/c I layer it.
I have lots of these but my favorites are 24 Karet and Satin. Satin appears to be a metallic light purple shade. Goes on (remember my lips are pigmented) a beigy color. 24 Karet is a light gold color. I LOVE to apply Milani's Royal Ruby and 24 Karet on top. This gives me he perfect berry/bonze color that I love. Makes my face pop but not overwhelming.
These are super cheap $3 or less Lots of colors to choose. HG imho.

This lipstick is not that terrible for a drugstore brand. It's a little thin, and doesn't last like department store stuff though. The color (Sparkling satin) is just okay. And the packaging truly sucks! It fell apart in my purse into 3 seperate pieces. It's like they didn't bother to glue the crap together in the factory!
Pretty cheap, but pretty disappointing. I'd say pass.

the reason i gave it a 4 and not a 5 cuz it feels a bit rough on my lips cuz of the sparkly, i feel like my lips are filled with soft creamy lipstick with a bunch of sand on my lips lols! but overall the colors are great and my lips are shiney! I love them but i prefer the round stick better, just my opinion =)

I have this in Amber, Plum and Dusty Rose. I like the colors, and I like that they arent as overpowering as some other lipsticks. I like that they are lighter, because I am an NW15 and these look perfect on me! For some reason, though, Plum seems to fade, and fades really funny. My lips look patchy after a few minutes of wearing it. Not sure why, but the other two dont do it. Who knows, for $2.00 a peice, I am not complaining!

I picked a few of these up. The first one I tried was Sparkling Orange. I didn't expect such great results. The Orange shade is nicely pigmented with a hint of peach to it. The texture is so soft and creamy on the lips. The ultra macro fine glitter shimmers with a diamond effect .A few times I thought I had only lipgloss on it was so moisturizing. I had Looked in the mirror and the lipstick was still on. This did not smudge or fade out of the lip line after 15 minutes. It has no odor or scent. The packaging is pitch black with the NYX signiture and color shade on the bottom. These are great lipsticks I didn't expect such great results. I went back and bought more shades. To find a lipstick that has color and gloss to it is great.

These lipsticks have the look and feel of a gloss, they are shiny, shimmery and glossy looking, but they are not sticky like most glosses. They feel creamy, have a very faint scent and come in a nice variety of colors. The packaging is also better than that of the regular NYX lipsticks. These lipsticks don't have the best staying power, but they do last some 4 hours without touch ups. I own 4 different colors and plan to buy more. I totally recommend them.
