Unfortunately this has been discontinued, with no warnings :(
I have the strange feeling that BB are discontinuying most of the shampoo and condi that still contains natural ingredients, to replace these lines by silicone and chemically loaded ingredients new lines, with an increase in the prices too!!! sooooooo disappointed..... I am fearing for the seaweed line too now....
I loved how alojoba shampoo and condi made my untreated natural very long hair look and how moisturizing it was....
BOOHOO....

When I'm feeling flush, I buy this shampoo. I rarely spring for fancy shampoos (although I have this strange weakness for Phyto products, but that is another story), but I love the Alojoba shampoo. Yes, it's expensive. No, it does not get all sudsy. But it leaves my hair wonderfully soft, even without conditioning. And I love the smell.

I bought this shampoo and tried it. the next morning. My first impression was that Bumble adn Bumble acidently packaged a conditioner in a shampoo bottle!!!!! The formula barely lathers. I didn't know that the lformula was low sudsing, so I decided to wash my hair again with another shampoo right after. They pleasant suprise was that I did notice my hair was wonderfully soft and manageble, when I styled it, but I figured that it was due to shampooing with 2 products adn then using a good conditioner. Later, I got online and learned that formula doesn't get super sudsy, so a few days later I tried it again and followed with a conditioner that I usually use. My hair turned out so AMAZING!! Super soft, silky, shiny, manageable and best of all, I didn't have to use a ton of hair products to get my hair to be sleek!!!! My hair is VERY processed, blonde, and I use blowdryer daily on my naturally very, very wavy hair. I love this shampoo and will definately buy it again!!

This shampoo is ridiculously expensive! It didn't do anything special for my hair and I will never buy it again! However it didn't do anything negative to my hair so in my opinion, it's just like any other shampoo you can buy for cheap in a drug store.

I'm not sure I understand why people seem to be on the fence about this product. I love this shampoo. I've been using Pantene for a few months, and it really dried my hair out. It lost a lot of the shine and smoothness over time and began to feel stingy and thin. Alojoba locks in the moisture and makes my hair nice and smooth and has restored a lot of the thickness. LOVE IT! I think this is my go-to shampoo for now on.

This is the most amazing shampoo I have ever used.

I am long time BB user and had used the Alojoba Conditioner but had switch between the Thicking and Seaweed shampoos. My daughter was actually the one that bought it first and one day I tried it. Wow. My hair is itself is little fine but I have a lot of it. It's wavy but not curly and I cover my grey with semipermant color about every 6-8 wee,s . This makes my hair so "flouncy" and full and no build up, ever. It leaves my hair with a very separated feel. I know that's an odd description but it was the best analogy I could think of. My hair styles beautifully and all I use is a small amount of Styling Lotion over Prep or Tonic. I can't wait for warmer weather to combine this with the curling creme.

As far as the low lather, I'm fine with it. However, do EXACTLY like your hairdresser and the website instructs and lather in your hands first. Once I have it in my hair I rewet it slightly and keep rubbing. The lather is low, but it does lather. Awesome, awesome, stuff.

Whoa, I'm really shocked at the low ratings on this! I think it's one of the best shampoos I've tried.

To give you a little background on my hair, it's long, curly (a "3A" for those familiar with naturallycurly.com), and colored with Redken Shades EQ (semi permanent). I occasionally use a flat iron, but rarely blow dry and use an average of 3 styling products. I wash my hair every other day or it gets "puffy" : )

I wasn't sure I'd like a "low lathering" shampoo as I'd already tried DevaCurl's Lo Poo shampoo and didn't care for it at all. However, I found this provided a more than sufficient amount of suds. And personally, I love the fragrance. It manages to smell fresh and clean without reminding me of bathroom cleaner or feminine products. The scent is also quite subtle, which is a boon for fragrance junkies such as myself who don't want any competition with carefully chosen (and expensive!) parfums. I use both the shampoo and conditioner and love that it moisturizes quite well, but doesn't leave my hair greasy or flat. It doesn't hamper curl formation, either. In fact my soaking wet hair starts to form ringlets right out of the shower!

I can see how someone with hair that undergoes multiple chemical treatments (i.e. full color with highlights, or perm and color) or is flat ironed and/or blow dried daily wouldn't like this shampoo. It's also probably not going to be a winner for those with coarse hair. It's won't be moisturizing enough for either type. Good stuff for fine, curly, or minimally processed hair, though!

I bought this on a whim during a visit to my hair salon, and I regret not consulting MUA before purchasing. This is a really odd shampoo; it does not lather much, yet it's not free of parabens or SLS. Normally it only takes a slightly-larger-than-quarter-size dollop of shampoo to get a good amount of suds going for me, but I found myself re-applying this shampoo three separate times during the process of washing my hair. At this rate, I'll be finishing the 8 oz. bottle within a month, which is definitely not worth the price that I paid ($21). However, the scent is very "green" and light, and the packaging is very sturdy and visually appealing. I would have given this shampoo a 2-star rating, but it actually did leave my hair feeling very very soft. Don't even bother with the matching conditioner, it's horrible. If you're looking to buy a bumble & bumble shampoo and conditioner, stick with the Be Gentle shampoo and Super Rich conditioner.

I was generally very under-whelmed by this product. My hair turns out pretty well with it, but it's just a weird shampoo. I have very thick hair, and the lack of lather means I have to use way more of this than I do any other shampoo. For the price I'm paying, that makes me an unhappy camper. I do like the smell, and I like what it does to my hair, but I don't like either one enough to shell out at the rate that would be required to keep this up.

This shampoo made my hair feel so dry and straw-like. I have thick curly chemically treated hair and this shampoo did not have nearly enough moisture for me. Overall, I really hated this shampoo.

I don't know what posessed me to purchase this product, but I did, and I am very disappointed. A little does NOT go a long way, especially because it doesn't lather. It rinses out well, but my hair still looks and feels oily after I blow dry it. I try to use it sparingly because it's so expensive, but because it doesn't lather I feel like I'm not really even washing my hair in the first place. I won't lie, I love the smell and it does make my hair soft, I just wish it looked cleaner when dry. I will not repurchase, but would consider another Bumble&bumble shampoo.

I have baby fine straight hair, and during the winter time I have a major issue with static. I hate the winter because there is nothing I can do to stop the static, I have tried everything even rinsing my hair with fabric softener, and nothing has worked that didn't make my hair gross, until I tried this shampoo and conditioner. My hair is soft and light and full of body with this product. If you like your shampoo to lather you probably won't like this product. I myself am not bothered by the lack of later, I find a little of this stuff goes along way. The only problem I have with this stuff is the price, it is definately on the expensive side.

this was my first BB shampoo
This is a great everyday shapoo (for fine hair, like me) it moisturizes a little but doesn't weight hair down or strip it of its natural oils. its SMELLS AMAZING, this is by far the best smelling shampoo i have ever tried.
Also, you only need a small amount- nickel sized to do the job, which is a lot less than normal shampoos. (My hair is medium- long) This shampoo keeps my fine hair shiny and healthy looking.
cons- the shampoo does not lather.

Yes, it's outrageously priced for shampoo (but not as bad as Ted Gibson, which I am also trying). No, it doesn't lather. But it works fabulous on my normal, shoulder-length, straight hair. I only use a tiny bit (maybe the size of a nickel) so the bottle should last a while. It has stopped the washing away of my semi-permanent color in its tracks. If your hair is too fine or oily for the conditioner washing thing, I recommend giving this a try. This provides moisture without all the goop. And it smells lovely and natural, like soft green plants. Highly recommended.

I bought this a long time ago. The last 1/5 of the bottle is still hanging out under my sink. I couldn't get down with this stuff. I had to shampoo 3 times before I could even get it to lather. Wasteful. This is a completely unremarkable shampoo in every way imaginable. Bumble and Bumble must be proud of this stuff though because its one of their priciest shampoos. meh, i want my 20 dollars back.

As a loyal Bumble and bumble fan, I was very disappointed in this. Every time I use this I have to wash my hair twice, which is a big waste of product, and even after all that my hair still doesn't feel clean. The only nice thing it did for my hair was make it bouncy. I wish I had read the reviews here before buying this. I've switched to the gentle shampoo and am much happier.

I have fine, straight, medium-thick, normal, past the shoulder hair. I typically have trouble with volume and moisture, and could not find the perfect product to give me that combination I need.

Alojoba Shampoo & Conditioner provides gentle cleansing and plenty of moisture. Surprisingly, this combo also gave me plenty of volume! It gives me the bed-head, day-after-washing look that I can't replicate with other products. I do get the same effect using the Kiehl's Lecithin Shampoo, but I wanted to try a creamy-textured shampoo.

Like most reviewers said, the shampoo has minimal lather - it almost feels like the conditioner. The conditioner gets absorbed into the hair almost instantaneously - you won't feel the "slip" that conditioners typically give.

I had to get used to the scent, however. It's very unusual and unfamiliar to me - I liken it to a combination of juniper, cucumbers, and aloe. Not a bad scent, just something i've never encountered before this product.

Horrible product. My husband purchased this $26 shampoo and during the first use, my scalp was itchy (probably some allergic reaction). There is no foam in this shampoo so you keep using more and more. Also, it stings your eyes when you are rinsing it. I don't find my hair any different. Please don't buy it! It's a waste of money. We have an almost full bottle sitting on our shower rack!

I Loved the alojoba shampoo, i bought the liter size bottle, big bucks but well worth it, it works well for my Non chemically treated hair, being my hair is naturally long and straight, medium thick and blow dried daily, my hair feels healthier, and shinier, and softer, only problem is, why does a little of my hair fall out from using this? this is my question and curiosity, otherwise i would of given this a 5 star rating if my hair didnt fall out at times with this shampoo, but I LOVE IT ANYWAYS, I just have to continue to take hair vitamins along with this shampoo product.

Hi all. I have very fine hair (wavy, and kind of kinky) not coloured, just past the shoulder length hair. I find this shampoo to work surprisingly well. It seems to make my hair more even in texture and feel from root to tip. I think it is quite a strong shampoo and I use it when my hair feels quite greasy. I like that it doesn't lather to much (the amount of lather is not and indication of something being cleaned more necessarily). Because the texture is quite thick, you do tend to blob quite a lot out when using it. It does not make my scalp itch, which is something I always worry about (sebastion shampoos always make me itch). It is certainly pricey, but I can't really think of an alternative as I do not like to use supermarket brands. Hope this is helpful. The jojoba and aloe are quite high on the ingredient list too, so at least you are getting more of the good stuff good :)
