My review is for total effects with spf15 in the beige packaging.
This moisturizes my skin perfectly, i put on quite a lot (in order to have good protection) and it sinks in so quickly! It doesn't leave a white cast and no greasy feeling. I like the pump dispenser, very hygienic.
Unfortunately i wouldn't buy this product again as i find spf 15 a bit low, i used it in december but i prefer to use spf30 in winter and spf50 in summer.

I wanted this to work for me so badly :(. I love Olay's other products, and have used their Olay Complete for Sensitive skin for years and love it. However, this made my face burn and made me have little bumps all over my skin...I guess there is something in it that irritates me. I recently turned 30 so wanted to increase my anti-aging regimen so hoped this would be the answer but sadly no. I would not repurchase..went back to my Olay Complete for Sensitive skin...maybe this might work for others but not for me.

I got this on sale at CVS for less than $20. I'm asian, with normal skin leaning towards dry. My main skin concerns are evening out my skin tone (cosmetically, not by bleaching) because I have some freckles on my cheeks, darkness around my forehead, etc. I was using Shiseido Sunscreen under my makeup but I need more moisture for the fall/winter and so far I'm really pleased. My skin looks prettier and healthier after applying the cream alone and I need to use less concealer. I haven't had much luck with Olay moisturizers in the past but this doesn't break me out. I would buy this again, if my budget is the same the next time I need moisturizer. Or I might get Aveeno Brightening Spf15 lotion-- that was my old drugstore standby until I tried this.

When I started getting more diligent about my skincare a couple of years ago I found it difficult to find a chemist/drugstore moisturiser with broad spectrum spf at a reasonable price. My mother had used this for years and after trying it I was a total convert. I have slightly dry skin and hardly ever get spots but I can have problems with roughness/poor texture if a moisturiser is too rich.
This is a very pleasantly scented thick cream which smooths on and absorbs quite quickly. It doesn't sting my eyes as ferociously as other spf creams and doesn't have that tacky, over-rich texture they often have either. It provides a lovely base for makeup and instantly freshens up my tired morning-face.
I don't really have wrinkles (yet) so I can't comment on that aspect. However it keeps my skin feeling smooth and does a good job maintaining an even skintone. I think the spf 15 is perfectly adequate for day-to-day use in Ireland (or Britain).
It also contains niacinamide, vitamin c, vitamin e and green tea extract, which I think is a pretty good combination of antioxidants for a non-cosmeceutical cream. I feel I don't need an extra serum for day use; I just use a retinol/peptide one at night.
The only downside is that I think this is overpriced (€18-20 for 50ml) for something sold in chemists/supermarkets. It's usually discounted however, which I think is when most people buy it.
Overall, I'm really happy to use this consistently as my day cream. I'm considering trying the Regenerist only because it has broad spectrum spf 30. Still though, this is such a great product that I think it's one I'll always come back to and it definitely deserves a 5 star review.

I used this years ago, but I did like it. I had no irritation from it and it did add moisture to my skin without breaking me out. The price isn't bad, especially compared to other products. It smells nice. (smells fresh and not perfumed or chemical-y) The consistency is nice. It's very smooth. I don't think this would be good for really oily skin though.

This is the day moisturizer I will always go back to. I remember when I was just 16 I use my mom's stock of this. I used to sneak pumping a drop of this because she always used to tell me that anti-aging moisturizers are meant for older skin. I didn't really listen. Haha.
I bought my own bottle of this recently, after years of not using this. I applied this and it still felt good. The scent was nice and that didn't bother me. It easily absorbs quite faster in my skin compared to other moisturizers I use. I liked the packaging of this because you have full control on how much product you'll get. I also liked the fact that it has spf 15. However though, I wish it would come with a UVA and UVB in it as well for maximum sun protection. Also, this wasn't a big of a help for me oily skin. I tend to oil up after three hours or so.
Nonetheless, I'm still hoping to see the result I saw when I was using this years ago.

This has spf so I wear it under my foundation and it works as a good base for my makeup. I love the olay scent. I sometimes use this at night as I find it a thickish cream formula which really hydrates my skin. I havn't noticed any "brightening" or "firming" effects but its a good moisturiser. A bit expensive here in Australia but I would still repurchase as I am acne prone and this does not clog my pores.

Though I'm skeptical about the anti-aging benefits of this, beyond reducing sun damage, I think it's an ideal basic moisturizer. Total feels great going on and doesn't break me out. At $20 a bottle, it seems weirdly expensive for a DS moisturizer, but given the quality, the price makes sense.

This is my staple spf15 moisturiser that I use all winter and on summer days that are either dull or when I won't be exposed. I can't say it does anything spectacular - I use AHA & retin-A & a good C serum vut it protects, doesn't irritate, doesn't leave me too shiny and provides the right level of hydration for my combo skin. Maybe the niacinamide helps with skin tone - mine has improved but I tend to attribute that to the more active products I use.
Also everytime I run out Boots gives me a £5 off voucher so I haven't strayed as with this it works out half the price of most equivalents.

I have been using Estee Lauder Perfectionist serum under makeup but didn't want to pay another $80 and also wanted spf so I got this and love it.
I put it on the back of the left hand for a week and saw, after the first use, that the left hand was noticably smoother and softer.
The texture is very light and sinks in completely after a minute with zero fragrance.
I still put it on the backs of both hands and they look much more smooth and even toned.
My pores are also much smaller. My skin loves this stuff. I enjoy using it due to the texture, very light and completely non sticky, and the excellent pump bottle which allows you to precisely control the amount that comes out by the amount of pressure you apply.
It sinks in so well that I can't tell I've used anything.
But the results let me know it works.
It was around $21 at Publix.

When this product first came out I signed up to get a free sample. It's supposed to:
1. minimize lines; 2. moisturize; 3. reduce age spots; 4. exfoliate; 5. minimize pores; 6. help prevent damage; and 7. do subtle lifting of the skin.
My major problem at the time was dull looking skin and an uneven complexion; and this product made a noticeable difference in those areas! My face seemed brighter and more even toned. I was impressed enough to purchase the product when my sample ran out.
What a let-down!! It's like the product in stores was a totally different animal! Those improvements I noticed before began to subside and disappear altogether. It's as if the product in the stores was totally different from the sample I received. Needless to say I haven't bought the product since and have my suspicions that the sample was an 'amped up' version just to get me to purchase the 'diluted' formula in stores.
Can't say I trust Olay much anymore.

This hands down beats any product I have ever used. Somehow, after only a month of use it has cleared alot of my acne scarring and made my skin look smoother. My partner, this evening, has turned to me and said I look beautiful and how clear my skin is : - ) ....chuffed to pieces since only a month ago I was crying over how bad my skin was.

This completely fixed my face. I've always had bumps on my forehead and redness elsewhere. I've tried sensitive skin moisturizers from Aveeno and Neutrogena (and Neutrogena, I usually love!), but I never expected those problems to go away, because nothing had ever helped them.
But when I tried this, the next day the bumps were gone and my face was smooth, and the redness was gone. I don't know why I had those problems, or why it fixed them, but it's been amazing for me.

I love Olay products. I was excited to find this at my local drugstore on sale. Loved that it included UV protection. Used it last night and there was no reaction. Used it this morning, and by dinner time my face was bright red like I was sunburnt. I now have a sunburn like rash all over my face and neck, and lots of tiny blisters under my eyes and across my cheekbones. And can I say...OWW! What a disappointment this product was. I haven't had a reaction this severe since the Bobbi Brown eye cream incident of 2006. Guess I'm going to spend the extra $ and stick with my HG Chanel moisturizer.

I tried this a few months ago to moisturize my skin before applying make up. It was a disaster because it made my foundation ball up into flakes & peel off. I found that to be very odd.
Well, I switched my cleansing routine up a bit & added in some new products which left my skin SUPER dry. I look(ed) like a burn victim. Last week I finally tried CeraVe PM moisturizer...& that was the absolute WORST moisturizer I have ever tried. My skin is still breaking out from the 3 times I used it. Cerave clogged my pores badly. I could litterally pressed against my enlargened pores & pus would flow out. Thanks CeraVe!
Well tonight, looking like a burn victim, I tried using Olay Tottal Effects in a desperate attempt to soothe my skin. I figure my skin really can't get much worse. I REALLY HOPE IT CAN'T. Haha. Upon application Olay looks like a white film layer across my face. Then it highlights my every flaw as my skin looks shinier & shinier. An hour later? THEN it finally starts to sink in. 5 hours later & I still feel like theres a layer of grease upon my skin. HOWEVER, my skin went from feeling like sandpaper to feeling super smooth. So for now - I'm happy. I'll continue to update y'all. Especially if this too breaks out my skin.
*Edit 1*: I woke up this morning & it didn't clog my pores, enlargen them, nor break me out. So far I love this stuff! Its a little bit too heavy but if I keep in mind 'less is more' & 'a little goes a long way' I'll be fine. :) My skin looks healthy, rested, & a lot less red. My pores look smaller with this on.
*Edit 2*: I think it clogged a few pores & caused a few zits. :( So I replaced it with Olay Sensitive Skin Moisturizer. I don't like the new one better, I just wish the Total Effects one didn't clog my pores.

This stuff gave me an allergic reaction. I don't know what I'm allergic to in this moisturizer, because I'm not allergic to anything else. But I used this once, and then 24 hours later I found a million tiny, itchy hive/bumps all over my cheeks, under my eyes, and on my neck where I applied this.
It's been 3 days later && I haven't used this.
Yet I STILL have the bumps.
ugh.

I’m just now finishing up my second container of this moisturizer and have decided that I will not be repurchasing. After the first container, I was in love – I thought I had found the perfect SPF lotion - my skin appeared glowy and pretty. Either my skin changed or the ingredients in this moisturizer aren't the same because now whenever I use this, I get white flaky residue on my face.

I've been using this product for about 3 months and can't find much to say about it other than that it has a nice texture and does not cause my skin to break out. If you need an emollient moisturizer for dry skin, this is good but I can't tell any difference between this product and most of the others out there. The main beneficial ingredients are sunscreen and anti-oxidants, so rather than repair aging skin, Total Effects will protect it from future damage. Personally, I think Olay's Renergist serum is more cutting edge in terms of quality but this one mixes nicely with foundation as part of a daily regime - only a tiny drop is needed.
