Wow what a great performing shampoo this. Definetly cleanses well yet gentle to the hair and helps to prevent color fade.

I really cannot imagine what this did for the good reviewers hair, but you all lucked OUT. I cannot imagine liking this unless id been using dish soap on my hair for the past 5 years. It made my hair stringy and dry, not smooth or moisturized..and my hair is not dry at all to begin with. I cannot speak on how much it did to preserve color, only because I could not use it for more than a week. My hair was in noticeably worse condition. Needless to say I returned it and went back to redken. My hair is not terribly damaged to begin with, but it has gone through its fair share of abuse. Maybe this would work better for people with normal, healthy hair..but then again its pretty pointless to spend a lot of money on shampoo and conditioner for unprocecced hair.
Oh, and it had some weird underlying smell that made the experience that much worse. And it was annoying as hell to squeeze out of the bottle it was like squeezing out thick caramel. Impossible.

This shampoo smells delicious! I normally dont like sulfate free poos as I feel I have to wash much more often, but this one actually cleans really well without that stripped feeling. Its a bit expensive at $26 for like 10 ounces. But it does seem to be keeping my colour a bit better. Its a win for me. Not HG, but its the best so far

I got a sample of this from folica.com... I loved using it in the shower!!! It smells sooo good and makes my hair feel so soft. The only part of my hair that really shows the quality of my shampoo are my roots because I don't put serum, conditioner or hairspray there. My roots are so SHINY! It's really lovely stuff.

I decided to give this L'anza Healing Color Care a try since I've heard so many good things about their products. I have long, highlighted blonde hair that's naturally dry and has some damage from highlighting. So I'm always in the market for that HG shampoo/conditioner. For me this wasn't it. It made my already thick hair feel even thicker, dryer, dull and I got frizzies! That's NOT okay...especially for how much it costs! I paid $26. I have no limit on investing in a good hair care product but I want to see some kind of positive effect on my hair. I was using John Frieda Frizz-Ease Straight Ahead for only $7. It makes my hair super smooth, shiny and straight and I never get frizzies. I will NOT be purchasing this L'anza Shampoo again.

My stylist finally convinced me that using high-quality and more expensive hair products would make my hair healthier. She has been telling me this for awhile, but I have been resistant to her advice. Finally, after feeling extremely frustrated at my dry, dehydrated, split-ended hair, I decided to take the plunge and purchase the L'anza products she raved about so much.
After 1 week of using a combination of three L'anza products (Healing Color Care Shampoo & Conditioner + Trauma Treatment) I can say that the quality of my hair has improved IMMENSELY. My hair looks healthy and shiny, for the first time in years. Additionally, the color has taken a lot longer to fade - I used to have to go get color retouches every 5 wks, this time I was able to wait 9 weeks between appointments! This will not only save me time but money too!
The shampoo cleans well but also moisturizes, it smells heavenly, and a bottle lasts me about a months (I shampoo every other day). This has saved my hair and has reached HG status for me!

I am only giving this product a 3, because I started using it when I had my hair colored red, and it didn't keep its promise of preserving the color last than a week. However, it did an excellent job of moisturizing my hair and making it shiny. My hair is now highlighted blonde, and it does a great job--my hair is silky, smooth, manageable, and soft. However, if you have thin/fine hair like yours truly, make sure to use a Clarifying shampoo once or twice a week. Might I recommend Neutrogena?

I am very impressed with L'anza haircare products! I had never even heard of the line, but a salon near my home had it on sale, so I bought some--I repurchased it as soon as it ran out.
The shampoo is sulfate free (and cruelty free which I also appreciate)
It doesn't lather the way I am accostumed to with shampoos, but the results are so fabulous that I don't care--it gently but thoroughly cleans my hair and scalp leaving me with a head of very healthy shiny hair. It has a pleasant fragrance too--light so it doesn't interfere with my perfume! The experience of using this product is so different than most shampoos because of the lack of lather, but I still like the results. It is rather expensive, but when used in tandem with the Healing Color Care Conditioner, I can't deny that it is top notch--my hair looks consistently healthy, smooth and shiny when I use these products. =)
Having said all of that, I probably won't repurchase this product because it is way too expensive for my budget. I would use it regularly because of its fabulous quality, but I cannot justify spending that kind of money on it when I can get something about as good for much less.

I bought this line after my hair was done and I loved it. It isn't extraordinary, as say in Goldwell products, but I thought it totally did the job-sulfate free! And my hair is shiny and stays that way for at least two days. I like a better smell, and this one is perfumy-but light. Not coconutty like I love...but that's okay, because it still smells quite good. And works good on my fine, but lots of, hair.

I love this shampoo & conditioner. They really do preserve color. They smell really nice, and I had no trouble with the lather on the shampoo. It leaves my hair soft and shiny, and this is definately one of the best shampoos/conditioners I have found.

This shampoo does preserve color but it is a pain in the butt to use. It will lather, but only on the 2nd wash (the repeat). On the first wash it is difficult to get all the shampoo spread out over your head without using too much. The tendancy is to just add more, but that doesn't really help and this is expensive shampoo. So you have to put some in your hand, add water, massage and spread over the top and sides of your head (adding more water to get it to work), then do the same thing with the back of your head, rinse, and repeat. On the repeat it works like regular shampoo. It lathers and spreads easily. As you can see this is just too much work for shampoo. Just so you know I have soft, straight, fine, thick, shoulder length hair and I don't use any products except shampoo, conditioner and leave-in conditioner. So, I don't have to wash twice with any other shampoo. If you don't mind going to all this trouble every time you wash your hair I think you'll like this shampoo. It's gentle and it keeps your color. If you want to just wash your hair like a regular person try the Wella color care. It works almost as well and doesn't require any special knowledge to use.

Not immediately impressed. I've got straight long and slightly layered dark brunette color treated very healthy hair. Was at my local beauty supply eyeballing Pureology's Nanoworks line when the sales girl suggested I try L'anza's Healing Color Care Line, "Costs less, same benefits." I'm a dedicated user of L'anza Urban Elements Leave-In Conditioner but they've changed the packaging and scent and it's now called DAily Elements Healing Care Leave-In Conditioner so I picked that up since I was out already out of the other. Since I liked this original product so much I figured I'd give the Healing Color Care shampoo and conditioner a try, got a pack with travel size bottles. Used it today and didn't have that ah ha moment I have when using my regular hair care line; Pureology. My hair felt stripped after using the shampoo. It felt a little better after using the conditioner, then I finished it off w/their spray Color-Preserving Fade Protector & Moisturizer and Leave-In Conditioner. My hair feels much softer when I use Pureology (Hydrate and/or Volumizing.) It does look shiny today and the fragrance is fantastic but not sure that I'll buy again. Doesn't seem to give me any volume or bounce. May give it a couple more chances till the travel bottles run out. If I don't see/feel any improvement then I'm back to Pureology and may give their costly Nanoworks line a run. Will update... **UPDATE** tried again today and I'll pass. Great fragrance and shiny but no volume or softness. Will stick w/Pureology.

This shampoo does preserve color. I am a bit confused at the prior reviews, in that this shampoo does not lather for me. The salon where I purchase states that this is normal because there are no detergents, sulfites.... in the shampoo. I have very long hair. I am using the whole line which includes the shampoo, conditioner, and UV spray that is a thermal protector. That being said, it is very expensive. 1 ltr $40, thermal protector $25. I purchased the pack that has I believe a 10 oz shampoo and conditioner as well as the thermal protector for $40. When I go to repurchase (not in a small 3 pack) it will cost well over $100. So, when you do purchase this be aware of the cost. If you are okay with that...the line is a great protector, which I need since I professionally color my hair dark and use other product on my hair. 3 lippies due to the cost and the poor lather.

This is a great shampoo for colour treated hair. I was getting soo tired of trying all kinds of different hair colour protection shampoos and conditioners that always promises the world with shiny managable hair with colour that lasts forever, but leaving nothing but BUILD-UP!!!:O Making hair after a couple of weeks use look nothing but dull, dirty and in need of constant cleaning, (which by the way is colour treated hairs worst enemy...). This line of 4 products in total takes a whole different approach to protecting colour treated hair! That is, instead of coating hair with sunprotection and antioxidants, (which most brands use and that ultimately leaves behind said BUILD-UP), the Healing color care instead focuses on using much more mild detergents with no sulfates, (like SLS or ALS that penetrates through the hairs natural protective barrier). And that protects colour as well as hair much much better than any coating stuff will ever do! And without BUILD-UP!
The shampoo lathers well, smells nice and leaves hair feeling clean without stripping it of too much natural moisture.
This really deserves 5 lippies just because of that. But I think L'anza should add to this line another shampoo based on the same idea but also for drier hairtypes as those types might find this not to be enough. But apart from that and that I for the first time can feel i protect my coloured hair without experiencing the horrors of... u know what I mean, Then that is truly great!

Tried a sample of this initially and discovered how well it worked. Being as gentle as it is - lathers amazingly well, smells pleasant without being overbearing, and doesn't strip my mid-back length hair. I don't colour treat my hair but do tend to prefer using colour care shampoo and conditioners. I shampoo daily and for now this is definately a staple! The botanicals don't leave me sneezing, eyes watering, so far so good. Often my hair feels heavy and this definately takes care of it. Highly recommend.

Haven't written a review in a while, but after trying the new Lanza healing color line I had to write. This new line is another winner from Lanza, it is a bit pricey but you pay for the gentle sulfate free formula and the botanical extracts. The shampoo and conditioner both smell heavenly and out perform any other color line I've tried (and I've tried them all ;). Retail for $18.00 each, but well worth it!

I have never really liked any color care 'poos- they seem drying to me. This line is not drying!! The 'poo is clear, SULFATE-FREE, and smells WONDERFUL!! Kind of perfume-y, but not sickening, lathers very well (surprised because it's sulfate-free) and cleanses thoroughly. I almost thought it was a little drying, but after I followed with the conditioner, I was VERY PLEASED!! I have extremely dry, bleached hair and hardly ANYTHING moisturized my hair to my liking. After I dried, my hair moved so much nicer than usual, and was SOO SOFT! Will definitely re-purchase!!
