I got this as part of a gift from my boyfriend and I didn't use it all! I could not get over the gross overpowering scent it had. I just wasn't able to try it and so he returned it. Usually I am not bothered by scents and can still use the product but this one was too overpowering!

FABULOUS!! The entire Aqua Dessa product line is extremely gentle on the skin. This scrub not only exfoliates but moisturizes. You don't need to apply lotion after using, it moisturizes that well!! I know it is pricey but you can save extra $$ by going to chocolatelotus.com, they sell it for under $30. I highly recommend any of the Aqua Dessa line especially this scrub!

I've found my HG body scrub! I used Fresh's Brown Sugar Scrub, but that left my skin quite red. So did Bliss' Hot Salt Scrub, and their Eucalyptus Scrub didn't do that much for me. This is quite a find, and I don't think US $33 is that bad for 16 oz., because I don't use that much. I use a tiny bit, rub it in a circular motion, and I find that it not only exfoliates but also mosturizes as well. If I'm particularly lazy, I don't need to use a moisturizer after bathing -- it's THAT good (I have really dry skin). The fragrance is lovely but not overpowering, so yes, it's yummy chocolate, but it's not that artificially sweet crap from Dessert Beauty. Ingredients are as follows:Premium white chocolate, Cocoa Butter, Sugar Cane, Organic Virgin Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, Mango Butter, Macademia Nut Oil, Kukui Nut Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Vitamin E, Rosemary Extract and phenonip. What is phenonip, you ask? Phenonip is a liquid preservative blend manufactured by a company named Clariant. This is NOT a natural ingredient, but it's an important one. Its main usage is to prevent microbial contamination in cosmetics, and it offers broad spectrum protection against Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria, yeasts and molds. I'm getting my info from naked-herb.com, Clariant (the company that manufactures Phenonip) and a paper published by the NIH. I'm looking forward to trying out some more Aqua Dessa products, as I am so impressed by this scrub!

I have been searching for a good sugar scrub that had good moisturizing power (I don't mind a little oily residue...) and an appealing scent. Since I am obsessed with all things chocolate, I invested in this product along with several other Aqua Dessa products. There is actual pieces of white chocolate in this product! It literally smells like white chocolate...which is nice, but I can see why a lot of bath companies use fragrances...if you don't like white chocolate, you probably won't like the scent. It's gentle in comparison to the Fresh Sugar Scrub (which I love, except for the really high price), but has the same oily feel to it. It isn't greasy, but feels like you have moisturizer on. It's a really unique product in the way of body scrubs, and if you're a fan of them like me, it's a must try.

Let's list the negatives first, shall we? Again with the wide-mouthed tubs, which I've always detested with scrubs. I always worry about contamination. On to the good stuff! So, I got a good dollop of this from a helpful SA at Sephora since there weren't any tubs of the actual stuff left (!!!). Went home, tried it out... and wow, this is the real deal in terms of fragrance and softening power. I think what does it for me is that this is REAL WHITE CHOCOLATE, and not some funky fragrance oil rendition. The fact that this is also a sugar scrub makes it all the more endearing (no sharp, stinging pain everywhere!). Absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, with a 33 buck price, I may just have to resort to buying baker's white chocolate and making my own version...
