I wish they still sold this in the US! I wore it all through college and it was fantastic.

I bought this product after a friend recommended it to me and had high hopes as she said it gave really good coverage (which is what i need as i have quite uneven skin tone and mild acne). It does cover redness/spots well but can be a bit organgey and look cakey after an hour or so. Also it made me really shiny despite not having oily skin, so i would not recommend wearing it to an event where lots of pictures will be taken as the shininess looked even worse in photographs. It would be best to apply with a brush instead of finger tips. It was a bit messy and managed to get all over the inside of the tube which was annoying. Better for darker skin tones overall I think.

I bought this after I had this in teenage, liked it then,15 years ago this was at the stores for the first time. Pan Stick does cover acne scars and what I like about it,it’s easy and quick to use.But if you want to put liquid highlighter or something else on the skin after putting pan stick,it will crease horribly. It definitely isn’t smooth, more like a mask that you wear on your skin when wearing this. And it looks like a mask too,so this is just when I’m in a hurry and don’t have time to put foundation or bb. I couldn’t see myself using this like everyday makeup,no way! But it’s still good to have if you’re in a rush.

I bought this foundation stick with the intention to use it as a concealer on spots and discolorations. It is supposed be very heavy in terms of coverage and be available also in light enough shades.
I bough it in the shade 121 Nude Ivory which was a pretty good match for my Mac NW15-NW20 skin.
It did cover things up, but the problem was that it did not look very skinline and also even set with powder it would crease and become super oily (I dont have many wrinkels and my skin is actually more normal to combination to oily).

You can't find this stuff in drugstores anymore, but you can buy it at drugstore.com. It's one of my staple winter foundations. (It's a bit too heavy of coverage for summer). It's super easy to apply and gives awesome coverage. I have combination skin that tends to be drier in the winter. This foundation is heavy but it does NOT make me break out. Instead, it makes my skin look smooth and awesome. I LOVE this stuff in the winter. And it's not expensive!

I bought this looking more for a concealer than a foundation. Now after using it I realize that I did good not to use it as a foundation. As a concealer it covers well, but it feels on my skin - sticky, heavy, and sometimes it broke me out (on my chin). But it doesn't last too well and it sometimes creases.
Under my eyes it irritated my skin a little. Not a great concealer then, and definitely not a good foundation (unless I want to look yellowish waxed).

I am a huge Max Factor fan and this product did not disappoint. I even bought extra because I found out it won't be available in the US after this year. It's great for my sensitive skin, and covers the redness I have very well. I do have to reapply about once a day, but that is ok because the result it great. My only complaint is that it does rub off on thing rather easily so I have to watch that. I like that it's so easily portable, as I put my makeup on once I get to work before my shift. I hope they continue to make this, as it's one of the few that have not broken my skin out and I can apply well with my hands. I am allergic to nylon and several other things used in most applicators.

This pan stick is good, but it is oily, and so I wouldn't recommend it to anyone that has oily/combination skin. It's quite thick, and so applying it can be a little irritating as it's a pace by pace job in order to avoid looking cakey.
However, I have dry skin and find the coverage to be excellent. Day to day, I tend to use a small amount of this around my t-zone and under my eyes and then don't bother wearing foundation or powder as it covers any blemishes and evens out your skin tone without the need to bulk up the look with other makeup.
It lasts a long time so long as you don't get carried away, and it's cheap for the quality.

I'm so sad that this was discontinued in the US! I actually wear Nude, not Nude Ivory, and I love it! It has great buildable coverage, and when it's used as full coverage it doesn't appear cakey.

So We all know Max Factor is getting pulled in the U.S. HORROR. For someone with a constantly red, acne scarred face, the discovery of the full coverage of the Pan stick with that dewey finish has actually impacted my self-esteem in measurable ways...
Which leads me to ask.... Are there any other products similar to this?
There is no way I'm about to show my "real" face to the world after years and years of covering up!

i brought this as my friend recommended it.
i didn't like it as it feels so heavy and caused me to break out :(
as i have combination type skin, it made my face feel greasy and heavy although it looked okay. it felt horrible. as it does cover well if i'm going out at night i use it very sparingly under my eyes to cover any dark bits, and redness. so really i spose i sometimes use it as a concealer but definetly not a foundation

Was able to find this at my local KMart; as far as I'm aware MF is on the chopping block and thus difficult to find.I love Pan Stick,unfortunately-I think I'll stock up.This is a perfect shade match for me (I'm about NC20 in MAC speak). If you are oily or breakout prone stay FAR away-it's best for drier complexions.I'm combination/dry and tend to get more so in the winter months,so it is perfect for me.
I like the convenience of the stick too; I'm generally in a hurry to get somewhere and don't have a lot of time to apply and blend foundation.
If you're dry, need full coverage and are watching your pennies, this is a great option.

So, I have to admit I was in LOVE with this foundation until last week. It was my HG for stage makeup... as a performer at the college level, I used this product for every play or concert I was in.
And then last week, I spent more time under the stage lights in a single performance than ever before. And by the end of the week (dress rehearsals through the run of our play), my face was ANGRY. Not just a little redness... my toner BURNED. Many of the lotions I had that I occasionally used burned on my skin. My cheeks were an awful red color that was difficult to cover with any other makeup, including mineral powder.
While this product provides great coverage, I now have to find a new HG stage makeup within the next three weeks, because I can't wear this for two choir performances... not when we're going to be under the stage lights. As long as you don't have sensitive or borderline-sensitive skin (which I have) you should be fine using this product.

I have used this for years. It covers everything. I have tried many foundations, but I always come back to this. I apply with a damp sponge. You will not like this if you like a matte finish. It leaves a dewy finish.

Overall rating: Please note that my rating is based on only 1 application of the product. That being said, I think this may become an HG foundation option for me, especially in the winter. My skin is dry and is likely to enjoy a creamy foundation when the humidity drops. I applied this directly to my face and then blended it in with my large-sized Ecotools foundation brush. I used it only on areas of redness, and it covered them beautifully, with a light application, and blended fairly well. It was a tiny bit more work to apply this rather than my liquid or powder foundations, but the result was flawless porcelain-like skin! Light application is the key if your skin is already pretty good. I can also totally see how this would make a great concealer. My only caveat is that I can "feel" it a little bit on my skin, but it's not too bad. However, if you don't like the feel of something on your skin, or have oily skin, you might not like this.
Where did I buy this: Drugstore.com Web site.
Price: Between $7 and $8.
Packaging: Handy, fat, shiny black swivel-up tube.
Would I buy again: Maybe. I'll update after more applications.

I have been using this as a concealer for 2 years now and I love it. It covers all my acne scars and any breakouts I may have. I tried it once as a foundation for my whole face and it just looked cakey and then I tried it with a wet sponge, same thing. However I do love it as a concealer and this color works well with my fair skin, and it blends very well. I havent had a problem with it drying out on me.

I have to say that i absolutely love this foundation. I love taht it is in a stick form so i can take it jus about anywhere with me. I love the colors as well. i have such fair skin and on top of that i have lupus and this covers up the butterfly rash that comes along with it. I will recommend this to any one.
