I picked up pretty much all of the shimmer powders, and while some have been disappointments, this is definitely one of the better ones.
I don't detect much of a ginger scent to this which for me, is a good thing since i"ve never been fond of gingery smells ... the color on this though is fabulous. On my NC40 skintone, this imparts a nice golden bronze glow. It's not chunky (like caramel which i hated for the texture of it) ... but rather finely milled much like my beloved Cake & Honey powders. Slightly deeper in tone than Cake & Honey, those were more pale/golden, while gingersnap is more of a light golden bronze. Definitely delivers a gorgeous subtle glow and wears well. My only grip with UD powders is that I wish they made the packaging/puff larger so application was a little easier. All in all though, definitely a winner for me.

This one smells so gorgeous! Like sweet gingery biscuits! A nice bronze colour too which warms up my pale skin a bit.
I got a very small amount though and it is no way worth the retail price, but great if you can get it for cheap like I did!

RIS. I got this in a swap and I was super excited. I love the way ginger snap cookies smell. When I got it in the mail I was dissapointed, it smelled like pure maple syrup! I love the way the shimmer looked so I opted to wear it out one day. All day people were smelling me! The smell can be smelled from atleast 5 inches away. People kept saying why does it smell like syrup in here? And all I could do was start laughing. I smelled like a walking pancake house. Sadley this is up for swap. I am gona buy Marshmellow Body Powder instead mmmm

Many years ago, I bought the honey powder from Sephora at full retail price and loved in very much. (I don't get the pee smell everyone is talking about -see honey reviews-) Cute, fun and precious on a vanity table. I was in Marshalls about a year ago in the beauty section and spied a whole mess of other UD powders. I promptly screamed and yelled "BOO-WAH!" don't ask..lol..and found they were 4.99usd. hot dang, i bought them all...I ended up with gingersnap, caramel, cherry limeade(?) and peppermint. The others are nice but ginger snap is amazing! it smells like what i wanted the caramel to smell like. they leave a beautiful shimmer and i think they taste great! ( if you can find them as discount retail shops, they're also cheaper than novelty powders, if you know what i'm sayin ;) the only complaint i have is that I usually have to pull out the insert because the sifter gets clogged, but all in all, i love these little beauties!

I think I this is my favorite of UD's powders. It gives skin a beautiful bronze radiance without being over-the-top. It smells yummy and tastes like saccharine (just like the others) and makes a nice addition to a summery look.

The packaging is adorable, but I could barely get any of the powder out of the container. I'm not thrilled with the scent, and, while I understand that this powder is edible, it tastes pretty bad. I'm disappointed.

This and Cocoa are my favorite of these shimmers (of the ones I've tried). I think the flavor and scent of this powder is more accurate than most of this collection. I detected a ginger scent and it does taste vaguely cookie-like. It's a pretty, beige shimmer. It's not as dark as Cocoa, which is nice for my pasty white winter skin. The octagonal package is cute, but contains a lot less product than some of these shimmers.

This stuff is great. I'd say of all the UD body powders, this taste and scent is the most accurate. But then again, I hate seeing people complain that the scent isn't *just right. It's edible makeup and it tastes good--what do these people do, sit around eating it? LoL.
Anyway, it also has a very noticeable (not subtle, girls) shimmer that lights up your whole complexion. The package is very cute, a little octagon, and the tassle and puff are darling.
The shimmer is a golden tan that spreads over your body like a fine mesh of shimmeriness. Gets good reviews from boyfriends, as well.
I really like this powder, it's one of my favorites. It makes a great collectors item, and the color of this one is the most flattering on my tan skin--plus it goes with any outfit. (You gotta be wearing pink to wear Cherry Lemonade, I think, but you can wear this silvery-tan with any color).
Ok, ok, it's pricy, but you know what? You gotta indulge yourself sometime.

I have only given this 2 stars, one for the packaging (the usual gorgeous animal-print puff and a hexagonal bronzed box) and another for the shimmer (a lovely gold/beige). However I love ginger biscuits and this is why I bought this and like the other reviewers to me it smelt more like caramel (which I don't like). I tested this once and the smell was so strong that I could still smell it in the room days after I'd worn it. It probably wouldn't be that bad on, but I just can't force myself to open the box again because of the strong smell. I won't buy this one again but may buy another scent.

I like this. While the scent is more maple syrupy than actual gingersnap, I still like it. It can be used in place of Too Faced's Peek - a - Boo product( enhances cleavage with bronze sparkle). So overall, nice product.

Luckily, I bought this for $7 at Marshalls. Would I have paid full price for this? Hell no! For one thing, this has much less product than most of the other body powders, so I think the price should match accordingly.
This actually does smell a lot like UD's Caramel, which I also have. The color, however, is much nicer and the glitter isn't as chunky. It doesn't really come up on my pale skin, but on my *lovely* driver's tan, it gives me a nice, shimmery golden sheen. The taste is sweet, but not spicy, like Red Hot.
I wouldn't buy this again, because this will last me awhile and also, because it's discontinued.

This smells sooo good. Like the other reviews stated..there's really nothing gingersnap about it. It actually has a sweet caramel scent to it. Tastes sweet, but in a non specific way.
I see on UD.com that a lot of the body powders are now RIP items..so I'm curious as to wear UD will go with their body powders from here. Gingersnap could have survived..maybe had it been marketed as the caramel one lol
It's really pretty. I was afraid it was going to be too much of a bronzy sheen on me but it is actually a really natural looking light gold shimmer. Very pretty. The little puff is just so cute as well.
The packaging to these things really suck. Gingersnaps packaging isn't too bad, it doesn't fly everywhere like some others I have tried, still though, for the price they charge for these they could come up with waaaaaaay better packaging.

two teeny complaints. this scent is a bit overpoweringly sweet (more so than cake, honey and champagne) Luckily however, the scent dies down a bit a few minutes after application. Second complaint, although all the UD powders cost the same, this is one of the ones that comes with a lesser amount of product for the price. I can't complain too much though because a little really does go a long way. Lovely consistency, easy to get a subtle effect or pile it on if you want more intense shimmer. this color is a nice neutral gold that I can see working on most skin tones.

this one is truly yummy smelling. urban decay seems to get it right with the foody scents, where the fruity scents are seriously lacking.
it actually smells a bit more like caramel than the caramel powder does. its more of a dulce de leche/condensed milk kind of a scent. its creamy, heavy and rich, with a dash of soft ginger and a decent taste thats not as saccharine as some of the others.

I don't get "ginger" from the smell of this- it smells kind of caramelly to me, or something... I absolutely love the smell though, for some reason. I like that it actually has a scent when applied. It tastes decent too, for um, a body powder. (Sort of nonspecifically sweet.) Got it for $15, I think the full price is absurd. However the cuuuuuute packaging is evil, because I could see myself caving in and getting one for full price at some point. I mean, it smells good, it's sparkly, it has a leopard print furry powder puff... how absolutely irresistable for me! The sparkle is really quite pretty on; it's sort of a mix of silvery and beige shimmer, not too dark thank goodness. My mom fell in love with it (she too is a sucker for sparkly/smelly/leopardprinty things) and I'll be getting her one for mother's day. EDIT: Wretched boy. He doesn't like the smell of this one and bitches whenever I wear it! Bah, his sniffer is broken, this smells wonderful to me.

This is my 3rd ud shimmer body powder. I also have cake and red hot. I love the smell of this, it's a sweeter ginger smell (compared to origins or philosophy. The powder is not as sparkely as cake tho, I'm quite fair and thought this was a subtle high lighter, compared to the others I have. Won't need to buy again, the UD shimmers last a really long time, but this product does get Janet's holiday stamp of approval.
