I can't say enough great things about Kenra in general. This is one of my must-have products. No matter what damage I do to my hair (bleaching, color removal, coloring, etc) this always seems to undo the damage and make my hair super soft and shiny. The packaging is appealing and also dispenses the perfect amount of product. Bonus: Can be used on skin as well to moisturize. Oh yeah, and it smells awesome too!! :)

I do not use much hair product, but this smells amazing, I find actually that it makes my hair more frizzy when i apply it though :/

This silkening gloss was my introduction to the Kenra line and I really love their products. I have highlighted hair and, at times, it can get dull and dry looking so my stylist turned me on to this and I purchased the 2.2 oz bottle a couple of years ago. I use it once a week or so and a little bit goes a looong way. My hair is just below my sholuders and I only use a drop on the ends and am careful not to put it within a couple inches of my scalp because it will make my scalp oily if I apply it to the scalp area and my hair tends to be on the dryer side. I pump out maybe a dot the size of a quarter of a dime and then blow dry. The smell is a dream and somewhere between strawberries and cotton candy. As an added benefit this product makes my hands feel so soft and silky after I apply it to my hair. Just remember that a little goes a long way. I am still on my first bottle which I bought two years ago in April.

This makes your home blow-dry look a lot more finished -
This is a styling gloss, and if you use too much, it will definately make your hair look oily. A small dot - maybe 1/4 of a dime size - works well for my long, layered, thick but fine and straight colored/highlighted hair. I get my hair mostly dry and put this on midway to the ends, which smooths, shines, and makes your 'do look "done".
As a reference : For daily styling, I use B&B's Styling Lotion (sprayed on towel-dried hair) and then a couple sprays of BigSexyHair Root Pump on the crown, in conjunction with this product. Then blow-dry.
I do agree that the cap comes off very easily, and one time I dropped this and the whole top broke off, which was disappointing to say the least. And the stuff isn't cheap. But if you can keep from breaking the bottle, it will last forever.
The scent is amazing. Beautiful packaging, too.

I bought this serum a couple days ago, & it's alright. I like Paul Mitchell's super skinny serum way better than this. This serum can make my hair greasy easily, & it's hard for my hair to get greasy. I like the smell of this serum. It smells like strawberries. It's very moisturizing, especially for the ends of my hair. I would use this from the middle of my hair to the ends, not at the top. I actually think it protects my hair from my flat iron. The bottle is very classy, but the cap falls off easily. I've probably dropped it a million times already, & I've only had it 2 days. It does kind of weigh my hair down, but I probably used too much of it. It's expensive, I got it for about $18. Overall, I've used better products, so I probably won't buy this again.

I've used up one bottle of this and am on my second. I have really terrible over processed hair due to bleaching [from black to red to black to platinum blond xD] so I need to have a nice smoothing serum with me at all times.
It has a wonderful smell and it makes my unruly, dried out "hair" much much smoother. It isn't perfect but I haven't found one that can do better than this serum. It isn't greasy at all, it makes my hair feel more like hair than if I didn't use it haha
I LOVE IT. I'm planning on buying the professional size because I'll be using this for as long as they make them xD
edit: I realized that I love this product solely for the smell! I've found other asian brand hair products that only require one pump to make my hair silky smooth!

TERRIBLE. did everything but reduce frizz. i blow dried my hair after using this, there's just a multitude of static electricity in my hair i couldn't even run my fingers through my hair without having my hair still straight out after. will NEVER waste on money on this junk again. taking it back to Ulta for sure.

I bought the sampler 1oz for $9 at my Trade Secret a week ago. I'm really liking it so far. This silkening serum doesn't leave hands greasy at all, which is a big + for me because I hate having to wash my hands every time I put a new product in my hair.

The only thing i truly like is the smell other than that is just alright. It doesn't add shine but it does help eliminate frizz, make hair smoother when used prior to heat and adds a bit of softness to my hair. Also it doesn't leave hair feeling oily or greasy, it actually absorbs in super fast, especially on the skin, so then you kinda have to use a lot cuz it absorbs into your hands fast (kinda a freaky thought). Oh, another thing is be carful when you pump it out cuz when it comes out it kinda shoots out.

I hate this stuff, no matter how many different ways I try to work with it. It was reasonably priced from a hairdresser who recommended it, but sadly it makes my straight, thick and non-greasy hair look stringy and dull. Even a tiny amount looks terrible. Glad it worked for others, but it definitely did not for me! Instead, I found Big Shine spray from Big Sexy Hair (?) At an outlet and am much happier. Yuck!

I just love this product! My hair stylist used this on my hair, and it made my hair look nice, shiny, and healthy looking. I bought one for myself, and use this product after I finish blow drying and straightening my hair. A little goes a long way, so don't use too much or your hair will just end up looking like an oily mess! It smells like strawberries to me, and I get alot of compliments on how my hair looks and smells. It's a bit pricey, but worth the splurge if you want nice looking hair!

Love this! Smells amazing and makes my hair super silky. I love that you only need a little bit and this isn't too heavy on my hair. Smells like strawberries and champagne or something like that! I rated it a 3 on packaging quality because I'm prone to dropping my hair products and I just feel like the bottle may crack soon!

Love, love, love!! This is now my favorite silkening gloss!! I used to use super skinny by Paul Mitchell, and I am really liking this one better. It smells soooo good!! And of my gosh, your hair will literally feel like silk, I promise. It does not weigh your hair down or make it greasy, just don't overdo with product. I have highlighted hair that is thin textured but still I have a lot of hair. This helps my hair to stay super healthy and I get asked a lot by coworkers what I use on my hair to help it look so shiny and healthy. If you are thinking about purchasing, go ahead, you will not regret it. Again, Paul Mitchell's super skinny is also great, but between the two I like this one much better.

I fell in love with this product when my stylist used it on my hair once. So I happily spent $17 on the product. My hair smelled soooo good and I looked great. Well, after I began using at home, the love affair ended. Yes, my hair smelled great for a little while (scent definitely fades away) when I used it. But, you can only use a tiny amount or your hair will look greasy. It doesn't really add much shine and I don't really notice much difference in my hair if I use or don't use. So, this product is overpriced and not worth it. I would not buy again.

I looooove this serum. It smells really fantastic and a tiny bit goes a long way. It also feels great on your skin. Yes, it is kind of spendy, but my bottle has lasted me quite a long time and is still going (maybe a year now, I think?). To be fair, I don't use it every day, but one squirt is plenty for my hair. I spread it evenly on my fingers and then run it over and through my hair, avoiding the roots so as not to make them look greasy. if there's extra left on my fingers, I rub it on my neck (as I am scared of rubbing things on my acne-prone face) and it feels great. Will definitely buy again when I run out.

Great product which leaves my hair smelling so sweet and adds great shine ....... I like to mix a few pumps with a styling creme (Kenra's Texture Taffy is a great one) and scrunch on my hair to give my waves more oommphh......... I am addicted to shine products and Kenra's Platinum Silkening Gloss is a good high-end one (while pricey, it is worth the extra dollars.)

A hairstylist used this on me several years ago, and I fell in love with it! It makes my hair incredibly soft and shiny, but doesn't weigh it down (unless I use too much...that's only happened a few times). Plus, the smell is amazing! I don't remember this being super inexpensive, but it lasts an insanely long time...I'm still on my first bottle, and have been using it forever...probably why I can't remember how much it costs.

Best serum I have ever tried and strawberry smelling to boot. Love it. About to rebuy and I never do that. This seems to keep the humidity out of your blow out. Its not a matter of getting sleek hair for a day, when I use this my hair stays frizzless for 3-4 days. It is also non-greasy and hard to put too much on. I use 2 pumps for BSL hair that is thick. Try it!
