I bought this product mostly because it was not tested on animals. However, I didn't read the ingredients closely enough, and this is made with palm oil. The cultivation of palm oil is devastating to the habitat of many animal species, including the orangutang, so the not tested on animals thing is completely useless.
As a product, this made me SERIOUSLY BREAK OUT. I'm talking giant, pus filled zits where I applied it, which was in a ring around my mouth and nose. I looked like a pimple bear! The only animal that needs to be endangered. Yeah and the pot thing is gross.

I purchased this though vitacost online for around $12. ($10 off when you sign up a new account using referral sweetestbinbin@hotmail.com, total purchase must be $30+) The first time after I put a little bit of it on my face, I could not believe it. Pimples shrank in front of my eyes within a minute. I even suspected steroid contain in this product because of the immediate results. So I went online and checked as many reviews I could find. There are people who's been using this product for years, so my suspicion was very likely to be false.
I have extreme acne-prone skin. Finding a good moisturizer that's natural, toxic free, and non-oily is like hitting the jackpot for me. This one might be it!
Sad example from me for you be watch out. I previously used some cream and some other stuffs from an expensive skin care line which had hidden steroid contains in their products to boost their effect. After a short while when I stopped the steroid product, my face broke out like crazy. I was told to wait out so the skin would recover from the substance.
I also saw from the reviews that people are experiencing breakouts, aka big zits, after using this product for a while. I remembered from some source, claiming that's the skin's natural detoxify process, a reaction, after going through it, your skin will return to normal. To me, it's worth a try.
Would want a package with pump just to be sure not to introduce germs to the cream.

I love this moisturizer. It smells great (it has a sweet, fruity smell), it absorbs quickly, doesn't leave my skin greasy at all, and it makes my skin feel perfectly moisturized. If it could control oil, it would be absolutely perfect.

Clogs pores. My skin doesn't tolerate silicone and lanolin. However, this moisturizer lasts awhile and can be found at target. It smells good, and it really does moisturize and brighten skin. I also like that the packaging doesn't use a pump. Most of the ingredients aren't natural though.

Alba Botanica should be ashamed for touting all natural claims! Their ingredient lists are appalling! I don't even know where to begin. (Pick an ingredients that sound like a chemical and look just it up.) Horrible, horrible, horrible! I will be opening a health food store soon and you can guarantee I won't be carrying the Alba Botanica line on my shelves. I used this specific product for a month awhile back, before I became more fluent in cosmetic ingredients...and to think I wondered why my skin got worse. Ha!

I have an oily tzone, slightly dry around my cheeks and mouth area. My skin is dehydrated as well. This moisturizer is lightweight, has a light fresh fragrance and is easily absorbed. My skin do not get oily, but it does not have any oil control either (not that I'm expecting it) I need a hydrating serum underneath due to my dehydrated skin, just the moisturizer itself is not enough. I'm half way through the tub now, and did not notice any significant improvement to my skin. I'd recommend this moisturizer if you are looking for a basic, lightweight moisturizer. I've been using this product for about three months now, and I really like it. I came across this at the drugstore in search for a good moisturizer during the winter time because my Clinique DD gel wasn't moisturizing enough. The main thing, which I am grateful for, is that it doesn't break me out. It sinks into the skin quickly and doesn't feel heavy at all. My face is pretty oily so by mid day it's noticeable, but this moisturizing hasn't made my face oiler. It's got a pleasant scent which I've gotten used to. It comes in a jar form, which some may say it's not very sanitary, but I don't mind it since I would able to use up all of the product this way.
I do recommend you guys to give this a try to see how it is for your skin. I was skeptical in trying a new moisturizer since I am prone to breakouts, but I was drawn by the words "oil-free" "aloe" and "green tea". I do plan on repurchasing this product when I am finished with my current one.

i bought this product a month ago, and i use it twice a day. i swear to god, it doesnt even look like ive used it, ive used barely any because a little goes a long way. i love that its natural and that they dont test on animals. this is SERIOUSLY the only moisturizer that i can use, it doesnt break out my acne prone skin and it controlled my oily skin. i havent had to blot my face since i started using it. the price is on the high side being 18$, but honestly, this thing doesnt even look like its been touched and its been a month so i can see it lasting a long time, so really the price is worth it. i can not stress how much i recommend this product.

this is the best moisturizer i have EVER used. seriously- i have the pickiest skin- sensitive, acne prone, combination skin. the first thing youll notice about this product is the texture: an amazing gel-cream that you can apply thin or thick depending on the level of moisture you need. this stuff is also great under makeup. as another reviewer mentioned, this is like a drink of water for your skin. it banishes tight, flakey skin. i have used this moisturized for years, and i will never ever switch- i love love love this stuff!

I don't use this product anymore, but I still consider this to be one of the best oil-free moisturizers I ever used. The scent is pleasing and smells floral. It is lightweight and silky so I recommend to oily/combo/normal skin types. It may not be heavy enough for dry skin

This is the best moisturizer. It makes your skin feel like it just drank a glass of water, without looking oily. I have oily/combo/acne prone skin, and it really helps at keeping my skin hydrated and clear. I have been using it for 6 years now, on and off. When I stopped using it, my skin was dry and broke out a bit. But when I returned, it really helped decrease any appearance of fine lines, and my skin got clearer. I am a licensed Estetician and I always recommend this product to my clients, for any skin type. If it does make you oily, just use it at night.

This cream is so amazing!! It makes your skin so soft and smooth. It wears very well under makeup or as a night cream. I have combination skin with some oil around my t-zone but this cream doesn't make my skin look greasy at all when I wear it during the day. It also makes my skin have a nice glow to it and it smells so good and fresh. This cream along with other alba products have made my skin so clear soft and amazing I love it! I highly recommend!

This is my go-to night cream during the summers. It’s light, doesn’t irritate my skin and absorbs nicely. It does seem to break me out just a little but unfortunately most moisturizers do. The price seemed like a lot when I first purchased, but a little goes a long way and the tub lasts a long time.

I purchased this moisturizer because it was oil-free and organic. I do try to stick to organic/natural products if they are the type of product that will be absorbed by my body/not rinsed off... i.e., moisturizer, body lotion, deodorant, etc. I had really high hopes for this, and it does do a great job of moisturizing, and a little goes a LONG way so it isn't actually that pricey for the amount you get, but it's just a little too heavy for me personally. If i use too much, I do break out. Sadface. :(

Fantastic product! I've tried several other moisturizers before and have always found that they cause my oily/combination skin to break out. Not this product. It is non-greasy and sinks into your skin fast leaving a beautiful sheen on your skin but no slick or oily residue. I've worn it for 3 days so far and it hasn't caused any breakouts or even little bumps. I'm so happy--HG status it is! Plus the fact that it is not tested on animals is a huge bonus for me. :)

Great moisturizer, very lightweight yet effective. I have somewhat oily skin, and I know a moisturizer is good when my face doesn't produce oil on its own (when it's not moisturized enough, it will produce sebum to compensate). I use it both day and night, day under my sunblock and night as a sole moisturizer.

Wears excellently under makeup and heavy duty sunblock. Wore well on me in very hot weather. Consistency is lighter than most day creams. I have acne prone skin and this didn't clog my pores, although that varies from person to person. Has fragrance but faded very shortly after application. Unlike some "lighter" formulas, this noticeably moisturized my skin.

I am really enjoying this face moisturizer. At first seemed like the size of the small jar wouldnt last very long but a little goes an insanely long way. I use the tiniest bit and it smooths generously over my entire face and declite. I live in the desert and this gives plenty of moisture to my skin, sinks in nicely and wears nicely under makeup..Alba is organic and cruelty free.

Terrific moisturizer, works well under liquid and cream foundation. This is absolutely the only moisturizer which does not break me out. Use a fresh Q-Tip to scoop out product without contaminating the product in the jar.
