I switched to this from Proactive after 8 years. I just wanted to find something new. DEAR GOD! it broke me out everywhere! I even got pimples on my eyebrows that it was hard to fill them in!! I got big old red pimples on the side of my face that eventually left a big acne scar. I will never ever buy this again! this was horrible! and I don't even have sensitive skin. Plus, it did not help with oil control.

I bought this simply because I needed a skin care system that I could use every day without having to worry about harsh chemicals that wouldn't even help my skin/acne problems. I have combination skin and it's hard to find something that works, but I can say this seaweed starter kit did wonders for my skin! I got less acne and my black heads were 10X easier to remove which was a huge plus for me. I really like the Seaweed Deep Cleansing Facial Wash. You don't need to use much and it soaps up really nice and makes your face feel really clean and fresh. I also really like the Seaweed Clarifying Toner. It gets rid of anything left on my face that the facial wash left behind and gets my face ready for either my day cream or my night cream. It also makes your face feel tingly which means it's working! I do like the Seaweed Clarifying Night Treatment, it feels really nice and fresh on my face and almost feels like it sets everything for when I'm sleeping; but it didn't seem to do anything for my skin but moisturize (I would like a bit more out of a night treatment; possibly the Tea Tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion.) The only thing I didn't like was the Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream. Every time I put it on; especially around my nose and chin area, it always seemed to get oily. I'm not sure why because I made sure to only use a little bit and even tried using less and less and that didn't even help with the oiliness. For a day cream, I think I would need to go with the Tea Tree line as well.

I got my starter kit when it was on sale for $12 which was a great deal! Regular price in Canada is $25 plus tax. I wouldn't buy the kit again because I don't travel much; and after trying it, I now know that I have to mix and match by using the Seaweed products and the Tea Tree products. I will continue to buy these two product lines though. They work great, they are all natural, good for your skin and a decent price.

I tried this one when i went to Singapore next summer.I heard many good raves about this and i bought a travel set with cleanser,this toner,day and night cream. Well,when i first used the cleanser& toner,i feel refresh and love its smell.But i found it make my skin drier,and my skin became oilier after 2 hours. The day cream is more better,it is lightweight so absorb very quickly but my skin still oilier after few hours.I did not use the night cream so i cant review it .Btw,i still like the body shop brand b/c they have starter kit in all line for us to try.

This is a good value for the price (I believe it was around 18.50?) and a great way to try this line.
I was excited to buy this and give it a whirl to help my minor acne and dryness. Unfortunately, it reacted badly with my combo skin and caused a terrible breakout explosion on my forehead.
I wanted to love this... back to the drawing board.

I never had much luck with any of the facial systems I purchased in the past, but the seaweed line works perfect for my combination skin and leaves it feeling clean and fresh. I love the smell of it and I am sure, if I would keep up with it religiously every morning "and" evening, I would get even better results, but whatever.

I remember buying the Starter Kit for a rather expensive price, but it's worth it. After using it I just had to buy the actual products! Now, I have the whole seaweed line and totally swear by it! Nothing else will ever touch my skin, unless I find something better.

I think this kit would be a great gift to any friend or family member with combination skin. And a friend of mine was actually going to buy it for me, but I had been faster than her. Dang it! ;)

What'a thre bog deal about this product? I couldn't find my beloved drug store moisturizing soap anywhere so asked what they had for dry skin. The face wash still made my skin dry so I threw it in with my regular hand wash gel to use it up. The clarifying toner is OK, nothing special for the skin but I do like to throw some on my hands and rub it over my neck with my lotion for the scent alone. Its basically just scented water. The clarifying night treatment gel after cleansing my face left it as dry as if I hadn't used lotion at all. The whole package i sbasically a sweet smelling gimmick. I would have rather spent my money on a perfume that had the same fragrance. Definitely not for dry skin. I;m guessing it;s better for oily skin.

I love this line and I am very thankful for body shop that they have this in starter set for us to try on the majority of their seaweed line. This one contains the Facial Cleanser, Toner, Night Treatment and Mattifying day cream. I find everything useful except for the mattifying day cream (I have a review on this). Plus the cyanic mesh pouch is soooo cute! I kept all the tiny bottles so I can use this whenever I travel.

I bought this trial set. Glad that this range is available on sample size. I have tons of TBS skincare at home, so bought this to try. I hate it at first, just started using it again cos I have lots of clogs on my nose area. It works very well, my clogs seems lesser, skin also less oily. I uses few range together, Vit E, Seaweed, Aloe, TTO, all works quite well for my skin needs. I really love the foaming cleanser, the toner and the day cream the best for Seaweed range. Would get the trial set again once I am done with my current set cos it is really good for travelling. I am super nuts about TBS stuff now:):)

I have got soo many skin care products that i never knew which to settle with. so i used a different one everyday. then one day i decided to take a quick glance in The Body Shop n see what sales i can find. the Lady there helped me out so much in chosing this line for me.
I've been using it for a week now. n its unbelieveable how incredible my skin feels. I've used the most organic products i could fine. but nothing like this. I have acne prone skin. n believe it or not. ever since i started using this product, no breakouts. except for the ones that already started on my face, that this product help to deminish. it's amazing.
i also think the little wand helps alot. to brush away the dry skin from the face. n the way your skin feels soo alive and tingly after the wash, n then the toner refreshes the skin, does not leave it with a dry feeling what so ever. and the day lotion is ooo sooo soft n light.. i just LOVE LOVE LOVE itt!!! :)
if your very disisive about the product you use, TRY THIS!! believe me, you'll be inpressed.

I move around a lot due to being in the military so I have to get used to different climates. I cannot tell you how well this line works everywhere I go! I love it! For Arizona or the desert I use the day cream, but when I'm in more humid places like Georgia or Florida I use the day lotion instead. Also they just came out with a new mask and I got a sample of it before they could actually sell it. LOVE! It is like your typical clay type mask but not nearly as drying. I only have to use it maybe once or twice a week and it is amazing! It really zaps blackheads too. And the little kit is great because you can refill it with the larger sizes. Some other lines make the packaging more difficult so you can't do this. My combo/oily skin has never been clearer and I get soooo many compliments on my complexion. I highly recommend this to everyone with combination/oily skin because you can tweak the regimen just slightly to make it perfect for you. Hope this helps. Have a great day!

Side note: Holy crap my skin hates this during the winter. Not moisturizing enough. I will only repurchase this in the summer time.

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE TBS new seaweed line!!!!!!!! I have basically oily skin, and this stuff rocks in every way. The facial wash gets ALL my makeup off and leaves such a nice tingle behind, as does the toner. Cleans SO well, my face feels squeaky clean but not stripped and dry. The mattifying moisture lotion is the BEST and leaves my skin so soft. I have found my skincare line!!! I hope they continue making it forever.......

Let me start by saying I LOVE the Seaweed line…and here’s why: After purchasing TBS’s Tea Tree Oil Blemish Stick and absolutely fell in love with its performance (it will dry up a blemish over night), I thought the rest of the Tea Tree Oil line must be just as good, so I bought it (cleanser, toner, moisturizer and scrub) and YUCK! What a disappointment. The Tea Tree Oil line broke me out and made me super oily! When I took the Tea Tree Oil prods back the very helpful sales rep steered me in the direction of the Seaweed line. I reluctantly bought the starter kit (smaller sizes of the Purifying Face Wash, Purifying Toner, Shine Control Moisturizer and sample packets of the Foaming Facial Scrub) and to my surprise, I absolutely LOVE this line. I have sensitive, breakout-prone skin and the only thing I had found to keep the breakouts in check was Pro Activ Solution (which stops working over time and leaves my skin somewhat dehydrated). The Seaweed line covers all the bases…it’s gentle, cleans well without over drying, clears up and prevents breakouts…and without dehydrating my skin. I have tried and spent a fortune on MANY skin care lines only to be disappointed. The nominal cost of this line and the fact it works has made me a believer in the benefits of seaweed. It’s definitely worth a try…IMHO.
