I bought this perfume during my first year of university and thought it was beautiful and sophisticated. But the more I wore it the more I began to feel it was a little too sharp and fruity. My fears were confirmed when one day in class a girl I didn't know made a comment about the scent of "cheap lip gloss" permeating the room. There was no doubt in my mind that she was referring to the perfume I was wearing, and I have never worn it since. However, the bottle is a work of art and looks lovely on my dresser.

This review is for Apparition Sky. I was pleasantly suprised by this fragrance. It starts off with apple dominating, a crisp fresh apple scent, not too sweet. Lotus and light Freesia emerge and create a soft watery floral. A very soft musk anchors the notes. Very fresh, pretty and well-blended. It is compared to Light Blue but is unique. Also, although similiar to that vein of fragrance (Light Blue, Eclat d'Arpege, Scent of Peace) the staying power is better than all 3. The staying power is not amazing but I suppose a fragrance cannot be "fresh" and "light" yet "long-lasting" ... Anyhow, I really love this frag! Uplifting for winter, perfect for summer, and ok for the office since it is subtle =)

This is one of my favorite fragrances. It is very unique and I get many compliments about it. And I lobe being the only one who has heard of it! I bought it at Sephora the first time, but they stopped selling it. I have bought it online 2 other times, but I am worried it might be a knock off. Does anyone know any store that still sells it?

this perfume is fresh and has a clean scent, i think it is good for every day use, not very strong, it faded away after 20 minutes but not so unique, the kind of smell that you can smell every day.

I had a very difficult time deciding how to rate this scent. I kept sniffing my wrist every 10 minuts and changed my mind after each sniff as the fragrance was constantly evolving and changing. the first 15 minutes i got a wonderful fruity caramel scent then it changed into a grapefruity smell- which i dont like, then it dried down to a minty peppery fruity smell and after several hours i was left only with pappermint, so i decided that it was TOO modern for me.

I tried this the other day at Neiman's and the bottle is nice, but ON ME, it smelled SO SWEET & CANDYISH. Raspberry cough syrup, my son said. I thought, maybe in the drydown it would get better, not really. Oh well...I tried. Hot Couture is much nicer for a Raspberry scent, has more kick to it. (spicer)

This is a cologne-y, alcohol-y raspberry. With my chemistry it doesn’t settle well and is too bright . But, oh- the bottle is so cute!

Imagine a big dose of red cayenne pepper mixed in with sweet rasberry liquer, oh, and some patcholi thrown in for good measure. If this scent was a food it would be so hot and intense it would burn your mouth. I'm surprised that some reviews have stated this doesnt last long. It lasted all day and into the night on me.

I have tried this fragrance several times. At first I was in love, the second I still was in love and wanted to buy it, then I tried it once again and I still liked it but didn´t wanna buy it. Now I find this perfume being very nice and sweet but that is all... I think I don´t wanna smell like if I´ve just showered in raspberry juice! :)

On me this is a rosey, musky, crisp raspberry. The raspberry is very pronounced but sophisticated for a fruity scent.

(Inhales deep at the wrist) :) Well that was a good way to begin I think.... To my nose Apparition is a magical, fairy-tale like, fragrance that blends well with my natural skin smell... It reminds me of being in a Butterfly Conservatory and watching all the colorful butterflies all over the place fluttering their wings here and there and everywhere. Colorful bowls of freshly cut fruit placed randomly all over the garden... tropical misty air full of wonderful aromas mixing flowers and fruits together... Knitting fairy-tale and reality into one... Apparition is a very feminine, charming and sensual fragrance....and to my nose quite unforgettable. The tops notes of raspberry liqueur, so creamy and smooth, and sweet with a bigtime yum-factor, mingling with cayenne pepper to create a very energetic and almost thrilling atmosphere -the exact reason why I think of butterflies when I spray this on. But then shortly into it my heart swoons at the first notes of rose and passion flower charming everyone around... my co-workers stop by my office to inhale deeply and walk away smiling... sometimes they say nothing, just smile on their way, as if they were able to take away with them a little piece of that special, magical fairy-tale feeling... But as much as I adore the opening with the cheerful, unpredictable butterflies and heart notes with sexy, tiny fairies in yellow, pink and blue dresses, the base notes are just spectacular! Deep and mysterious with the marriage of seductive almondy heliotrope princess dressed in a gossamer white dress with silver shoes and raven hair, and depth and richness of patchouli, dressed like a groom for their wedding day... I would definitely repurchase Apparition again...

probably my favorite perfume tied with Marc Jacobs. just got the sample at random and tried it after shrugging it off as an obscure perfume I'd never heard of. so glad I tried it! I love the mix of spiciness with a really saturated fruit. I get lots of compliments from strangers who come near me when I'm wearing it, and it lasts even after I've slept with it on!

This fragrance is great and someone out there is going to love it because it's exactly what they're looking for(I refer you to the reviews stating it's a sophisticated fruity scent; if you like Mure et Musc, you'll probably like this). Overall, Apparition smells nice and is sexy without being too much, perhaps something appropriate for the woman who wants to maintain sex appeal in a conservative office atmosphere, but I prefer Mure et Musc 10 to 1 over this. INGREDIENTS: Passion flower, cayenne pepper, raspberry liquor

Yummy fruity scent that makes me feel ultra feminine when I'm wearing it. I smell raspberry, rose and baby powder and find it to be a sweet but not overly sweet, cozy scent. If you're looking for a semi-sweet fruity/oriental then this is for you.

UPDATE 9 Feb 06: One more lippie, because it's really a great fruity-oriental! I'm happy that I discovered this fine Ungaro fragrance!!! A winner!!! - Today I smelled Apparition by Ungaro. The name is stupid, not tempting and the innovative, bold bottle looks not very nice. But the fragrance is BEAUTIFUL and that's for me the most important thing. A complex and very pleasant fruity-oriental scent! There are so many fruity-fragrances on the market, but Apparition stands out. Very well blended cocktail! Sexy, yummy and ultra-feminine. A happy and erotic scent. Not for wallflowers.

Smells so good! I recently gave up on my BBW old Mulberry Spice scent since my brother told me I stunk to high heaven and had to get a new wintry scent. So, we found this which is similar but a little more grown up. Nice and warm and has a sort of spicy, fruity, scent. Overall, very nice.

This is awful. It gets a little better after about 20 minutes, but on me there's just too much going on. I think it's too peppery. And there's patchouli in this: I should have known better.

This product is just okay. Immediately after spraying, the scent is (to me) almost repulsive. It smells similar BBW's Sun Ripened Raspberry, but cheaper somehow. Like an overdone raspberry scented restroom air-freshener. After the dry down, however, the scent is actually quite nice. It softens to a sugary sweet, high-class raspberry confection scent. (Incidentally, a grown-up and womanly raspberry scent can indeed be found here if that's all one is looking for). What's disappointing is that I don't get any other notes. The cayenne pepper (which I was excited about), rose, passion flower, and patchouli are nowhere to be found. The fragrance overall is far less interesting and complex than I was hoping.

Very warm, sexy, raspberry musk-y type smell. I only have a mini, but I fully plan on purchasing a large bottle.
Update: The new Euphoria by Calvin Klein smells exactly like this on me, so I won't be buying Euphoria.
