Smoke is a blue-toned silvery grey cream shadow that is like a cross between Stila's Shore and Twilight powder eyeshadows.
Blue-toned grey shadows tend to be more miss than hit on me (I'm netural toned), but Smoke works well on me and doesn't have the 'disco ball' factor that silvery eyeshadows tend to have.
Today I'm wearing it with Stila's Cobalt Smudge Pot to line.

I love mousse pots but am not entirely crazy about this colour - i was hoping for more dark silvery blue colour but on my skin tone the blue comes through way more than the silver. It looks great smoothed over the lid, then press lightly with floofy brush Stila all over shimmer eyes in colour No 8 - this brings out more silver, and for an even smokier look, I use Nars black glitter eye shadow in teh crease. Love the texture and quality.

I'd been looking for eyeshadow mousse for a while. I saw this in a beauty magazine with good comments a while ago but still didn't get one until recently. :) I got it yesterday and used it straight away. I've actually read the comments on here before getting it. The colour is pretty and It's really easy to apply on my eye-lid. Excellent quality. I am liking the Stila makeup!

This is a lot prettier on than I thought it would be. It's a cool metallic blue-gray. It's light enough to be used as a wash with a tiny bit of white eyeshadow in the inner corners and browbone, but could also be used just in the crease with a lighter shade all over the lid. I could also see wearing this all over with a really dark grey or blue in the crease for a smoky eye. It's cool-toned so it may not suit every skin tone. But I will say that I'm pale and this isn't too much for me, and it's surprisingly flattering on my warm brown eyes (sometimes cool shades clash with the warm tones in my eyes.) Overall it's a pretty color and fairly versatile.

I'd been wanting to try a shadow pot for a while, and my very first one was *Smoke*. I loved the texture and how easily this eyeshadow glided on. It took about 10 seconds and my eyes looked great, much easier than normal eyeshadow! This wore pretty well, it did start fading a bit after 6-7 hrs but I didn't use a primer.
My only complaint about this shadow pot is the color. In the pot this looks like a cool silver with a hint of light blue. On my hand, this is how the color showed up. On my lids however, the product is actually blue. Not silver at all, but a straight light/medium blue. It still looked nice and actually made my blue eyes pop, but I don't find myself reaching for it everyday since it is...blue.

i rave about these pots cause i'm so crap at applying eye shadow. i turn to these everytime over my stila 6 pallet eye shadows ... sigh ...

anyway, this is a really nice silvery grey, blue colour ... looks very groomed and polished.

I love *smoke*. I usually wear neutral shadows, so this is a change for me. On my lid, this is the perfect shade of shimmery silver-grey-blue that can look different depending on the lighting. (Looks bluer in natural light - greyer indoors). It has just the right amount of shimmer to it. I'm PPP and this is perfect for a slightly smokey eye. It's just enough color and darkness to add depth. I wear it with *honey* on the browbone. With Urban Decay *Primer Potion*, this lasts all day without smudging or creasing. UPDATE: I started using this as a liner, too - and it works wonderfully! I do a thicker line on the upper lid, to give color. And a thinner smudged line on the bottom. Works beautifully and makes my green eyes glow.

First of all, my ideas on eye mousse by stila: i call them lazy man's e/s since they are so easy to blend w/other e/s or mousses, use (use your fingers!), easy to build color (just add more) and last all day. :) Smoke is a grey-dark blue (but more to the greyish than blue) color.....great for smokey eye look. I use this with my MAC freshwater or deep denim to emphasize the blue more on my mmm skin.

Really loving this eye mousse!! I have oily eyelids and this stuff really lasts. I love the Smoke and Amber color, although I use Amber sparingly and on the brow bone. The Smoke is a nice gray color without a lot of frost. I apply Smoke and then set with a Stila eyeshadow over the top. I've gotten a ton of compliments. I have green/gray eyes.

While a neat idea in a pretty package, i was dissappointed that this color went on bright silver rather than a nice pewter which is what i was hoping for.. it wore decently well and applied nicely.. i just dont like how the color came out.. would buy another color perhaps with this color differential in mind..

Smoke is a shimmery gray-silver with a little navy blue undertone. It looks pretty dark in the pot, but it is so sheer when it applies on my eyes. The texture is wonderful -- light and airy. It's never creased on me, even I usually wear it for more than 8 hours. The shimmer is subtle enough to wear during day time.

This and amber were two of the colors that didn't suit my MMM skin/dark hair/dark eyes. I was hoping smoke would help give me the smoky dark grey look but instead it looks like an ordinary sheer grey with a slight dark blue undertone. The shimmer isn't as apparent in this one and the e/s itself is very sheer, as are all these Stila eyeshadow pots. Nice texture--thats why I gave it a 2.
