This is a gorgeous shimmery neutral eyeshadow that can be worn alone or with other shades. The only problem I have with it though is that this shadow faded away after only a few hours that I definitely had to reapply. This is not the first time I have encountered that with a Clinique shadow. Again, as with all of the Clinique products I have used in the past few years, I continue to wonder why do I still give this brand a chance, only to be disappointed later on by the dated quality of the product? I believe it is time for me to say goodbye to Clinique. I feel they are still behind in the times with the consistency and formulas of their cosmetics compared to other brands who have pioneered a particular product or continue to keep on their toes and pave the way for newer, up-to-date colors and quality.

How have I NOT reviewed my HG shadow before? This is my nirvana. This is my muse. This is my reason I even try to wear eyeshadow today. I got a quad over the summer that featured this and KNEW it was my holy grail shade and snapped up another one. I'd grab 10 if I had to. If I want my personal look, I grab this, urban decay toasted in the crease, wet n wild creme liner on top, and covergirl lashblast to finish in an immediate school look. I recommend this gorgeous, sorta shimmer goldy-champagne-with-a-hint-of-pink shadow to each and every person out there. If you haven't found your holy grail lid shade yet, I would like to introduce you to Clinique lucky penny. You'll be best friends for quite a while.

This is my go-to eyeshadow for a really light look. The eyeshadow is creamy and pigmented. It's not exactly too coppery-toned. It has a nice touch of pink tones and heavy shimmers in it which makes it so wearable for everyday use.
You cannot go wrong with this eyeshadow shade, pop it on your lids with a dark brown crease and one coat of mascara would make a very pretty look. The shimmers are very fine, so it's no problem.
I also use this sometimes to be a highlighter for my cheeks, when I want to amp up my look a little.
I would definitely repurchase this item. I got this eyeshadow from my mother, because she don't use eyeshadows for work anyway.

A while back I went to Belk at the makeup counter hoping to find some new makeup to replace my drugstore brands. She reccomended this eyeshadow to me. She said it brings out blue eyes so I gave it a try. I absolutely love this! The color is just like a new penny! A very shimmery copper/golden color. It last a pretty good while and it does crease unless you use a primer or concealer on you eyelids. Overall I love it and totally reccomend it!

Love this colour! It's so versatile and can be used in so many looks. I also feel that it really compliments my blue eyes perfectly.
Age: 30-35 Skin: Combination, Fair-Medium Hair: Red, Curly Eyes: Blue
I picked this up at the last minute at a sample sale about . four years ago/ I think it was fate; it's now my go-to colour. For me, it's a neutral with a bit of a kick and easy to dress up or down. I often use it on its own, but perhaps just as often with a dark brown in the crease and brown eyeliner on my waterline.
Age: 25-29 Skin: Acne-prone, Tan Hair: Black Eyes: Brown
This is a very nice shimmery neutral color that can blend with almost any color.

I have a soft spot for Clinique because it was my first real makeup purchase when I was 12. I also used the same Clinique shade all through high school (every single day!) and have now come full circle finding this and using it pretty much everyday too. I dabble in other brands but I find myself coming back to Clinique for my everyday shade, no matter what it is.
After going through a year or so of loving full MAC makeup looks everyday (dramatic, multiple colours, etc), I realized I couldn't keep it up when attending college. With early classes and co-op programs that kept me away from home for 14+ hours - not to mention realizing that dramatic makeup doesn't really suit me for everyday - I needed simplify my routine to save time. Enter: Lucky Penny.
This shadow, despite its name, is definitely more of a light pink champagne colour as opposed to overly orange, copper or brown. It's incredibly shimmery but in a beautiful, non-glittery way. I use it alone all over my lid, blend it with a highlight under my brow, and use a brown eyeshadow as my liner and POOF, done. It looks amazingly put together, and makes your eyes glow and stand out. You notice how pretty your eyes look, not how pretty your eyeshadow makes your eyes look. Not sure what effect it would give someone with darker skin but the effect on my very fair skin is lovely. Flatters my blue eyes but I can see this working on any eye colour.
I've never tried it with any other eyeshadows but from the rest of the reviews, it sounds like it would be great, especially with browns. I find the application flawless and idiot-proof; I even just use the given sponge-tip applicator provided with the shadow. Goes on perfectly with one sweep, it's so smooth and almost creamy-like. No problems ever with creasing but I use UDPP, always. I love eyeshadows that come with a mirror, so eyeshadow + applicator + mirror? Excellent packaging!
It's not the most original colour by any means, but I've repurchased this about 4 times now, and will continue to. Great shade!

This eye shadow is a gorgeous warm copper. I live the texture of it and it's really easy to blend. It has a lovely shimmer but it isn't too glittery. It works really well with a dark brown like Bordeaux.
Age: 25-29 Skin: Very Oily, Fair-Medium Hair: Brown Eyes: Blue
This is gorgeous! I got it in a pallet with 5 other eye shadows from a holiday kit (2009). I love wearing this over a brown cream eye shadow and brown in the crease or even alone with brown in the crease! Its has the perfect amount of shimmer to draw attention to my eyes but not look like a disco ball! I gave it a 4 because I find it creases a little faster than the other Clinique eye shadows I own (but I find shimmery shades crease faster, even with an eye primer, due to my eye shape).

Gorgeous color anytime of the day. This is a rich copper shimmer, and like any of the supershimmers a little goes a long way. (you really can't find better for your $)
I bought this color thinking it was similar to Bare Escentuals Tan Lines, but it's a slightly more flesh-toned copper (Tan Lines is a little more brassy),
Age: 19-24 Skin: Acne-prone, Fair-Medium, Warm Hair: Black, Wavy, Coarse Eyes: Brown
I like this color a lot and I use it often. To me its kind of like a silvery light warm copper color and its really flattering. The color pay off is good and you don't have to build too much and this shade is flattering with a lot of different colors.
Age: 19-24 Skin: Combination, Fair-Medium, Cool Hair: Blond, Curly, Medium Eyes: Green
Clinique Lucky Penny is the only product i believe that i have purchased more than twice... i think i've bought it 3-4 times. i LOVE it so much!! it is a gorgeous everyday wash and a great lid color if you want to do something smoky in the crease!!! i love LP, you cannot go wrong with it :)
Age: 30-35 Skin: Sensitive, Fair Hair: Red Eyes: Hazel
It looks like most people love this eyeshadow so maybe the shade just doesn't suit my fair skin. In the store, the color appeared to be a bronzey-pink but it looks too orangey on my eye and is not flattering at all. The shimmer is also a bit strong for my taste. Definitely won't be buying this again.
Age: 25-29 Skin: Sensitive, Fair, Cool Hair: Blond, Curly, Fine Eyes: Blue
This is a really nice eyeshadow. I would describe the colour as being a warm bronze with slight shimmer, the photo makes it appear darker than what it actually is. It is a beautiful nude shadow and feels very silky going on. It is one of the most long-wearing shadows I have and does not crease. Recommended.
