This is a great product to fall back on when searching through the conditioners in the store. I can't use it for too many months in a row because it stops working after a while, but for the first few weeks of use, it works wonders. Not the best scent in the world, but it works.

I have been looking for a good light to mid-weight conditioner for the last year. I have tried Redken, B&B, Aveda and many other high end salon brands. I have heard many unfavorable remarks with regard to Pantene products. I use Bumble & Bumble Gentle Shampoo and have paired it with this conditioner for the last two weeks and the results have been fantastic. I have finally found my go-to conditioner. Ever since Nexxus changed the formula for their Humectress Conditioner, I have had a very difficult time finding a replacement. No more.

Oh how I love this conditioner not only for the price, the smell, but how it transformed my brittle broomstick overprocessed hair into soft smooth, shiny Pantene commercial hair. My hair went dry for 2 years from heat, drying, chlorine, chemical processed, neglected hair to beautiful in about 5 months of consistent usage of this conditioner. I have tried the expensive brands like paul mitchelle, and salons formula but I always go back to thsi one. It's a keeper!

I originally have very dark hair and have bleached it to light red / orange. My hair got fuzzy on rainy days. I have tried a few conditioners and none of them work. Only this conditioner makes my hair sleek and smooth and it smells great with flora scent.

This is pretty good conditioner. I was using professional conditioner that didn't thoroughly penetrate my hair but this did the job. It has a thick consistency that dry hair craves and it smells.....way more perfumy than its older formula; the scent does wear off after rinsing though. Really helps obscure wild split ends and smooth out frizz. It made my hair soft with better elasticity and I was able to wear my bangs after they were roller set instead of having to run my straigtener over them. I'm a happy camper thus far!

Pantene classic care conditioner where have you been all of my life??! I love this stuff! It smells amazing, moisturizes hair, and leaves it shiny and full of life! Can't go wrong with this one!

I return to this conditioner again and again. It smells wonderful, and it always leaves my naturally wavy, frizzy hair smooth and manageable.

I do believe this conditioner has been reformulated. Bad move, Pantene! I used to love the Classic Care conditioner with the green label, but now something awful has happened- on the shelf, I found the Classic Care, but it had a different label- and all the Pantene products have been reformulated and relabeled- what's up with that? This new formula conditioner weighs my hair down and does not perform at all like the old. Has anyone else picked up on this?

Along with Pantene Classic Care Shampoo, I've been using this product for years. This is a great quality conditioner for those with normal, healthy hair. It will leave your hair soft and shiny. :)

Not the best pantene conditioner, it leaves my hair dry and tangly. unlike daily moisture renewal. This would be good for people with healthy normal hair that want a daily conditioner.

I loved this product (and the Pantene Classic Care Shampoo, too!). It makes my hair so shiny and soft and beautiful (once I straighten it, of course). I also tried to Pantene Classic Clean Shampoo and Conditioner and that is also an amazing product.
About a month ago I went on vacation and my travel-size shampoo and conditioners were still my old stuff (Herbal Essences Drama Clean) and after I washed my hair with it it felt GROSS!! It felt as if I hadn't even washed my hair at all! I couldn't wait to get home and wash my hair with Pantene.
I recommend this stuff to anyone who asks (and even those who don't! lol) If you want silky and soft hair, try Pantene Classic Care.

I normally never have any trouble with Pantene products.I used this conditoner with the matching shampoo and I ended up with horrible build up!! The conditioner kinda made my hair feel soft but it also felt gross and coated. I would never use this again.

I've been fighting an uphill battle with my hair for two years. I've tried a number of d/s conditioners trying to find one that would help keep my hair in somewhat decent condition, and for a while my HG was Garnier Triple Nutrition. Naturally, after using that for a few months, I felt the urge to try something new. I've always avoided Pantene because of it's bad rep, but I began thinking that maybe the silicones would help protect my hair from heat damage. Initially, my hair felt incredible. My split ends were smoothed, and my hair was so shiny, bouncy, and soft. Unfortunately, the results were short lived, because after a while, my hair began to feel terrible. My roots started looking greasy, but my ends looked even more brittle and damaged than before. My hair wouldn't hold a style, and had absolutely no movement. It felt so course and brittle. I switched back to Garnier and after one use I've seen a huge improvement. Now I understand why Pantene has such a bad rep.

I have pretty healthy hair, but it's really thick and dark, and it has little waves and straight and curl and random that looks great when it works, and crazy when it doesn't. I get buildup on my scalp VERY easily, and this shampoo/conditioner does not build up, which is a relief, and takes care of some of the randomness of my hair. I appreciate that it does not force me into making my hair more shiny (it's already shiny) or more soft (it's already soft, thank you) or brightly colored (i like it dark, thanks..) or straighten or silken or whatever- I'm sick of shampoo telling me to change, haha. So this WORKS

Thanks to MUA reviewers for turning me on to this great conditioner! I have the absolute worst hair in the world, and this conditioner really helps it look good! My hair is fine, wavy, and frizzy, and medications for rheumatoid arthritis have made it thin and brittle to boot. After trying everything from Redken All Soft to L'Oreal Professionel Absolut Repair, I have to say this Pantene conditioner works the best. I've been using it for the past five days, and it's enabled me to skip blowdrying. It makes my hair really shiny and bouncy and controls frizz, even on a super foggy day like today. I highly recommend this conditioner to anybody with fine hair. Pantene markets it as conditioner for normal hair, but I apply it all over and have no problems with flatness. And if it doesn't make my hair flat, it won't make anybody's hair flat!! Trust me! Thanks again for the great recommendation!

I was pleasantly surprised - did not expect much from this inexpensive common product. My hair was silky and detangled with no frizz or dryness. The only product that I have liked more is the Neutrogena triple moisture pack/mask.

I have been using this conditioner (the new reformulated version) after trying Ice Shine and Sheer Volume conditioners with not-so-great results. It makes my fine, dry hair easy to comb through after the shower, and when my hair is dry it feels nice and soft. I really like the mild Pantene fragrance as I don't like the fragrance of most conditioners out there right now because they are all too perfumy. Update 4/30/10: Pantene has reformulated this conditioner (again!) and so far I like it. The ingredients are quite different from the previous one, seems more moisturizing. I haven't lost any hair yet, so that's a good sign. I'm keeping fingers crossed that this will work for me. If it does, I'll change my answer to yes. Update 7/8/11: I'm STILL trying to work through this one bottle of conditioner. When I put it on it feels like it is just covering my hair, not moisturizing it. It rinses out fairly easily and my hair combs out nicely, but I've noticed that my hair feels more wirey when dry. I can use this for only 3 days or so before I put it back in the cupboard out of frustration. I've seen this at Costco recently in the pump bottles, but I'm going to resist the temptation.

This product is excellent. It's a regular conditioner, which would seem weird, because you'd think it would do much. But it does SO much. I generally kill my hair, every day, since I have to blowdry it. It's been dead for over 4 years now. When I started using this product the first day, my hair just seemed normal, it was just smooth and nothing really special. After a while, however, my hair got more smooth, sleek and shinier. It looked healthy. Soon my friends were all noticing how my hair was literally revived. I couldn't believe it. It's truly a miracle product. I recommend this product to everyone. :)

Edit 2/24/09: Pantene has reformulated their conditioners yet again so I had to change my review & rating. The new Classic Care conditioners are in the same shaped bottle but have a large, curved blue strip instead of the usual small blue line. They also have "Bis-Aminopropyl Dimethicone" which my hair seems to hate(in Pantene & Herbal Essences) and the fragrance is the newer one which is more floral and less clean than the original "Classic" scent. The fragrance is also weaker, which could be a good thing since I don't like it as much.

As far as how this works in my hair, it makes it coated and dry. With the weird ability to make it both flat and frizzy/undefined at the same time. Not cool.

Will not repurchase.

I've tried just about all of the Pantene shampoos and conditioners - Smooth & Sleek, Daily Moisture Renewal, Hydrating Curls, etc. - and of all of them - *THIS* is the best one!

All of the rest left my hair feeling somewhat dry or at least under conditioned and frizzy. This Classic Care is the first time I've used up and bought a new Pantene product in years. It makes my hair smooth, shiny, and conditioned. It feels soft and frizz-free.

Do I really need to mention the wonderful Pantene scent that keeps me trying various products from them just to see if I can find something with that scent that works in my hair???

Anyway, I love this conditioner and use it along with the shampoo. I alternate between this and Garnier Fructis Length and Strength and my hair isn't as dry, frizzy, or fly-away as it used to be.

I just wish Pantene made a decent leave-in that worked in my hair.

Would repurchase.
