This color is so gorgeous; don't be afraid of the dark color. On my slightly pigmented lips, this is a rust colored cocoa. There is a hint of a silver sheen that I assume is because it is a shimmer gloss. It is perfect for the winter holiday season and I plan on wearing exclusively next month. It smells delightfully of vanilla. And like all her glosses, it lasts for hours.

The lipgloss of the moment for me. Cocoa Sugar is my favorite of the Bobbi Brown glosses. I find the shimmer glosses to have superb lasting power for a gloss and to layer beautifully with my favorite lip pencil, Laura Mercier Chestnut. BB's glosses are just "tacky" enough without being sticky, and the medium consistency ensures that they don't spill out over the lipline.

Cocoa Sugar, on me, is a plummy bronze color about a shade deeper than my fairly pigmented lips, with a slight silvery cast. This color lights up my face on those days that I elect only to wear blush and gloss and no other makeup (frequently!). It doesn't look lipsticky in the least and doesn't disappear after being subjected to liquids. I have a number of high-end glosses (Guerlain, Mercier, Chanel) and nothing quite holds the way the BB glosses do.

Although a "shimmer" gloss, the shimmer is so muted as to only give a bit of reflection or "height" to the gloss, rather than shimmer flakes as found in Vincent Longo glosses. BB's are not metallic and shouldn't be considered a true shimmer product. Neither as they as "wet" as the Dior Addict glosses (whose wetness always screams "1970s!").

The brush: What can you say? It's a terrible tool that I will admit to becoming accustomed to. At first its tendency to splay irritated me, but I will put up with it in exchange for the greatness of the product.

Great color. A pinky, light brown color - stay on well. It is on the sticky side but that makes it last longer. This is my first BB lipgloss and I really like it. Now, the price is very expensive. Even so, I probably will buy again.

I'm undecided about this product, but for what its worth:
1. I like the sweet vanilla scent
2. I do like the colour: brownish/taupe wiht a pale shimmer that i can see looking good on everyone--similar in colour to the burnt sugar gloss stick, but less pink
3. staying power is excellent, very moisturizing

I don't like:
1. the price! aaack $18 for a small tube
2. the small amount of product

A lot of people complain about the brush applicator, but i actually like it.

the colour is OK, but I do get a bit tired of it after a while--it doesn't really 'brighten' or highlight my features (fair, light eyes, l. brown hair)

so 3 lippies.

I love this color! I have been using it everyday for a week and think it looks great in every light! It has no pink and a very natural brown/red hue to it. BB glosses are great quality and last for hours on me. A natural, non-pink color--love it!

The wretched little brush does not keep me from loving these glosses! I love the staying power and the mellow shimmer. The pinky-brown color is nice for me. I generally prefer unscented and unflavored lip products, but the vanilla scent on this is OK, not too strong. Great product, but one off for the expense and brush applicator.

First of all, the brush sucks more than your mom's old vacuum.
Love the stick, long-lasting texture and the burnt sugar smell and the amount of fine shimmers. But the color is just too brown for me. And too expensive for $18.

I love the color, but the brush applicator is blah. And for some reason, the tube I have is kind of gritty at times. I'll only repurchase on eBay.

I LOVE these lipglosses and own and wear "pink sugar" and "rose sugar" all the time. They are very expensive which is annoying, and the brushes suck, but I love the formula and the amount of shimmer. I bought this one about 4 years ago but didn't like it - the color wasn't good on me. It is too damn dark for my taste. I like my lipglosses lighter. It also gets 2 lippies because the size of the tube is way way way too small for the high prize and the brush suck.

Four years ago, this was my first Bobbi Brown purchase and definitely worth it! After having tried a few MAC lipglasses, I decided to try the Bobbi Brown line. The SA suggested this lovely hue of a rich mahogany with a subtle shimmer. On my light/medium yellow-toned Asian complexion, this color simply gave me a hint of sophisticated color. Unlike the MAC lipglasses that seemed to ooze glossily on my lips, this was just sticky enough to last all day.

I really like this lip gloss. It's a warm pink/brown color, moisturizes and lasts a long time. My only complaints are that the tube is tiny, the brush stinks, it's pricey. Almost perfect!

I love all the BB glosses because they are sticky and last a long time. This color looks like a shimmery nude shade on my MMM-DDD skin. I like to pair it with a bold eye look or on its own to give me a polished but natural look. The product is pricey, the brush is awful, but I will keep buying for the color and formula.

This is an ok brownish shimmery lip gloss. I find the color a bit too brownish and the shimmer a bit too silvery.

Gosh I love BB's Lip Glosses! I avoided buying them for a long time due to the whole splaying brush thing, but I'm so glad I bit the proverbial big one and tried them (although my wallet isn't so happy!). The brush actually doesn't bother me. I like the precision application, and as long as I'm careful, applying the gloss in one direction across my lips, I've managed to keep the splay to a minimum. Cocoa Sugar is a lovely warm brown that is very soft and unobtrusive, perfect alone or layered upon BB's pink or brown colors like Sandwash Pink, Brown, Golden Brown, and Chocolate. I find the shimmer in these glosses amazing--just the right touch of it to add glow, but no chunks of glitter to annoy me (unlike those in Chanel Glossimers). These last forever, too, which helps me justify the expense of $18 a pop.

i really like the color but the consistency is too gloppy and sticky. also, the brush applicator start fanning out in a weird way after a few uses making it difficult to apply.

Love BB glosses...thick and moisturizing just the way I like them. Cocoa is no exception. Beautiful subtle light brown with a hint of silvery shimmer. Very beautiful and very sexy looking on the lips. I think this color is going to be one of my new favorites.

Lovely color, excellent stay-power, amazing shine. Can't stop looking at my lips with this stuff on. SMALL TUBE though, sheesh, Bobbi, these are child-sized, aren't they? I would, however, invest in one since I think it looks great and wears well. Just can't let anyone kiss me with it on ;-)

My favorite brown shimmer gloss. It just makes my lips look like I ate some brown sugar. I like to wear this with my earth tone clothing. And as always, it looks very classy and not over the top with shimmer.
