Definitely not an eyeshadow I would recommend for ladies with warm undertones... This is just too cool for my NC25 skin. I am also more of a neutral girl and this just comes off too vibrant. It is also a bit too sheer to work well as a lid color. I did a look using Beautiful Iris, Satellite Dreams, and Nocturnelle on my blog if you'd like to check it out:

Beautiful Iris is indeed a beautiful vivid lavender with blue/ pink duochrome. A bit too vivid for my liking to wear all over the lid but I adore layering it over taupe/ plummy eye shadows to add a lilac hue sometimes, mostly with satin taupe. Not overly pigmented or buttery smooth but instantly lightens up green eyes!

I have been wearing this eyeshadow quite a bit over the last month and it's become my go to spring pastel eyeshadow. I really like this soft lavender shadow as the reflects of blue and pink add dimension and luminosity. It's truly a gorgeous and versatile shadow as it pairs well with purples, neutrals, taupes, and grays. Some of my favourite Spring looks so far:
- Beautiful Iris on the lid, Omega in the crease, and Gesso on the the brow bone
- Beautiful Iris on the lid, Soft Brown in the crease, and Blanc Type on the brow bone
- Beautiful Iris on the lid, Memorabilia in the crease, and Shroom on the brow bone
- Crystal Avalanche or Mylar on the lid, Beautiful Iris in the crease, and Brule on the brow bone
- Beautiful Iris on the lid, Copperplate in the crease, and Blanc Type on the brow bone

This shade is really different, it has a lilac base but flashes pink and pale blue in different lighting. Theres no glitter just a gorgeous pearly smooth finish. It's nice alone or blended with grays and cool browns. It also looks really pretty as a cheekbone highlight, the pink/lilac glow is so pretty.

I gave three lippies because it really is a beautiful color, but to get that color it takes a lot of work! As others have said, it requires really kind of piling it on. Once you get there? Gorgeous! But it takes primer and a really good brush, applying three to four layers to get the same effect as one swipe of UD's Asphyxia. Since they are almost exact dupes for each other--but Asphyxia is WAY more pigmented and so much easier to work with--I won't be repurchasing this. I'll use it until it's gone, but it's really worth the few extra dollars to get UD's Asphyxia.

This has to be the prettiest purple eyeshadow that i have ever worn. Beautiful Iris, when you apply to the lid (i use about 3 coats so you can really see this) is purple but has a pearly/duochrome blueish effect to it-really pretty! I am new to Mac's eyeshadows, so I was very pleasantly surprised at the beauty in this eyeshadow. I use UDPP before I wear any eyeshadows, and with it, beautiful iris stays put all day. Definately a great color to wear on your lids for spring. You can use this color as part of a bright eye look, or, if you want a more neutral look, but a pop of color, you can swipe this on the lid and add a medium brown shade in the crease. There are numerous ways that you can wear this purple.
I have lots of eyeshadows and pretty much use them all (rotating), so it will probably take me quite a while to hit pan with this, but if I do, I will definatley repurchase. This a staple in my makeup collection.

I don't know if I have the same one because mine doesn't look like those pictured... But I love this color. I think it's a bright fun color that's pretty unique. The product is very smooth and easy to blend. If you don't like bright (tropical or Nikki Minaj) type looks, you may not like this.

Beautiful Iris is so bright and pigmented. I use Fig1 in the crease and Seedy Pearl under the brow, as suggested by a MAC Makeup Artist. Such a beautiful combination.

this is my go-to lid shade every time i do a purple eye look, which is often. i wish it was a little more pigmented, but i love the shade. pairs beautifully with Fig 1 in the crease.

This used to be my favorite MAC eye shadows. Don't get me wrong I still love it, I have just fallen onto a neutral-smoky crutch. I too think the pigmentation is not as up to par with other Veluxe Pearl shadows; but I found that applying this with a clean finger tip, worked far better then a makeup brush.
When applied that way I found the pigmentation to be buildable, and I liked to pair it with Carbon on my outer corner. It's very flattering against my NW15 skin, and light green eyes. It somehow makes them *pop*. Beautiful Iris is reminiscent of an iris or lavender, with a pearl effect of blue. I do wish it had a better formula, but I will still be repurchasing this soon!

Beautiful Iris is a very pigmented pale lavender shade. With my NC 45 skin tone, I have to apply this with a very light hand. It actually applies like a matte or a satin finish, so I am amazed to discover that this eyeshadow is a veluxe pearl. It's a little too pale of a purple, and much too vivid for my image.

It's a really bright colour that goes on easily, but it was too bright for my taste and style. Way too much for day time, but even at night it wouldn't suit every event. If you like really eye-catching eye shadows, go for this one, but personally I didn't really like it.

This is such a pretty colour. You do have to pack it on a bit for it to be vivid, but it's not a tacky or in-your-face purple like some other brands can be. Very feminine. I would buy this again.

I bought Beautiful Iris to pair with Nocturnelle and it sure is a complimentary pairing, they look great together. I like this pail lilac however, I feel the color payoff isn't as good as I expect from MAC. It does build up nicely though. I wouldn't re-purchase this because I feel I could find a better dupe.

I like the color of this eye shadow a lot. The issue that I have with it is pigmentation. It simply doesn't perform as other Veluxe Pearl eye shadows. It is a beautiful color, and packed on creates a pretty, spring/summer look. It has a blue shimmer to it that adds a really nice dimension to it. Oddly, with this eye shadow, I find it best on its own, with no colors paired with it. It is a pretty wash. This has never happened to me with any other MAC shadow before, but the pan is kind of sticking out of the pot, as if the glue isn't stuck all the way. I plan on depotting it when I got another MAC palette, though, so no worries.
I took off 1 point for pigmentation and 1 point for the stupid pan problem. MAC should know better!

I actually like Beautiful Iris. The color is such a beautiful purple. The only downside is the fact that it could be a bit more pigmented. I'm very satisfied with the texture and the staying power. I like how it makes my blue eyes pop!
I would definitely repurchase. I have quite a few purple eyeshadows in my collection but this one is special.

I don't like this eyeshadow at all. I heard good things about this shadow and as seen as it was a Veluxe Pearl I thought it would be fine as the other Veluxe Pearl eyeshadows I own have great pigmentation and texture but this one is terrible. It goes on the lid nothing like it looks in the pan and even after trying to pack it on to get the colour to show up it still looked awful.
Again another disappointment from MAC.

A huge let down - it looks perfect in the pan but doesn't apply anything like iris at all. It is a pinkish purple, very light and slightly cheap looking.

I feel like i am going to be a downer here but i really dislike this eyeshadow. I did my first big MAC haul and bought this with 11 other eyeshadows. I decided to get a purple and between parfait amour and this i got beautiful iris. It is a gorgeous purple. But the reason i dont like this is because it has crappy color pay off. It is very unpigmented. and when i pay 13$ for an eyeshadow (pro pan) I want something that you can actually see on my eye lid. I find this very diffcult to work with and i find it futile to even bother using. I also swatched Parfait Amour because my friend bought it and it wasnt any better! I don't understand MAC's veluxe pearl purples! I have also purchased Stars'n'Rockets and i have had problems with its pigmentation as well! Although I find stars n rockets a bit easier to work with. I will be swapping beautiful iris.
