I was super excited to give this a try after reading all the good reviews so when it went on sale at Wags and I had a coupon I picked up a tube for cheap. And I am glad I did not pay full price for this stuff :-( It has a grainy consistency and the smell is horrible. The applicator has a little grove on the back end and a lot of the product gets stuck on that spot which is inconvenient. Also, I feel like I have to reapply over and over because it does not seem to have any staying power.
On a side note the Neosporin Night Therapy that comes in a little jar is wonderful and I would highly recommend it!!

This product works great. I used it while I had the flu, and it healed my chapped lips. Medicated Blistex also works, and I think that's cheaper.

I love this product and so bummed that the original has been discontinued. It's very moisturizing, not smelly or waxy, and plumps up your lips. Now I'm in need of a new favorite lip balm :(

i found this as a two pack (day formula and night) at big lots for only $3 so i snatched it up. having used neosporin for very chapped lips at night for years i thought it was about time they came out with a lip treatment that would hopefully tast better than the original formula for skin. after the first day of using this product i was hooked! they work wonderful together, i use the night treatment every night and the day treatment about twice a day and my lips are so healthy, soft, and smooth!

After having seriously looked for this stuff EVERYWHERE for MONTHS I almost gave up even trying to find it until I was in line at walgreens the other day and there was ONE random tube sitting in a box of gum by the cash register. Clearly someone had changed their mind about buying it but good for me! No joke I almost got a little teary eyed (you know when you see something on tv, hear about it all over, read rave reviews and think it could actually work for you but you just can't get your hands on it?? Plus I'm female, when we can't have something we want, we want it 10x more. It's very frustrating! lol) I went to look for it, found it in the BAND-AID section btw...and of course they were sold out of them as well as the overnight treatment. It's pretty thick and kinda sticky/goopy but it DOES work and fast. Taste is horrible but its very shiny, almost like a gloss. I will tell you though...I put more than normal the first night before bed and was told it looked like...semen all over my mouth. LMAO. EWWWWWW. so just beware, put it on lightly, rub it in with your finger & use a mirror!!

Thank god for this stuff, it completely healed my lips!
At first I didn't think it was working cause after a few hours it would disappear and my lips were still flaking, hurting, red etc. But after about 2 days my lips stopped hurting, no more flaking, and are very smooth! I will now always make sure to keep this around. Neosporin for the win <3

This product works! And fast. I cannot stand when my lips get cracked and dry. It's so ugly! So I went to CVS and they were completely sold out! Walgreens had it thankfully and I'm so glad they did. It says it will heal your lips in 3 days. Mine were healed in one day. Honestly speaking, this product is not very fun to wear. It actually felt a little gritty on my lips which was surprise because it didn't feel like that on the tube. I'm pretty sure that was due to my chapped lips. Too much product will look milky on the lips. I actually wiped it off my lips after about 15 minutes because I really didn't like the texture and it still helped a lot in that short amount of time. I suggest rubbing it on your lips like an exfoiliator, wipe off with a tissue and reapply. Despite all that, this stuff really does the job and I will definitely repurchase.

This is THE best thing for dry, chapped lips that I have ever found. When nothing else works, this does. It really is that good.
It feels soothing going on. The lip treatment contains Pramoxine HCl, an external analgesic, so it's perfect for lips that are cracked and in pain. It protects, it moisturizes, it helps lips heal.
Whenever my lips need help, I reach for this. I only wish Neosporin Lip Treatment came with more product. It's the best and most effective lip treatment I've ever used and I never want to be without it.

This is the absolute best thing I've found to treat my chronically dry lips. They very easily become cracked, raw, and inevitably split (which I exacerbate by biting them when I am nervous). This completely healed my poor lips and left them very soft and smooth. Now I use this every night before bed (and alternate with a lip balm with SPF for the daytime) and my lips are in the best shape they've ever been. I slather this stuff on; it's so soothing and moisturizing, my lips would be crying without it.

This stuff worked pretty good, but not great for the price. I wasn't impressed with the squeeze tube, I just usually don't like lip balms in a squeeze tube. It just made my lips peel really bad. I love neosporin stuff, but this just didn't love my lips very much :( It's a little pricey too when I can get blistex or carmex for like a dollar.

My lips are always chapped because I have the nasty habit of biting and licking them. Gross. Well I finally decided that this has got to stop because I can't put lipstick on because it's all chunky on my lips. Eww! I bought this stuff from the pharmacy and it is miraculous! In 2 days my lips are like I've never seen them before. No little chunks of skin hanging off, nope. Smooth and soft. The only negative about this product is that it tastes disgusting! So try not to lick it. I will definately purchase again!
EDIT: I took off one lippie because I've found that eucerin aquaphor healing ointment works EVEN BETTER. I now alternate between this and neosporin.

This get a 5 because it lives up to all of its claims. I do prefer regular neosporin ointment with pain reliever in it over this neosporin lip treatment because of the nasty taste the lip treatment has, but this does work. I mainly get chapped lips after being sick, my lip skin gets extremely dehydrated to the point of flaking, cracking & then bleeding. I needed a product like this, something that would be sanitary, safe, and have ingredients in it for pain. The ointment is greasy like any ointment but it glides on and stays fairly well on the lips. The taste is very bad/chemical medicine like. Neosporin's regular ointment formula pain relief product for body has barely any taste vs this lip treatment which I find weird. I do like how this isnt sticky, its light weight, not waxy, gives quick relief. I cant comment on its cold sore effects because I dont get those, but it works great for protecting the lips, and most importantly treating the lips. Its size is convienent to put in your pocket or purse but when I run out, Im going right back to original neosporin ointment for pain relievers and using it on my lips instead! This completely deserves 5 stars for how well it works, also for being the only lip balm out there that actually helps with pain from the cracks! Shows up clear for reference

I'm a musician, so I know chapped lips. Have a seven-hour rehearsal on a cold winter's day in a heated room... your lips will shrivel up and die. I've had problems with peeling, flaking, badly chapping lips all my life, to the point where I'd started picking at them, peeling off the dead skin and accidentally making my lips bleed in the process. TMI, I know, but because of this I've tried nearly every heavy-duty lip treatment on the market---this is the only one that actually works, and it works well (and immediately). Within seconds of slathering it on, my lips feel refreshed and soothed, and by the time it soaks completely in (takes about fifteen minutes on a bad day) my lips are mostly replenished, moisture-wise.
However, I hate the smell and taste SO MUCH that I can't use it all the time. It's a last-resources treatment for me, and even so I go through a tube or two per winter (and usually one in the autumn as well). The results are so unbelievably amazing that I won't take off any lippies (it's also really cheap, I think I get mine for about $5-6 at drugstores and supermarkets), and I've recommended it to a lot of my musician friends. The tube is very unisex, so men can enjoy it as well---and seriously, there's hardly a wind musician at my school who leaves home without a tube of it. (Neosporin, cork grease, and Biofreeze... we're a bunch of smelly nerds :D)
I don't get cold sores but my mom does, and I recommended it to her a couple of years ago for a particularly ornery one. She said it cleared it up within two or three days and really relieved the pain of it until it was gone! I'd recommend this for anyone who has seriously dry lips or gets awful cold sores. My personal HG lip treatment.

I'm currently taking Accutane, which dries your lips out to no end. My lips were so dry and peeling and bleeding. I found this on the clearance rack at Ulta. It cleared them up within 3 days.
Random note... Despite the dry lips, accutane is worth it x 100!! The best thing I ever did for my skin :-)

My daughter originally picked this up when nothing else she'd already tried was doing anything for a cold sore she had after she'd been sick. Within one day of use, the cold sore was well on its to being healed!
Not long after, we were out shopping on a very cold day and my lips were getting very chapped. I didn't have my usual small tube of Aquaphor in my purse, so my daughter offered this to me. Almost immediately, my lips felt much, much better; the soreness was gone and they felt moisturized. I continued to use this the rest of the day and by that night, my lips were normal again.
It does have a fairly strong orange scent but it doesn't bother me at all. I don't taste anything either. It is more oily than most lip products but that too doesn't matter to me, that it does its job does matter.

I got this for cold sores, and while it really does numb the area, my sore already ruptured (disgusting I know) by then so it was a scab, and the softening properties of the stuff softened my scab right off. Meaning it essentially reopened the wound and would make it bleed again and pus again. Really annoying. On dry and chapped lips it really works cuz of the softening properties mentioned above. Kind of greasy though. And numbing, so you don't really feel your lips for awhile. Great for really dry and painful lips though. And for me, it stopped working for awhile. So this is another one of those keep on hand for emergency things.

I don't get cold sores, but somehow ended up with a tube of this lip treatment - and I loved it! It really made my lips soft and didn't have the nasty menthol taste/smell of Blistex. I used it during the winter when my lips were so chapped that they hurt and this soothed the pain!
I would definitely buy this again; I just hate having something in my purse that says "cold sore" on it! Oh well. Definitely recommend this!

I don't get cold sores, my lips are in fantastic shape, and I have more balms than I know what to do with, so I really don't know why I bought this. I really like it though. To me, it has a light, clean, lemony scent and has a slight tingle. It's a little greasy and shiny, but soaks in completely to leave my lips soft and moisturized. Palmer's cocoa butter sticks are still my HG (I have to have at least 10 of them floating around my house) but this is a nice before bed treatment.

This was an average product, it was: mildly nasty flavored/scented, good on the lips but not enough to rave about, and felt like normal chapstick. If you want a good lip product, by a bit of petroleum jelly (vaseline), and apply, you will get mucho better results.
