I have repurchased this perfume several times. It's a very sexy fragrance and lasts quite a while. I've been wearing it for years and still get complimented.

Cinema was under my radar for a long time as I was hunting only ''stand-out'' perfumes. But then again comes a time when you can appreciate simplicity and want a soft, cozy mist around you that won't go through many stages towards the drydown.
And Cinema is a darn good one. Not a femme fatale, but certainly has a distinct warm and inviting presence. You get a harmonious mix of fresh clementine, delicate almond blossom on a gentle vanilla /benzoin/ amber base. Stays close to the skin but lasts for a few hours. It's not too sweet or too warm due to the gentle sweetness and the citrusy opening, so it can be worn all year round IMO.
I prefer heavier orientals for winter and most summery fruity florals are not my thing, so Cinema is the perfect compromise between the oriental cozy feel and the citrusy freshness I was looking for alluring summer nights.
Also the bottle is utterly glamorous. Recommended.

Edit: Using the term ''Old lady like'' is frankly a tacky way to describe a perfume and it's not only about taste - it really shows lack of knowledge about perfumery IMHO.

THE perfect scent for everyday use. Why? - because it achieves what so many other fragrances only aspire to: it becomes part of the body scent and blends with it ENTIRELY: at least on me. Somehow it penetrates the layer of one's skin's natural aroma and adds a few distinct and flattering and natural-seeming ingredients to the existing bunch. Vanilla, a hint of lemon, sugar icing and powdery flowernotes arrive in this bottle at a perfect blend and create an aura around the body rather than agressively manifesting itself on a random passer-by (especially when the body temperature / air temperature increases). It becomes impossible to detect the ''foreign'' notes when smelling it on your own skin after the drydown: it smells like as if you literally woke up with a renewed layer of ''you'' that had magically and god-knows-how absorbed the best from nature while you were sleeping. :) Due to this softness and halo-like qualities I would not call it an evenig perfume, which you need a few dabs of to metaphorically elbow your way to the center of the stage and announce your royal presence:). It is rather a daily mist around you that makes you feel incredibly cosy, womanly, fairy-like even, and fragile. I bet my bottom dollar ( or EURO in my case :)) that every ALPHA-male on the block would be rusing to lock the wearer into a protective embrace at the first whiff of CINEMA. I have bought a pure perfume bottle that is as heavy as a rock and completely gold-coloured (not see-through), and I must say, it looks so darn glamorous on my shelf, that all other flakons next to it seem like a charity case. :)

OMG this is quite simply beautiful...starts of peachy apricots, soft citrus rose ..( imagine a fully blown apricot rose...that lovely fruity rose fragrance)..with soft almond blossom weaving through it....the dry down is a soft powdery musky vanilla...(not a nauseating vanilla) but an expensive french vanilla.....my husband loves it..he just kept sniffing the air around me ..taking deep breaths ...it lingers and wafts and lasts for hours on my skin and hair...and next day the silk scarf I had worn wearing Cinema smelled abs divine....its like a soft comforting cashmere pashmina ....around you..totally 100% feminine ..& I will be stocking up on this little beauty .....The bottle is a good sturdy rectangle bottle with Cinema in 3d effect lettering on the back of bottle ....would grace any dresser ..cant fault this fragrance at all....

This is a lovely perfume, opens with light citrus and almond, dries down with musky vanilla and something floral. Warm and comforting!

This is my all time favourite perfume, I really love it. It's quite a "heavy" sent, I find, but very feminine and sexy at the same time. Scent is very personal, but I totally recommend this perfume and be sure to check it out if you're looking for a new fragrance!

The bottle of this perfume got my attention at firts, so I tried and loved it. It is fresh and feminine. However I do not think that it is a special fragrance and it does not linger on me for along time. I need a refresh about afternoon. It is a nice smell and I can buy it again as a second smell besides my coco mademoiselle.

Purchased the edt in a discount store and was pleasantly surprised when I smelled it. Bought sight unsniffed, but Cinema is hard to dislike. In short, it smells of powdery, vanillic mimosa. Most will not be the least bit put off if you wear this to the office. Projection is moderate but wont bowl anyone over. Great fragrance!

Everytime I wear this perfume I will get a compliment over it, male or female. This perfume is excellent quality, beautiful unique stand out smell that is wearable, smells expensive and classy without smelling for older women. I love it. It would smell stupid on a barbie bimbo but very sexy on an elegant woman.

It smells spicy and oriental.very musk and seemingly contains lots of spices. i hate this fragrant.it reminds me of a homme fragrance.the packaging is average but classic.i love flowery fragrant , so this fragrance is not suitable for me,but i feel so curious about the further scent, it goes soft. What a magic fragrance!

I have edp. It's vanilla with unusual twist. I guess it's clementine (I couldn't point my finger to it before, but now when someone mentioned that, I must agree).
At first I wasn't sure if I like, but now I love it. It's sweet, but not too much, it's ellegant, but not too much. Not over the top, just a great comfort scent you can wear in many occasions. Thumbs up!

I always get tired of a fragrance before I used up the bottle but this I've now used almost daily for six years and I still absolutely love it. I think it smells maily of vanilla and some kind of citrus, warm and sweet -but in a nice non-sticky way. I also very often get complements while wearing it.

Doesn't compete with my favourites of Fendi and Tiffany but VERY nice. Strong and sexy smelling -- I wore it for work and finished the bottle quickly I liked it so much. Im goin to find another day perfume to try but I'd buy this again.

Soooooo....lovely!! At first I thought it was too strong, but on the dry down its starts to remind me of earl grey tea with honey. I've searched for a good earl grey note for so long! Must be the Bergamot...Heavenly!

Hi every one...I'm about to finish its second bottle..Fragrance of the perfume takes me to the dressing room of an actress who is very classy and sophisticated..yet there is something dark and mesmerizing about her...beauty is how I will describe this perfume. It is a rich and classy lady's fragrance who goes to these high end cinema's or parties...I have bumped into a couple of them this is how they smell...smoky ..sultry ...intelligent ..caring...and rich....absoultely great staying power ...It stays and during the day unfolds into pleasant notes everytime...

A spontaneous two word description for this would be: lemon-y vanilla. It is in fact clementine that bursts as a top note just before the vanilla takes center stage. Yes, it is one of those really sweet fragrances. It is nicely done and lifts your spirits but remains really linear and is not particularly exciting. It is not worth the price or the prestigious YSL logo IMO, so I would not buy a full bottle ( I have enjoyed my sample , tho).

This was given to me for christmas by someone who really doesn't know my taste in perfume. He also regularly gives me Shalimar. The initial smell is one of oranges and vanilla, which dries down to a pleasant but nodescript vanilla in around 10 minutes. After half an hour I can't smell it on myself at all. If I put my nose to my wrists I can faintly smell a mixture of oranges and vanilla. it has about as much kick and staying power as a very cheap body spray. I'm glad it works on some people but really you must try this on before buying. Now if only I could get this particular friend to stop buying me perfume as presents.
