This product ONLY worked on my whiteheads, not on pus-pimples. On the package it says to apply 1-3 times but you have to apply it like 10 times a day to actually work. The only good thing is that it goes under makeup.

Oh my goodness. I'll start off by saying that I really did like this product when I started using it. Before I would go to bed I would wash my face then apply the product to any pimples I had. But after a while I kept using the product the product started to sting, I ignored it because it was a mild sting and it would go away in a few seconds. BUT THEN I started noticing that it did help get rid of the pimples quicker but it left behind scars. So now I'm left with horrible red scars on my cheeks.

Also I would like to add that I don't have any problem with Benzoyl Peroxide or Salicylic Acid.

I love these tubes clean and clear uses. It's so easy to use, easy to squeeze out the product unlike some other brands that use bottles and whatnot. I like this product and I also like the persagel 5% of clean and clear. I like to wear bp during day time and salycic when I sleep. :) they are really good products both of them. It's keeping my acne under control, my face is clearing up, it's looking better that's for sure. Clean and clear really lives up to its name. <3

I have pretty bad acne. And one benzoy peroxide treatment or any other treatments didn't work and I ended up always coming back to this one.It is not garbage,it can really help even tho Salicyc Acid does nothing to me,this seems to help my pimples.Your pimple won't dissapear the next day but it will calm it down and reduce the size or bring it to a head.It doesn't overdry at all.Cheap price.Last a long long time.I've been using it for years. This will most likely work if you have light to moderate acne.It claims it's invisible but it can turn the spot where you've applied it shiny, but it goes on nicely under makeup so it doesn't bother me.I'd recommand you to try it and see.Leave it some time, your pimple will probably go after a few days.I only apply it at night. But,I am not acne free yet now,it just 'helps'.Goodluck;)

I have repurchased this product quite a few times over the past 5 years, but this will be my last. I have finally come to the conclusion that salicylic acid is just not meant for my skin. I find it makes my acne more irritated and inflamed, which is too bad 'cause I really, really wanted to love this product.

This is actually a really good product. At first I was a little skeptical, but it definitely clears up pimples really well. When you put it on it may sting a bit, especially if you have sensitive skin, but once it dries the stinging will stop. I usually put it on twice a day and in 2-3 days its really weird but the pimple shrinks and kind of peels off! The only thing is once it peels off you may have a small red mark, but it doesn't take long to fade. I would recommend this product, its a great spot treatment and can be worn under makeup which is always a bonus :)

I use this all the time!
I hardly break out but when I do this is my go to treatment!
It does dry out the skin and burns a little but it gets rid of big pimples within 2 days and smaller ones within 6 hours!
Seriously love this stuff, I am surprised it has such low reviews it's very good!

This is extremely effective at getting rid of occasional large pimples. When I continue to use this 2-3 times a day, the pimple would shrink within just one day and would be gone within a week. This dries out my skin but it gives fast results and doesn't leave white marks on the skin. Definitely great for getting rid of large pimples quick.

i have been using this for a while, and i really like it...

it is 2 percent salicyclic acid, and that was the largest percentage of sa in all the drug store products i looked at... niice, but i wouldnt reccomend it if youre starting with sa, you will grow immune to it too fast... blah, so start with like, 0.5 salicyclic acid, and work your way up to it....

i dont reccomend it under makeup though, lets just say it ruins your makeup application....

i like that you can layer this when it is in the sticky drying phase, and have now a 4 percent sa... (sounds fishy, i know, heheh but it does make it stronger)

It is def the best drugstore acne spot treatment ive tried...

Nothing good to say about this product. This product did nothing for me. I applied this directly on my pimples and it didn't dry them out or minimize the redness. I understand you can't expect immediate changes so I continued using this product for awhile but it didn't matter. What a waste of money! Also, although it goes on clear, it dries and leaves a mark on your face, so I would only apply this cream before bed.

I am surprised this has low reviews. I have been using this since i was 15 years old (im now 25) and whenever i have a breakout i put this on at night and by in the morning my pimples are dried up. I dont have severe acne but it worked well for me. Also i would not recommend wearing this under makeup, its clear and it is better to use at night so it can work properly. It is not meant to be worn under foundation and a ton of makeup. I have repurchased this for many years and will continue to do so. Once Clean and Clear does not discontinue.

I use this every night on my problem pimples and in the morning they are GREATLY reduced. It doesn't work well under makeup...after foundation and powder, it gets stringy and you have to wash and start over. But its great for those huge zits you want to be gone in the morning. I use this everyday and an aspirin-honey mask 2 times a week and my skin is nice and clear. A little goes a long way too!! It stings quite a bit on those open ones but I like it because it feels like its really working! Good buy.

I bought this back in 2006 when I had many zits and pimples on my forehead and on my nose (I still do, but I have a lot less)
I tried 2 tubes of this stuff and I can finally come to a conclusion
This didn't really do anything for severe, large, and people with many pimples
It may work for spot treatment or minor acne
It was ok, no fast action acne dissolving magic but after 3 days the pimples were gradually shrinking
It is a gel consistency which I like, because it isn't too drying.
Not amazing stuff, didn't really work with my skin but it may work on others
But since it was clear, it gave a sheen to my forehead, making it look oily and shiny :(

This is pretty good. But I feel like it's better suited for very small, less serious pimples and nothing major. Dried my out a tad, but that's what helped get rid of whatever bumps I had. It usually worked in a time span of a week for me but it would vary from person to person. I liked it, but I wouldn't repurchase.

I was surprised to see so many negative reviews for this product!! I actually like this alot, it`s good for whenever you have a small blemish. It makes the blemish go away in 1-2 days. Or not even.

Whenever I get a little blemish, I use this product. The blemish is gone within two days and there is no battle scar or dry spots left over. This stuff lasts me a long time, but that may be because of the fact that I don't get blemishes often. I like the packaging and reasonable price, too.

This is a reasonably effective treatment for drying up pimples, in my experience. I got it on sale at the drugstore after breaking out from "purging" using my Baby Quasar. Anyway, I wouldn't ever use a drying treatment overnight on sensitive skin, but I use this like a mask. Apply it to zits for 10 minutes then wash off and use oil-free moisturizer. It dried up one of my zits entirely and shrank the others.

Definitely not for use under makeup, as other mention. If you have oily skin you could probably leave it on overnight, but I'd recommend just applying it directly to blemishes as it's a bit drying to put all over your skin. For all-over use maybe try a really low concentration of benzoyl peroxide, if you have oily acne-prone skin.

Hmm i've gone through 4 of these over the years, until now when i really would do anything to have clear skin. It stings at first but when you keep re applying, nothing happens.
I'd say it reduces the size but doesn't help clear up skin. Also it says that it's invisible but you can still see it, like it's clear but when you apply it, the area gets all shiny and you can't put makeup over it, or your makeup and the product itself peels off. I really don't know why I used it, maybe because it never broke me out. But there's better spot treatments out there for sure. The price isn't that cheap for the small tube you get. I will not repurchase

For the price of this product, ~$5cad it's performance is not bad. I had this tube for 3years! And it still works to reduce and dry my pimples overnight. I only wish that it would have a higher salicylic acid % so I'm going to try another brand with higher SA% like Mary Kay.
