Nice little fragrance here in a cool oblisque shaped orange bottle. To me its not a Happy type floral. Velocity is a little bit darker with what are seemingly notes of bitter orange and ozone. I keep imagining myself strolling through an orange orchard that has just been sprayed with fertilizer and repellants.

Love love love love LOVE THIS!( Can you tell I like it yet?) Ack. This stuff smells soooooo good. And I love the packaging!! This was one of my first perfumes. It's fruity and floral but not overly girly. I like that it just smells classy and feminine, but not teenie bopper. It's a hard fragrance to describe but it smells sooooo good. It lasts long too! Will repurchase.

What can I say about this fragrance.. omg this is delicious! it is the perfect sporty fruity fresh scent ever!! mary kay is not my fav brand, but i have loved this perfume for 10 years!! The bottle is neat too, sitting upside down, it is very different! I love it.... it has an orange cap, and clear yet irridescent bottle. at 1.7 oz. for 28$ that isn't bad! this is the 3rd bottle I've owned and am almost out again! its light enough to wear to work but can pack a punch it u need it to! great for summer time, and spring!

i love this perfume. It is comparable in pricing to other fragrances and smells great. It isn't overpowering or flowery. Can't say enough about how much I love this product!

I love this perfume, especially in the summer. It's got a nice citrusy scent and the packaging is adorable. It is a bit strong, so if you are sensitive to strong scents, go easy on it.

I got this in a mini after hosting a party, I later purchased a big bottle. This is as other have stated is alot like Happy from Clinique. Fruity with a little bit of citrus. I don't prefer one over the other since I think they are so much alike. This is one of those scents that is not too overpowering but I tend to re apply it because it doesn't have much staying power. I use this alot more in the summer because it is so light or when I need a little pick me up.

Do you like bananas and citrus? I do too, which is why I recently purchased two bottles of Velocity and a tube of the Moisture Gel. Oddly enough, the gel has more of the banana scent than does the perfume. It is such a lovely fragrance. It is similar to Happy but not as garrish, and in-your-face. The scent of Happy always leaves me a bit puzzled because it has a chemical smell, but not Velocity. One is not left trying to figure out what the odor is, one is simply left with a pleasant, fresh, smell. While banaana is the top note, it does not smell "fruity" like a kid. Over the day it wears and just smells vibrant. I wear it when I need a lift or want to smell fresh and delicious.

I forgot all about having this perfume as a teen and loving it. I recently got a sample of this scent again and I still really like it! It is indeed very young, light, and fresh. Very pleasant and not too overpowering. Great for the springtime.

i love this stuff! but i wouldnt recommend it for anyone older (older than 25 or 30) it seems more of a younger scent to me (no offense ladies)
but i definitely LOVEEE this smell! good price compared to other perfumes. try it!

I really like this perfume! I bought two bottles off Ebay for a great deal. It DOES smell similar to Clinique's Happy, but the dry-down is a little different. I first discovered Velocity when my friend gave me her little dual-ended perfume/lipgloss tube. I accidentally rolled the Velocity perfume part on my lips thinking it was a clear lip gloss and almost vomited! Hehe... I was a lot younger though and just starting to get into make-up. I then discovered how much I loved the scent of this perfume and thought of how I wanted a big bottle for myself, so I bought two of these. I would probably not repurchase b/c I'll never run out. I change perfumes so much, so it'll take me well over a year before I finish just one bottle. Recommended though if you like anything floral/similar to Clinique's Happy! :)

Do you like Clinique Happy? Then you will like Velocity. They are very very similar (most people can't tell them apart, when you are wearing them). And Velocity is a few dollars cheaper.

This stuff smells exactly like Clinique Happy body lotion when you first spray it, then once it dries down it does smell slightly different. I like this, it is a lighter fruity floral. I bought this and the matching lotion off of Ebay for less than 10 dollars, so I will use it but don't think I would repurchse becauae I like Journey and Belara better. Plus there are a ton of new fragrances to try out. But still I would recommend it.

I like Velocity quite a bit, I just wish it was a little more girly. To be fair though, I require all of my perfumes to be unabashedly feminine, which I would say Velocity most certainly is. As far as fruity/florals go, it’s unique, it's not your typical fruity floral...not entirely memorable, but not completely forgettable either. I get lots of “I love your perfume!” when I wear it, everyone always seems surprised when I tell them it’s Mary Kay. It’s a good casual, fun, citrus floral. Sure it’s a geared toward a younger crowd but women of all ages can wear it...pinning a fragrance to an age group is off putting. My favorite citrus/floral of all time was Victoria’s Secret Secret Crush from their garden line...but of course it has been discontinued, so I’ve been looking for a replacement for some time. My replacement is Velocity. I remember smelling this some years ago on a family friend and liking it so much, I asked her what it was and have been buying it ever since.



I find Velocity is more citrus than floral on me, a zesty, alive and fresh fragrance rather than sweet. Most would find the scent appealing and non-offensive. This may sound strange, but despite all the fresh, energizing scents I get from Velocity, there’s also a faint base of soft, clean musk, which is probably what draws me to this perfume. Mary Kay includes banana flower as a top note in the description of the perfume which is surprisingly quite pleasant and sweet, I smell this as I wear the perfume throughout the day. The 4 scents I really get from this are the banana flower which is slightly overwhelmed by grapefruit imo, then orange (I suppose it’s the clementine that MK mentions in the fragrance description) and the soft, clean musk I mentioned as a base.



The overall scent doesn’t seem to change much except softening and warming just a little bit throughout the day. The notes are very consistent, which I like. Lasting power isn’t phenomenal, but no citrus scents are, it's just the nature of the beast. I like to retouch at lunch but can make it to the end of the day if I need to, the musky base note carries it. My favorite thing about this is a quick spritz at the end of the work day, such a pick-me-up! Velocity isn’t an all year around scent for me, I wear it in the warm months when I’m outside in the sun, or if I just need a pick-me-up. Not HG material (I only have one perfume I consider HG), but it is a staple. I took off half a lipstick for it not being “girly”/sweet enough to be HG and half for lasting power.



Packaging is interesting. The bottle of course is stored upside down on it’s orange translucent cap, while the top has an iridescent finish. 1.7 fl oz for $28 usd is a pretty good price which I’m willing to pay again and again.

Will repurchase!

I also got this scent in a lipgloss duo. I don't wear it a lot but love it when I do. A little sporty, but fresh and floral-y at the same time. I'd buy it if I had the money. I know the full-size bottle doesn't come in the prettiest of packaging, but the bottle isn't as important as the smell, I guess.

I like the scent. I got mine in a 2 sided lip gloss and perfume and love how easy it is to carry around. Super convenient. I would neevr have picked out the scent myself, but love it in this combo, because it is a great "pick me up" scent. When I am feeling like the days is wearing on me, and I need to refresh quickly, I can pull this out, dab on gloss and slide on a little cologne and feel renewed. Probably would not buy it in the bottle alone, though.
