I have dry, combination, acne-prone skin. This stuff has many good qualities: fragrance free, leaves no white cast, contains many antioxidants, package recyclable, and the company does not test on animals. I bought this moisturizer with sunscreen for 6 months. A tube lasts me about 5 weeks. However, I may have used more per day than most people just because my face is so dry. This is almost my HG moisturizer with sunscreen, but I am going to see if other moisturizers or sunscreens provide more moisture for a cheaper price. I would repurchase.

I'm acne-prone but can easily use this without worrying about breaking out. This product is AMAZING for the price you get so much more out of this. I don't mind paying more for my skincare but for this I don't have to because I've used lots of products from Clinique, MAC and Boscia but this has been the best so far.

I only buy this because the L'Oreal Ombrelle SPF for face isn't available in the U.S. It's very runny and the cap tends to fill up with spillage, which is frustrating and messy. It's not hard to apply and takes less rubbing in than other similar products, but I still get the whiteish, ghost-y look if my skin is really dry when I apply it or if I don't spend 5 minutes rubbing it in with my fingertips. Also, it tends to slide off in the water from the beginning and I end up with a white line at my chinline if I wear it while running. It's healthier than chemical sunscreens, I guess, but I'll replace it as soon as I find something better.

I've been using this sunscreen for about a month and like it better than any other facial sunscreen I've tried.I bought two bottles for $1.99 apiece (they were on clearance) because Paula Begoun recommended it for those with normal to dry skin and occasional breakouts. It doesn't seem to break me out but I can't be sure because I'm still having the minor breakouts that I had before I started using this product. This is the only sunscreen that doesn't irritate my skin and that's moisturizing enough by itself. It has a creamy consistency without being too thick, it doesn't leave a greasy or shiny finish and has no white cast. Some other reviewers mentioned it stung their eye area I have used this around my eyes (sometimes liberally) with no stinging or irratation which has happened with other sunscreens. Some of the other sunscreens I have tried are Clean & Clear Morning Glow (sparkley whitish finish slightly gritty texture) and Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Soothing Lotion (not moisturizing enough and it broke me out) this sunscreen is fantastic compared to them. This also works very well under makeup I use it with Neutrogena Healthy Skin Enhancer...Update:11/3/12 after using this a little while longer I am sure that it doesn't contribute to breakouts.Update 2: after consistently using this for more than 2 months this definitely clogged the pores on my cheeks so I stopped using it.

This is good stuff but after a while it starts to sting my eyes.It must be the octinoxate in it. Good broad spectrum sun protection so I wanted to be able to use this.Ive found a fantastic sunscreen in the blue lizard sensitive. Blue lizard contains only physical sunscreen,so agrees with me.For those people who can use this it is a fabulous product but I've always had a problem with chemical sunscreen around eyes.If you like me can't tolerate chemical sunscreen round eyes try the blue lizard.

This is a great sunscreen which feels moisturizing but never greasy. Absorbs really fast and leaves the face super soft. Never break me out although Im extremly prone to breakouts. Great ingredients as according to Paula Begoun. In terms of sunblocking capability I am yet to tell since I spent most of the times indoor, but the antioxidants effects are definitely visible. Will repurchase.

I purchased this product based on the recommendation of Paula Begoun's "Best Products" list for moisturizers with sunscreen. I really wanted to like this product, but sadly it just doesn't work for me. I found the formula to be thick and feel very heavy on the face. Completely interfered with my makeup and even broke me out after 2 uses.

I got this on sale for $4 and was very satisfied. It doesn't leave a white cast and is not greasy. It also hasn't made me break out. I plan on trying the SPF 50 one next.

I've always had the hardest time finding the right sunscreen. Physical sunscreens containing titanium dioxide and zinc oxide inevitably clog my pores and break me out, even though they're supposed to be "natural" and better for you. Chemical sunscreens don't break me out, but they can sting and burn, especially if they contain high levels of homosalate (for some people who experience stinging and burning from chemical sunscreens, the culprit may be avobenzone, but for me, it's homosalate). In addition, I've noticed that the higher the SPF, the more irritating it is on my skin, so I've never been able to use anything higher than SPF 30 on a long-term basis. It's very frustrating. Anyway, during my latest search for a sunscreen, I came across Kiss My Face Face Factor SPF 30, which contains a combination of chemical and physical sunscreens (octinoxate - 7.5%, octisalate - 3.0%, and zinc oxide - 3.0%). While it's not oil-free (it contains sunflower seed oil), it's paraben-free and fragrance-free. I've only used it a few times so far, but it seems to be working out for me. I haven't experienced any breakouts or irritation, and I like the fact that it's moisturizing enough to use alone (although it's probably too rich for the summer).
UPDATE: I've used this for about two weeks now, and I haven't had any breakouts or other problems.
UPDATE #2: I've used this for 10 months now, and I still haven't had any breakouts or other problems. Unlike most chemical sunscreens, it doesn't sting or burn. And unlike most physical sunscreens, it doesn't clog my pores or leave that whitish cast on my skin.

My face generally leans on oily, so this is the only moisturizer I use. It has healthy antioxidants, and the opaque packaging keeps the bells and whistles from being damaged by light. It's a little thick for my taste, so I add a drop or two of water when I apply. I find that even when I'm on the water all day sailing or water skiing, as long as I'm wearing this my face won't burn. I love that it's very nature friendly, with 30% recycled packaging that can be re-recycled! My skin feels light and fresh after I've applied this in the morning, a wonderful feeling.

Bottom line:
Great sunscreen that can double as a daily moisturizer for normal to oily skin. Make sure to avoid getting this in your eyes, it can sting!

I LOVE THIS SUNSCREEN.

It's really great stuff. It's not greasy, or white. It doesn't clog my pores (I have very acne prone skin), and it protects me from the sun. I wish the spf was higher, but when this tube runs out I'm going to try the 50. (I couldn't find it, and really needed something so I bought the 30).

This is my HG facial sunscreen. Love the green tea in it, for that added antioxidant boost.

UPDATE 3/11/11 - I just checked the Kiss My Face website, and they HAVE changed the packaging! And the price has remained the same - $12.95. Now this product will be perfect!!

I am reviewing the current formula that contains Zinc Oxide.
This is an outstanding sunscreen that is slightly thick when first applied, but blends in without any white cast or greasiness. It is loaded with really good antioxidants - something that is rarely seen in any drugstore or health food skincare sunscreens. It also is fragrance-free, another huge plus.
My gripe is the packaging - the tube has the cap on the bottom and the opening is quite large. A lot of product comes out if you're not extremely careful. And because the opening is so big, I feel the antioxidants are being compromised because of the exposure of air. It's also a bit pricey for such lousy, cheap packaging.
But despite that, I really like the formula and the high spf rating of 30, so I will repurchase. I just hope Kiss My Face realizes the poor packaging and redesigns it.

Thanks to the comments here I thought I would give this a try and I like it. I was skeptical, the brand was unfamiliar to me and I didn't like the average price of the product. But i did my price and comparison and was able to find it on sale online. So i got it, the packaging is rather cheap the lid doesn't have a great secure fit and it is small for what you pay for.
On to the actual product. So i know according to the previous comments they changed the formula, yet since I never used the old formula I can only compare it to what I have used (see my other reviews) The formula is light, yes it does leave my face a bit white but if I wait for the product to absorb it is fine. Since I use moisturizer and sunscreen and makeup on top of that, it doesn't get oily.
Sometimes my face gets really sensitive, due to roseacea it turns red and warms up usually because of the unfamilier products I use, this didn't do that which is very rare. I would definitely buy more.

i didnt like this as much as i would hope. its great for a sunscren but its too thick for everyday use under makeup. it does absorb well but it has a strong sunscreen smell which i only like if im tanning or at the beach but not everyday. it is a cruelty free company and product but just too much like sunscreen and not enough like a facial moisturizer for me. my hg is st ives which they discontuniued so my search to replace it continues.

great sunscreen! so far, this is the best i've found. especially bc i don't like that oily feeling all sunscreens leave behind. this goes on the lightest, much like moisturizers that only have spf of 15. but this one has the dermatologist's recommended spf 30.

the price is a little steep for how much they give you, but overall, i like this better than my second runners which include: la mer and clarins.

i've been in search of a sunscreen like this for years!

now if only they could make a sunscreen where if you wear it in the sun, you don't seem to sweat MORE bc of it.

I USED TO LOVE THE ORIGINAL FORMULA . However, they have reformulated it to include more ingredients. Unfortunately, I never got around to writing a review for the old one, would've given it 5 stars..
Pros: It's more moisturizing than before. It still also works good in holding make up.
Cons: Too heavy, has a strong sunscreen scent, tube constantly pushes out too much very easily...
I miss the old sun screen. I used to love the light feel of it, but now it is more like a moisturizer. I do not think I will buy the new sunscreen again, seeing as it has some pore clogging ingredients. Just because it's natural does not mean its non-acne prone!

The product itself is great, but it comes in the most horribly designed package I have ever seen. The plastic seam where the cap meets the tube ripped straight through, so as you push the product out it comes exploding out through the side. A wicked annoying pain in the ass.

Update June 2010: I'm not using this sunscreen lately as I now use Bioderma mainly, but I used it in the past with few complaints. To those reviewers who say this is non-chemical or Avobenzone-free, just want to let you guys know that you are mistaken. This does contain Avobenzone under its chemical name -- Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane. You might not react to it because the product contains linoleic acid, which reduces sensitivity.
Original Review 1/26/09: I've been using this from time to time when I need to look especially presentable in the sun, since most sunscreens simply look awful on me and cannot be reapplied without making my face a greasy, splotchy or white-smeared mess. The Face Factor looks great on and is very soothing. It actually makes my skin look better with it on than off, and I sometimes wear it in the evening for that reason. I also love the fact that it is fragrance free. It has a warm ivory color and a slight wheat-like scent that is natural and barely perceptible. It has an ingredient that reduces skin irritation from sunscreens. The protection on this is not great according to the CIBA website UVA estimates, and the formula is supposedly unstable due to mix of Avobenzone, octinoxate and titanium dioxide. Still, I am able to apply and reapply generously, and never got burned or freckled wearing it, so I like it enough to keep it in stock. I also do appreciate that it's paraben-free. I was told today by a person at Customer Orders for the website that it was being discontinued, but I actually got a call back from the company itself assuring me that the product is NOT being taken out of production, and that fresh batches will be shipped to stores this February, so yay! I know it's not the strongest protection out there, but I like this product and was thrilled with their responsive customer service people!

Please save your money. Greasy greasy heavy heavy awful. How they can call this a face sunscreen is criminal. I try a lot of sunscreens and none have been as bad as this one. And to top it off, when it arrived and I opened the top, half the tube/container exploded out at once. So not worth it!
